We visited Six Flags Hurricane Harbor yesterday. The park itself was fun, lots of great slides and a lively atmosphere. It was a holiday, so while the crowd was expectedly large, that wasn't really the issue. The real letdown was the food situation. We lined up at the Cowabunga Grill thinking it wouldn't be too bad, but we ended up waiting over an hour and a half, just for them to finally tell us they ran out of chicken patties and asked us to wait another 15 minutes. The line barely moved the entire time, and it felt like the staff had no sense of urgency or organization when taking orders. And after all that, the food we finally got? Completely bland. No sauce, barely any seasoning, just not worth the time or money. If you're heading here, I'd recommend packing your own food or eating beforehand. I'm only giving it 5/5 because when you buy a $18 raft inside, you get to skip alllllllll ride lines! Just get the bracelet with it. I have a season pass to both theme parks, and today I found a parking space closer to the entrance although the parking is dreadful unless you pay that $30 vip parking wish I had money to blow away like that lol, anyways the kids completely took over the park today with parents and you should had seen how long the food lines were omg you should had seen how many kids were there omg they need to do a better job with the restrooms they need to be updated but otherwise the water is super cold and the themes are decent I felt in another world for a few hours and the wave pool is only fun if you have a raft and the world pool is pretty clean but the leafs get into it and the people were just happy to be there! The ride lines were too long I didn't get on any rides today but next time I will considering the no wait time if in a raft. I wish I can give this place 0 stars. 2 kids went missing today June 22, 2023 and a report was sent in to security. They did absolutely nothing for 2 hours And the Cops that are here at the park did the same thing. They just stood around for 4 hours in one spot doing nothing. And when you tell them to look at the cameras they don't. But they will tell you they're "looking" at the exits to make sure they don't leave the park. But some how with them "looking" the kids got out the park. Lucky for the parents the girls ended up being at the car. The girls said that they walked past the security guards and THE COPS!!! I read all the negative reviews and I did NOT want to go. However, we had family visiting and they insisted so we gave it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised and we ended up having a great time. Pros: 1. It was not crazy crowded. The lines were at most 15-20 mins. Social distancing encouraged and masks required when indoors. 2. The park was not dirty like I read in other reviews. The pool and lazy river were totally clean. I didn't see a bit of trash anywhere. 3. The staff was nice and helpful. 4. The slides were fun! Cons: 1. The line to get in the park took a long time. And it was hot so the kids were getting a little impatient. 2. The beach chairs were all taken almost immediately, with some families saving up to 20 chairs. We ended up renting a cabana which was nice, but pricey. 3. The restrooms could have been cleaner and better stocked. Mostly just water everywhere which is to be expected at a water park but still a little gross and they were out of paper towels too. 4. Some slides did close throughout the day for repair or maintenance. Bummer when you are standing in line and then you have to leave and try again later. As mentioned above, we ended up renting a cabana for our large group. I think this made a huge difference in our day. It was $180 but included fresh/cold water all day and waiter service so we didn't have to wait in line for food. It also included 4 inner tubes so we didn't have to rent those. The shade and 8 chairs were amazing and it was really nice to have a table to eat lunch at. Totally worth the money, in my opinion, and reasonable if you can split it with your group. All in all, the kids had a blast and can't wait to go back. It's certainly not perfect but way better than I expected! Give it a shot and get the cabana if you can. We got new passes and needed assistance and as a leader she couldn't figure it out. She really made us feel like we were lying. Enrique came in and got it done. All in all I had a very good day but I will share a few cons while highlighting the pros. They charge $40 for parking if you don't have a season pass but they don't even have a tram running so the walk to and from your car is long. If you want a seat in the shade you need to be at the park at opening or be prepared to pay for premium seating. Shaded seating is very limited. Online it says you cannot bring food in but everyone around us had their own food. This was my first visit to hurricane harbor after going to magic mountain next door several times. I was a little nervous after seeing some reviews but my experience was a positive one. They have several fun slides. We loved tornado the most. They have more body slides than slides with floats so if that's your thing you will really love this park. Don't want to wait in extra lines? You can rent a float that you can use for several slides and in the wave pool and lazy River. My biggest complaint is that it's really unfortunate that you can't relax in the lazy River without paying to rent a float. I love that they play Looney Tunes cartoons in the wave pool. read more

