Thrilled my husband was able to snag a table here for our anniversary. There are only six tables, a prix fix menu, one 7:00 seating & us!!! Tori from Louisville welcomed us with a glass of sparkling Blanc de Blanc. The intimate, romantic, dimly lit restaurant was Paris-esq! We started with delicious whipped feta, mahi mahi & a chicken dumpling appetizer plate. Tom & Jenny, our chefs & owners shared their backgrounds & our menu. The scrumptious menu won me over before I walked through the intimate door. The signature lobster bisque was creamy & perfect as was the crispy mushroom soup. The peach asparagus salad in vinaigrette hit the spot. The ginger pineapple sorbet was a refreshing palette cleanser. Each main course were generous & delectable. It was a difficult choice between the fillet mignon, sea bass, seared duck breast in an orange brandy sauce, boneless short ribs or rack of lamb with a cherry kirsch glaze. Entrees came with mashed sweet or garlic potatoes & and melody of roasted mushrooms , brussel sprouts & carrots. Dessert was easier, the peanut butter torte & pistachio crème brûlée won us over. The wine list was enchanting, some of our faves were here! Even ice wine, port & chocolate wine from Amsterdam are available. We could have brought our own bottle for a corsage fee, but we have to drive home. Hard liquor cannot be brought into the restaurant. Twenty of us at six tables were close together. Walk inside and this small, intimate restaurant makes you feel as if you're in your best friends European home. Tom and Jenny, the owners and chefs, both with amazing culinary backgrounds, will create an evening above and beyond. Essentially. Start with a glass of sparkling Blanc de Blanc and chefs choice of appetizer. As you're sipping this you want to look at the wine menu because it's extensive and it's a perfect accompaniment to your dinner. The appetizers come as a plate of three. a pate, a piece of mahi, and a dumpling. All perfect and each bite was scintillating. Lobster bisque was rich and flavorful every spoonful was exquisite and sumptuous. Salad- fresh Mesclun Greens with a Gorgonzola panna cotta and topped with apricots , beats olives, onions, and a nice vinaigrette. The Gorgonzola Panna cotta was delicious. Châteaubriand was so tender and every bite melted in your mouth. My husband had the Duck. It was pan seared in a bourbon gaze and he loved it. I went to Six Tables for dinner last night with two friends. Our server Tori was so funny and engaging! The food is incredible! We brought our own wine and the corkage fee was reasonable. I feel scammed. I have never been to a champagne room. But I would imagine this is the same feeling as pre paying for a champagne room after seeing a gorgeous dancer and then getting the grizly bouncer named Bob instead. I'm leaving sad, sweaty and questioning my life's choices. I am giving this two stars 1 For effort (the plating and concept was nice) 2 the staff was super nice and doing their best given that they couldn't even take a drink order or process a bill (which was weird in itself) And let me set the record. The food wasn't horrible, it was just mediocre. For the level of hype and price point, mediocre just doesn't cut it. If I wait 4 weeks for a reservation and type Michelin into Google maps and this pops up, I'm expecting a level of quality of service and food excellence. (They don't have a star but Google's algo handpicks closest fine dining and shows it to you - damn youuuu google!) As they say, the fastest route to unhappiness is when reality doesn't not meet expectations... And here we are. Let's talk about Timing! Having worked in the food industry a good portion of my life I just can't get over this. The timing in this 5 course meal left us hungry and cranky! - hors d'oeuvres (the size of an amuse bueche but okay) an hour in - Soup an hour and a half in - Salad two hours in - Entree two hours and a half in - Dessert three hours in | | They also have a "palate cleanser" sorbet after the salad (which in itself is a palate cleanser so I'm not going to talk about that redundancy rabbit hole) that I am not including as a course - but it's there as fyi. By the time I had a substantive level of nutrition, I had had three glasses of wine and was hungry. My partner was like " why is the bread not warm?" I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt at this point. "Well it's really soft they probably made it earlier today" "Then why did they make us wait over an hour to get bread?" "Touché" Ironically, as we waited 1 hour before we got bread, my partner and I were talking about feedback to one of his jr. direct reports that had been complaining about the inefficiency in the work environment. "Is her work product good?" Not really "Until your work product is the sh*t!, you really can't talk sh*t!," was my response The food here is not the the sh*t! for the amount of all the hype. I concluded that due to the fact the ingredient list was theoretically awesome, and maybe bc everyone is tipsy by the time they actually eat that their palate, as well as, their discernment has gone out the window. The food was meh. Composition, sauces, temperatures all meh. The wine menu was about 6x instead of 3x restaurant industry standard. If you are looking for really really good meal head over to twenty twenty grille a few blocks away and have your mind blown. (No affiliation we just really love a great foodgasm). I love paying for an exceptional