I must admit that I was a little nervous about going to the dentist with Covid but the office protocols eased some of my concerns. Prior to my appointment, I was sent a form to fill out that asked me questions about my health such as if I have been around people with Covid, if I was sick, if I had traveled, etc. Once I got to the dentist my temperature was taken by the check-in employee. I waited in the waiting area until I was called for my appointment. The waiting area is clean, modern and nicely decorated with beautiful decor and there is a TV. There's also a television on the ceiling in the rooms that you can watch while you are getting your teeth cleaned. I was taken back about 15 minutes after my appointment time. When the hygienist took me to the back, I had to fill out another form that stated that I did not have a fever and that I was not sick currently. During my visit the hygienist kept her mask on and kept gloves on when she was in contact with me. The hygienist is always friendly and professional during my visits. Prior to your departure you are allowed to schedule your next dental appointment if you want to. The facility also provides you with a toothbrush, a travel toothpaste, and dental floss prior to your departure. Dr. Schmoor was out of the office today so another dentist that I had never met filled in for her. I had a temp crown on, ready for a crown, but one day the pain was just INTENSE! Thanks to Dr. Nassir, they could see me even though I showed up 1 hour early for my appt. Everyone in the office was super friendly and understanding for my situation. I had the meds in hand within the hour and my road to healing began! My previous dentist was Dr. Rankin at Wells Family Dentistry and she was great. When I changed insurance companies, she was not in my network, so I decided to try Riccobene on Six Forks Rd. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!! The tech who served me also did not practice good hygiene and then she debated with the dentist whether it was tooth number seven or eight that needed a crown. The tech did the x-rays and the dentist claimed to have found two cavities, which Dr. Rankin never said anything about. After that argument, which was so unprofessional, and because I had to find a dentist in network and they had already done x-rays, I decided to go to another Riccobene location. I chose the location on Veterans Pkwy in Garner. GUESS WHAT? NO CAVITIES. The dentist told me that he didn't see the need to be drilling into my tooth for and unless it bothered me, which at this time, it doesn't, he didn't see the need to do anything. SHAME ON YOU SIX FORKS FOR PUFFING A DIAGNOSIS JUST TO GET MONEY FROM ME AND THE INSURANCE COMPANIES. read more

Dr Rebecca Schmorr is no longer at Six Forks Smiles. Neither are any of the wonderful staff members who worked for Dr Schmorr. If you have an appointment and are expecting to see Dr Schmorr, you will be highly disappointed with what you encounter. THINGS HAVE CHANGED and its gone corporate/franchise not small town dentist with a personal feel that it once was. My children had appointments with Dr Schmorr scheduled in December, we were not advised of a staff change ahead of time nor after arriving at our appointment. Very unprofessional and not what should be happening when there is a change in provider. I noticed a change at my last cleaning in October when Dr Schmorr was still there, it wasn't as warm and fuzzy as it had been for the past 15 years. 10 out of 10, do not recommend. read more

I went there for close to 20 years. I enjoyed Dr Schmoor & her staff's professional & caring service. Even though it was a 2 hour round trip drive for me, I never considered going anywhere else. Unfortunately, not long after Riccobene took over, the place completely changed. Dr Schmoor is now gone, Toby is gone, and most of the others that made it such a wonderful place, have been driven away by corporate greed. I was going to Dr. Schmorr for years and I had an upcoming appointment after Riccobene took over. Not only did they not disclose that I'd be seeing a different dentist, when I specifically asked them if she was no longer there, they weren't upfront with me. I then said to cancel my appointment because I'd only see Dr. Schmorr, and I had to tell them repeatedly, by phone and email because I kept getting reminders about the appointment I already canceled. I'd rather go to a completely new office then somewhere where they are going to be honest with me. read more

i was sent off without the doctor reviewing my teeth seemed the doctor was much more busy talking to the lady patients this was my second and last visit the first time I felt they rushed my appointment but I just figured they were busy this time I had a 8 am appointment so there is absolutely no excuse for this. Absolutely love the team here at Six Forks Smiles! Dr. Schmoor is so personable, never tries to "oversell" or give me services I don't need which I've had happen at other dentists. Her staff is amazing and honestly, that really makes your practice. Any time I call or check out, Chad does such a great job and I always know I'll be taken care of with Shauna and Georgette. Last year, I decided to do the 6 month braces and couldn't be more pleased with my results. They are so flexible with appointments and I'm just glad I chose them when looking for a dental provider. read more

It's not very often that you find a dentist that's honest, personable and just...real. Dr. Schmorr has always been up-front and explains options, etc. I have a bad habit of waiting until I really need to see the dentist (shame on me, I know). But the staff has always been so accommodating and has even been able to see me same day. I'd say this is the first dental practice at which I've ever felt truly comfortable. read more