We really enjoyed it... the pass was worth it. Great slides and staff has been friendly. Lockers are available and tubes are available for renting too. They have showers which is great! I had an amazing time visiting the "Holiday in the Park" at Six Flags last night and seeing all the beautiful decorations. The walkways were lit up and there were multiple snow machines in the entrance of the park. Santa was in the park with his elves and other amazing characters, like the gingerbread man and a candy-cane character. I had a few problems in the park when it came to the rides that were open. Overall, four thrill rides were closed and multiple rides closed an hour before the park closed. We were standing in line for over an hour when the ride started having "technical difficulties". The worker said that we could choose to wait or leave, but the ride was closed since it was 8pm. We decided to wait an additional 30 minutes when the worker said the ride was closed all together. Why tell us to wait just to close the ride? I'm a season pass holder and every time I come there are over five rides closed. The best part of the park was the strawberry sundae funnel cakes! It's definitely worth the $15 and long line. Overall, I'd be back just for the funnel cakes and photos with Santa. read more

Kicking up my feet while the kids play This is my first time to hurricane Harbor but maybe my 20th time to six Flags we have been here so many times but we never got to enjoy the waterpark. We are season passholders and we have a lot of of benefits within the park one of them is that we are able to enter the different parks with the same season pass. Which is just perfect for today because it is hot and my kids love water and they love to swim in this water park have something for everybody Another favorite of mine is that everyone that is in a swimsuit feels confident and are all different shapes and sizes. So for all the moms who are here with the kids and people who are curvy , skinny are all here for the same reason to have fun in the water and no one is focused on their body or how they look sure it's in the back of my mind but it is not the main focus of the fun here at the park that is why I am mentioning it because the dress code is simply to have fun. read more

I just experienced the lowest possible point and service I've ever experienced at Hurricane Harbor in all the years that I've been a member. First let me start by saying I've been a loyal Six Flags Diamond Park member for years. Today my son and I arrive at 8:40am this morning so that we can make sure to get a good spot in line and a good parking spot. We all know that the earlier you arrive the better your seating. I also have been allowed to bring a small cooler inside the park because my son has special diet and must have cold water to drink and healthy food to eat. So I've always packed a small cooler to bring inside the park. Never, Ever Had a problem. Never! So I get to the gate and the harassment starts. You can't bring in a cooler UNLESS you have purchased a Cabana. WHAT! I gotta now purchase a Cabana to be allowed to bring in a small cooler. I get surrounded by three guards telling me I either leave the park to walk cooler back to my car or I throw it away. Then when I get upset about this treatment of their loyal customers I'm told to leave for the day. NOT happening. I need to speak to someone higher than you. They tell me I cannot. I told them I'm not leaving until I speak to your manager. Finally a manager is brought down. I explain that this treatment of customers is horrible. He agrees to let me sit cooler by the gate. I'll pick up on the way out. My son and I are allowed to go inside. THEN.......get this. We get here early so that we can get good seating. Six Flags has now turned 90% of their seating that used to be free into paid seating. Meaning you cannot sit down and rest yourself UNLESS you go online and reserve those seats. You have to now pay for 90% of the seating in Hurricane Harbor. So you have to pay for a Cabana to bring in a cooler. And you now have to pay for seating to sit down and just lounge for the day. TRUST ME when I tell you, whomever the management is at Hurricane Harbor. These policies are horrible. Not only am I complaining about them but every single member who walked in today and saw these horrible new rules they instituted just to make MORE MONEY, are pissing us all off. I AM SERIOUSLY CONTEMPLATING CANCELLING A MEMBERSHIP I'VE HAD AND ENJOYED FOR YEARS. Smooth moves exlax! Y'all dumb! Seriously dumb. This day just keeps getting better. Then I went to the shop to redeem our Cotton Candy and Rock Candy points that we turned in the other day. And they are refusing to honor our points. Their excuse is that it's a corporate issue and they can't help us. YOU HAVE GOT TO KIDDING ME!! We earned this points through our membership and they WILL NOT let us use them. WTF is going on Six Flags. This year your customer service has seriously gone down to absolutely ZERO. We had to get out of the water. Walk all the way to the other side of the park to Magic Mountain to find a candy store where we can redeem our points that they tell us we earn for being loyal Six Flags members. Looks to me like Six Flags Magic Mountain no longer care about anything other than making more money. They don't care if your a Diamond member or any member. I just heard them tell a Diamond Elite member that he had to pay $50 for new cups that are supposed to be given to us for free. Wow, just wow. What a freaking day and this was all before noon. This is also duck poop, all around the deck of the pool. They didn't even have the decency to clean the deck before allowing patrons which include children, into the park. It's even worse than the reviews let on. Staff is incompetent, facility is dangerous, and the entire operation is a cesspool. Went there with a 3 year old and 4 year old. Arrive when it opens only to find out the two areas designated for them are closed without warning. They won't tell you a reason - unscheduled maintenance - is the best I got. They won't estimate what time they will re-open - had to force a "today" out of the ninth person I asked - and they won't offer an alternative or compensation in any form. Nearly 4 hours later, when it does open, the four year old goes an age appropriate slide only to bounce off the landing pad and get her toe pinched in a grate that's right next to where the slide drops you off. I've been a long time Membership holder. Gold to start and most currently a Diamond Member. Something they