The food was amazing! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The focaccia was so fresh and the lavender honey butter was out of this world! The cover farm ricotta was also so lovely with that lemon zest flavor shining thru. I ordered the garden Burger. The salad it came with was so crisp and fresh. The patty was homemade and beyond delicious. My daughter devoured her butter pasta. They have plenty of veggie friendly options. Overall excellent and highly recommended!!

The place had many tables filled so I would highly suggest going there with a reservation beforehand. Despite there being a good amount of people service was quick and all servers were very kind and attentive. Our waiter Steven made sure we were taken care of and everyone else were very kind. Our drinks arrived promptly, I will say there was some inconsistency in how our drinks were mixed since one of the vanilla drinks was sweeter than the other but other than that all drinks were delicious. The food on both times that I've been here was delicious with everyone at the table enjoying their meal. I've yet to have a bad experience here. I would say if you are debating trying the restaurant, take the opportunity to as you won't be disappointed.

The chef comes from the world of high-end NYC dining, and you can feel that experience in every detail of the food. There's a level of creativity, precision, and thoughtfulness here that honestly feels Michelin-worthy. This makes sense, because the restaurant has earned that recognition. Beyond the food, Archie's also has one of the best Scotch and whiskey (bourbon and rye included) selections anywhere in the area. It feels curated by people who genuinely care about food and drink, not just running another restaurant. We eat there often, especially for brunch, which is spectacular and consistently better than it has any right to be for a neighborhood spot on City Island. The best example of the attention to detail was the chopped cheese sandwich special. When it arrived, my first thought was: "How is anyone supposed to eat this giant thing?" But then you take a bite and realize the bread was custom made specifically for the sandwich. Somehow it completely melts in your mouth along with the meat and cheese, making this enormous sandwich unexpectedly delicate and perfectly balanced. It's the kind of detail most restaurants would never even think about. Archie's is a true hidden gem and proof that truly exceptional food can exist in places you wouldn't expect.

Whether one's in the mood for a cozy family dinner or a casual get-together with friends. Sitting on the banks of the Hudson River in Edgewater, my partner, our friends, and I decided on a celebratory dinner at the Haven Waterfront Restaurant & Bar. A reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon arrival as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table immediately by the window inside their floor-to-ceiling dining room, evoking a relaxed yet upscale vibe. Their menu specializes in American/Mediterranean cuisine influenced by seafood, steakhouse, and pasta. For appetizers, we decided on Short Rib Crostini, Kumamoto Oysters, and Yellowin Ahi Tuna Tacos. Our main consisted of Pan-Seared Chilean Sea Bass, 7 oz Prime Cut Filet Mignon, Bangkok Roasted Duck Breast, Lenny's Lobster Pasta, Crispy Lyonnaise Potatoes, and French Butter Asparagus. We even saved room for dessert and got the Bailey's Crème Brûlée and Assorted Dessert Tasting for two. We washed them down with I Dream of Lychees Martini, Berry White Spritz, and Haven Espresso. Complimentary bread with softened butter started our meal. The food is presented like art, and the portions varied depending on what one ordered. It's a little pricey but definitely worth it and fair considering the quality. Our server, Juan, was friendly, accommodating, and took the time to answer all of our questions, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful night all around--we're already looking forward to coming back.

Unfortunately, the service and food didn't live up to the setting for us. Our waiter, Danny, seemed to have an attitude from the moment we arrived. He hardly checked on our table, and after overhearing his conversations with other tables, it was clear that the energy and attentiveness he gave them felt different from what we received. Since gratuity is automatically included for larger parties, it made the experience even more disappointing. As for the food, several dishes lacked seasoning, including the lobster mac & cheese, salmon, braised short rib, short rib ragu, and lobster croquettes. Our group spent almost $1,400, so unfortunately, we expected more from both the food and service. The views and ambiance are lovely, but based on our experience, I wouldn't return.

My fellow yelpie Jeannie has been raving about their duck à la pressie for ages and we finally organized an outing so she can share her love of Tourmaline and the duck with us. Thank you Jeannie. The duck in itself deserves an award. You can tell that Yvan the head chef and owner has put so much detail into creating this magnificent dish for his customers. From picking the perfect farm to order the duck from in PA, to purchasing the machinery for churning out the sauce from the bones and internals of the duck, to incorporating different aspects of duck preparations from different cultures (French Normandy, Chinese roast duck) and teaching to Daniel in the city for some tips. You know Yvan has put his heart and soul into this one dish. I love how this dish is prepared table side by the chef himself with so many different stories and presentations. He starts off the duck with a serving of the perfect tot crispy skin served with his seasonal sauce. We had rhubarb. We were the stars of the room with everyone envying us. I can't recommend this experience enough. Worth every penny! In addition to the duck, we ordered some apps, salad and a fish dish. The seasonal cocktail Noveau Peach so refreshing and delish and dessert wine was a perfect accompaniment to the desserts. The atmosphere or the restaurant was cozy and high end. Lots of couples on cute romantic dates. The owners Yvan and Rebecca are the sweetest. I met Rebecca at our building bbq that they catered and she was just so lovely. Mentioned to her that we were going to see her the following week and she remembered me. Definitely check out Tourmaline. A true gem in FH and so happy to have them here.

While waiting, I sipped on a Cinnamon Maple Latte, which was bold and strong, as well as heavy on the cinnamon, but could have used more maple and sweetness. My friend and I shared the Bread and Cornbread Basket, served warm with raspberry preserve jam and butter. The Bread was perfectly baked, fluffy, and well seasoned. Cornbread was glazed, giving it a slightly sweet taste, as well as crumbly in a good way. The butter made the breads richer, while the raspberry jam added a nice layer of flavor. For my meal, I ordered the Steak and Eggs, adding Truffle Fries, which were an additional $5. This also came with a small side salad topped with radishes. The Steak was tender, wonderfully juicy, and flavorful. Eggs were cooked over hard, just how I like them and made expertly. Truffle fries had a generous sprinkling of Parmesan and were delightfully crispy, with strong truffle yumminess. Salad gave a fresh element to the dish. Service was lovely. Our waitress was friendly and everything came out in a timely manner. Prices were decent. I would consider returning for dinner to try the Short Rib or Brisket Mac & Cheese.

When we first arrived at the restaurant, we ended up waiting longer than expected as we received no attention. After a few minutes, the hostess/bartender came up to us and, while bringing us to the table, abruptly dropped the menus on the tables and walked away. Nothing was ever said on her part, not even her name. This was just one of many incidents that happened with her throughout the night.  Her customer service was awful with every encounter. She was always short and had a tone. I ordered the mushroom and waffle plate which arrived cold and tasted as if something in it was spoiled. After telling her that I did not want this plate, she grabbed my food and again just walked away without a word. She then returns to our table to say that she tasted my plate and that is how it is supposed to taste. I found this to be extremely disrespectful and rude on her part.  Towards the end of this awful experience our hostess/bartender changes her shift with a different waitress and no one ever communicates this to us. At this point, we are ready to leave as soon as possible. When we finally received our check, there was a 20% gratuity automatically added to our bill of only three guests. Again, this vital detail was never communicated with us. I mention the detail that we were the only party that was of color - I'm  unsure if that had something to do with it. Sadly, I would recommend you avoid this establishment at all cost.