Ive always hated the dentist but this place is wonderful. They really care about their patients and Dr. Schmoor is funny to boot. They are located behind Hibernian on Glenwood in DTR. It's easiest to park in the pay lot and come in through the back. Once you check in, use the facilities to brush up and floss. Dr. S has these ready toothbrushes already applied with toothpaste so no germ swapping and single use floss. The office is brightly lit with plenty of hanging items to stare at. I've always felt comfortable here. Bring a sweater if you're having a long procedure done as it is cool inside. The view of DTR is nice and all the hygienist I've worked with are kind and gentle and friendly. Make sure you get your free toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss on your way out. The handle even has directions - use the fuzzy end. Toby manages the front desk mainly and is a pleasure to work with. They have these little cards to use to get out of the pay parking lot for free. Make sure you grab one and a bottled water on you way out. If it's raining they even have umbrellas for you. All in all a nice place who care about their customers. And that's the tooth. read more

Good dentist but the office manager is beyond incompetent. I was over billed plus they billed my insurance company, then they sent my account to collections when they actually owed me over $300. When I tried to communicate this to Dr. Schmorr, the office manager called to give me all the excuses she could come up with rather than just apologizing. What she said was, "I guess I owe you and apology...excuse excuse excuse". Five months after being over charged and 10 days after being promised a refund check had gone out, the office manager still didn't even know what name to make the check out to for a refund. I NEVER write these reviews (especially not negative ones), but am appalled at the service I just received and feel it's my duty to share with others as a potential warning. I am a new patient with a cracked tooth who made a 9:30 AM appointment with this practice. I had to rearrange my whole day to be available for the appointment but was appreciative that there was an opening. After not going to work (because I had this appointment) and keeping my schedule open all morning despite also being busy, I was called at 9 AM and told they "didn't like their patients to have to wait and were running behind on a surgery" and asked if I could go later say 11:30. I was frustrated, but would have missed a meeting to make 11:30 happen. I was then told 11:30 actually would not work and "would it be more convenient to see them this afternoon or another day" (no... it would be less convenient I thought). Now I was frustrated and calmly without any cussing talked through my frustrations to which I was told I was being rude (I was frustrated, but not rude). Usually businesses say "we are sorry about this inconvenience" around this time and reasonable people like myself appreciate that and move on. However, throughout the call with the rude receptionist and then rude office manager I don't believe they apologized once... it was almost made to feel as if it was my fault. In a world that has become increasingly less organized and polite and I've grown to accept that, for me to take the time to write this means I was REALLY poorly treated and in my eyes it's a reflection of the business and culture they foster. Someone seems to think rescheduling patients in the last minute without one apology or ounce of remorse is okay and then hanging up on them when they (calmly) express how much this messed up their schedule is appropriate. Really disappointing way to start my day and I now still have a cracked tooth and an upside down schedule (and yes taking the time to write this is not helping my schedule, but I cancelled all appointments during this time anyways). Now, queue their insincere response about how great they are to all their patients and how rude I was (I assure you I was not) and how they were trying to help me. Throughout it all there was some vague emergency, but something smelled off about their story and I suspect the doctor actually moved their schedule around and relied on some made up story in order to justify it. Sassy and rude office staff, rescheduling appointments in the last minute (if I had done that I would have been charged)... no thanks. read more

I am new to Raleigh and need some major work done. I telephoned Dr. Schmorr's office and spoke with the receptionist regarding my issues and was treated with professional attitude and knowledgeable about the concerns I have. End result, made an appointment and was received on time and immediately made very comfortable by the nursing staff and after some talking and laughter felt right at home. Dr.Schmorr was also a blessing. What I made out to be a big deal was assured that with just a couple of visits I would be good to go, better than new. My first visit was awesome. Ever hear that word in the same sentence with dentist? Not often I would bet but the entire staff showed their very best side to me and financing the project was made so that it was workable for me. Five stars. I highly recommend Dr. Schmorr's Dental Practice for all your needs. Finally found a dental practice that didn't scare the hell out of me. I recommend Glenwood Smiles for the staff's warm personalities and quick work. I've been twice for wisdom tooth extractions and I can't complain. However I need anti-anxiety medication before my visit and I wasn't given any when I received them on my first visit. Dr. Schmorr is very friendly and won't proceed unless you feel comfortable. When I moved back to the triangle in 2011 I was in desperate need of dental care. I had horrible pain in my teeth and I hadn't been to a dentist in years. I did some research on the Internet and found Rebecca Schmorr. My first visit I found out that I would need to have two extractions. I was worried and expressed that I'm the type of person that needs nitrous for simple fillings. They recommended something and we continued. I had no pain or discomfort during the procedure at all and I was still awake. I left and napped and woke up a little bloody but with no pain. Today I just had my wisdom teeth removed and same thing, no discomfort, no pain. The staff is always friendly, checking to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They provided me with a blanket. Rebecca is always very friendly and straight to the point. I appreciate her telling her patients exactly how it is, but always being tactful about it. Toby, works the front desk but I feel that she probably does a lot more, she seems essential to the practice. She has helped me a lot with figuring out what I need for a procedure, figuring out billing, and is always very sweet about the "stupid" questions I probably have asked haha. I have recommended Glenwood Smiles to everyone who asks me about a good dentist in the triangle. I also recently took my little brother here who hadn't been to the dentist in 10 years.