don't offer anymore! Through the years prices have skyrocketed without much movement in the way of seating, shade or additions to the attractions. Hurricane Harbor feels like the forgotten sibling of Six Flags Magic Mountain! This last time visiting, I realized that since the last two years parking alone has gone up $10 per car! Thank goodness its included in my membership! Perks for the Membership also seem to be slowly fading away. The tram only ran 1 time in the last 4 times I've visited. This August, we brought a friend with us and he bought his ticket. We arrived before opening of the water park and there were MANY people ready for the gates to open, but not a soul in the Membership line, 3/4 people in the group had a paid Membership and the person at the front (Jeremiah) had a power trip and made us all (including my 7 year old with a pass) wait for the regular gates. Which, I get it's policy, but here's the thing- he wouldn't even have come and paid for a ticket if it weren't for us - that's the kinda thing you just let slide seeing as NOBODY ELSE was behind or in-front of us waiting in that cue. The lack of shade, and lack of eating options at the water park make it less than appealing to want to spend the whole day. The only seating is the Cabanas that you have to book months in advance. And again- all people in the party have to have a pass. Very frustrating when you're trying to bring friends and get them to want to buy a season pass etc. The wave pool only seems to run half waves for 5-10 minutes at a time now. It's really just overcrowded and stressful now. PROS: my daughter loves it. For as long as the sun will allow. She finally tried the water slides she's tall enough for now and I hope we can come more often buuuuut.... Terrible experience. I bought 5 tickets for one-day entry for $60 each, only to find out that a Gold Pass is available for the exact same amount until Labor Day. This feels like fraud to me. Why would you do this to your customers ??? Why would you have a one-day entry available on your website for $60 when you offer a much better deal simultaneously? Absolutely the worst park experience ever. Took my six teenage grandchildren to the park on 08/10/2023. We were looking so forward to it. We arrived at 10:15 and waited for 20 minutes to pay and park our car. The kids jumped on a ride and then we decided to go to the bigger rides. Guess What? The 6 best rides in the park were shut down. A lifeguard told me it was for scheduled maintenance, although no one was working on them. I went to Customer Relations because we were going to leave and I wanted a refund for the $400 I had spent. The time is now 10:45. I was met by Richard who stated there was nothing he could do and he told me to call the Cooperate Office. I asked to speak to his manager and again he told me to call the Cooperate Office. There are now 9 people in line demanding to get their money back because half the rides are closed. I realized I was going no where with this so I took my crew home and I called my credit card company to cancel the bill. We stopped in the gift shop on the way out and the three guys inside stated they didn't have the staff to open the rides. I told him I was told it was scheduled maintenance and he told me they are told to say that. I have now read other reviews and I find this to be the norm. The security line to get into Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor is absurd. We waited almost two hours to walk through metal detectors that do nothing but provide the illusion of security. These aren't airplanes - why are we any safer inside the parks if someone walks though a metal detector as opposed to outside the gates and in the parking lot? It's such an enormous waste of time and so badly run and managed that people were worried about a stampede or riot. Once you finally get inside the park, it's small but decent. Hurricane Harbor is an amazing water park! It's refreshing in the hot summers and it gets hot in Valencia! Getting a pass with access to hurricane habor is worth it! I found the best deal on a season pass in September. For a special season pass sale, I bought a Gold Pass Six Flags $89.99 that included parking and access to Hurricane Harbor. Where do I begin? Why does Six Flags feel it's okay to thank their loyal customers by charging them ten times the amount for subpar food and soda compared to what they would pay outside the park? Shouldn't it be a thank you for supporting their business, rather than jacking up the prices to unaffordable amounts just because they can? This seems like a very unethical way to do business. I got robbed!! By the staff. There's no seating so I rented 2 reserved seats but the worker (a kid) accidentally charged me for 3 seats. He realized his mistake at the same time I did and I was directed to guest services. Once I arrived at guest services things got weird. The supervisor (Princess) advised me that they have a no refund policy. I explain to her that it was their error and I should not have to lose $45 simply because the employee pushed the wrong button. After arguing with her for a while, I realized they weren't going to help me out and do what was right. So I essentially was robbed of $45 and there's nothing I can do about it. We came to enjoy Six Flags and Hurricane harbor for my son's birthday. We brought along 5 of his friends. We purchased the "Birthday Package", only to find out after we arrived that Hurricane Harbor wasn't part of the package. The place is literally called Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. Wow this place is a mess. TDLR: Dont Go!! for starters, theres even getting to the park, A NIGHTMARE! I just told my Navigator Siri to take me to hurricane harbor, and she gives me directions to some weird hidden employee lot. Adding like 20 minutes to my commute, wearing down my tires, and giving me a bad start to the day. You know what couldve fixed all of this? A singular sign anywhere on that route that directs you to the entrance. So eventually we find our way to the front, and decided after all that to get preferential parking for 5$ more. COMPLETE WASTE DO NOT BUY PREFERRED PARKING. None of the the traffic people would actually tell us WHERE it was, and when we thought we found it, some traffic lady stopped the car in front of us and just had a conversation for like half an hour!! IT WAS RIDICULOUS. We ended up reversing with the car behind us in our lane to go down another way. Then we got into the waterpark, and boy oh boy, you better love over complicated wastes of time!! For Starters, No where takes cash, so if you want to give your kids some spending money, I hope you love spending money on a card you dont want and will eventually have to leave a remaining balance on! So Much Fun. Next we went over to the lockers, each of which sporting a cute, completely broken QR code. Ended up using the Kiosk machine, which worked fine. But way to make yourself look bad 6 Flags! After that we went over to rent an Floating Tube to do the various attractions that require a floaty tube. But they were out of rentals. Now dont be fooled, theyre going to say each ride has its own floaties you can use when you get there, BUT THIS CAN ADD OVER AN HOUR TO THE WAIT TIME FOR EVERY SINGLE RIDE!!! We took our family here yesterday for Father's Day. I used to go here as a kids so when my girlfriend said we should get Season Passes, I immediately said yes. Big Mistake. This is definitely not what it used to be. The park is completely run down. Lifeguards are poorly trained and extremely unprofessional. I say this because I spent years running a local water park and training life guards, and this place was horrendous. At one point I saw a life guard staring at a family trying load their child into a handicap lift as people barreled through them entering the lazy river. The lifeguard did absolutely nothing. You could constantly hear staff using profanity and basically using the job as a place to hangout the entire day. If I was running this park, I would have fire half of the staff. However, there were some great lifeguards that were working the wave pool at a few points of the day. One of the biggest problems is the food situation. You are going to spend at least an hour to 2 hours in line to wait for food since most of the places are closed. This can be extremely stressful when you have children that are hungry. The food comes out cold and is horrible. I highly suggest bringing food. Security is bad and this place is begging for an accident to happen. It is only a matter of time. We walked right through security and nobody checked anything. I could have brought anything I wanted into that park and nobody would have known. The cleanliness of the park was sub par. The attractions are not maintained the way they should be. It's dirty everywhere and there aren't staff moving around and cleaning the park. Plenty of people standing around, but not working. After about an hour or 2 we decided that we definitely did not want to go the season pass route for this park and that we just wanted to leave. Speaking with Guest Services, the lady was absolutely useless. We tried to either convert our Season Passes into day passes or just get refunded since we barely spent any time there. We were told "corporate policy is no refunds." She was blunt and very rude with her demeanor as well. You can tell these people either hate their job or are just underpaid because they are basically just pointless placeholders that sit in a window to feed people bad news. Good news is we just disputed the charges with the bank on got the money back any ways. Altogether, I highly suggest not spending your time or money here. There are plenty of other places very close to here that are a million times better. It is a huge bummer because I have some great memories here as a kid. Worse place ever. This was my first time at this amusement park and I was not amused. I pre-purchased so many things to prevent wait time and standing in the sun and it was pointless. Let's first start with parking. I paid for front gate parking. In addition, I have have a disability placard. I was informed by the booth attendant that I need to pay for general parking because disability parking is located in general parking and it's closer. Once I was informed where that parking was at it was still far. I decided to Valet. Valet said I could pay the difference but when I went to pay the difference the attendant said I could not so I paid 104 for parking. Next we enter into the park, I had reserved a cabana ahead of time. I feel that if you have reservations it should be a separate line but it was not. I waited patiently get to the front of the line and the attendant says who has a reservation for a cabana. I raised my hand. This man bypass me and pull the lady from the back to help her. He did apologize but when you have waited in sun for 30 minutes with my 85-year-old grandfather, and my 12-year-old daughter the irritation is real. The next attendant took my order explained to me where my cabana was located, explained that I would be given four tubes, and that was it. We arrived at 11 the time to park and get the cabana 1 hour. I took my family to the cabana and what do I find, squatters. I inform the squatters it's my cabana. Had a bit of an argument before I began to get help then they decided to leave. My kid then wanted a tube. We waited in another line for 30 minutes and get to the front for the rep to tell me I didn't need to wait because I had a cabana. That would have been nice if the cabana people told me I didn't need to wait. The last annoyance is the line for the food. I pre-purchased the meal plan. I could only use it at one place. They only had one place open with four lines open. You could not mobile order with the one day dining so I waited for 2.5 hours for terrible food. This place is horrible. The logistics could be improved in so many areas. I could have went to Disneyland for a more affordable and fun day out. Never again will I go back. read more