food experience. I once paid $57 dollars for a single ravioli with truffle grated at a table by this hot sous chef - it was worth every bite (all three of them ). Visited this place for a special occasion after reading a lot of positive reviews online from various sources. Place does really only seat six tables. The atmosphere is great with low lighting. This place is more about the experience. The chefs introduced themselves and a little history about the place, they took it over after the original owners. And what to expect. The menu is a preset menu with some options for every course, they definitely accommodated for vegetarians. The service was great as I expected from a place that only has about six tables. The chefs came out regularly to check up on us and explain the food and what goes into making it. As far as the food goes, I would say it's good, but nothing to write home about. A lot of the reviews mention that the food changed a little for a the worse after the ownership changed hands. I would agree with them. They did give us a candle on the dessert since it was a special occasion! Service was great food was good, not great. Really cool experience though! read more

What a cool concept. Only six tables and they serve a meal pre selected by a very talented husband and wife team. The chefs/owners do an amazing job of creating an atmosphere of semi private fine dining. There are a lot of courses so be prepared to eat. Nothing is done quickly, it's a meal to be enjoyed with good company. If your not a foodie, it's not going to be your kind of place. They prepare a meal everyday so everyone eats whatever the chef has selected for that day. They are only open a few days a week and you must have a reservation. The bread is fresh baked daily. The salad are creative and delicious, the in between cleansing palette dishes are just as interesting as the meals. I've gone twice. About last night...St. Supery Wine Dinner at Six Tables a Restaurant, STaR in Boca Raton was SUPERB! Chefs Tom Finn & Jennifer Finn really outdid themselves. Every course was beautifully & perfectly prepared and thoughtfully paired. (Please see my photos for the detailed menu/wines). We started with unique bites of sea bass, duck and shrimp, full of umami. Smoked salmon salad was bright, refreshing but the pickled red onions, basil vinaigrette and goat cheese set it apart! A 1st for us, the Venison course was lean & earthy and enriched by the Port Wine reduction. Filet was fork tender, melt-in-your mouth that had me double dipping at the Madeira sauce. Alas, everything came to a sweet ending with morsels of blueberry mousse cake and salted dark chocolate fudge. Six Tables is a small intimate restaurant in a strip shopping center with difficult if not impossible parking in the evening. The dinner is served in five pretentiously delayed courses. The first two courses are a soup that is good but barely covers the bottom of the dish and a salad that is very average The main course has a good selection and is tasty and well prepared. This restaurant is also only open 2-3 days a week so keep this in mind when planning a visit. The chefs are a lovely married couple with executive chef work at The Breakers AND The Kravits center. They are very talented and down to earth people. They give you a heads up about what the food will look like for the night and answer any questions you may have. The night started off with a delicious homemade herb bread and butter. The amuse bouche included foie gras, lobster ravioli, and steak tartare on a cracker. (BTW: They announce the dishes as they come and come to your table and present the dish as well so you're never lost!). They had two soups that night so my fiancé and I each got one. The lobster bisque was THE. BEST. LOBSTER. BISQUE. That I have ever had. The autumn squash was good but the lobster blew it out of the water. The watermelon and Israeli feta salad was a delicious and fresh dish. Best selection I've ever had. We had a palette cleanser of a pineapple and berry sorbet. There were five entrees to choose from but we decided to go for the duck and the lamb. Both were incredible. My duck was SO crispy!! I crave it even now. For dessert there we tarts, so my fiancé chose the lemon-berry and I choose the chocolate and peanut butter. Divine. This restaurant is a gem in Boca Raton and you MUST visit if you can!!! Can't say enough about this restaurant and the experience. Husband and wife cooking team that know their food. The concept only has 6 tables (approximately) and only one seating. The ambiance was locals and comfortable. Not too loud but festive. They had one other server other than the owner/chef's so the whole experience felt like family with an excellent service aspect. You start with an amuse bouche. Then you choose and soup or salad, choose an entree and choose a dessert. They give you a nice glass of champagne and have a wonderful wine menu. Six Tables or STaR...it's the same restaurant with the same lovely owners. It is an intimate, romantic place with only six tables, a fixed price six course menu, and a daily seating at 7pm. I have dined twice st STaR. Once was several years ago, but the concept has remained the same. Do not come here looking for the latest, innovative cuisine. The menu is somewhat limited, but it works. When you arrive you will be offered a glass of Prosecco. Afterwards, an appetizer plate arrived with two different ravioli bites and two scallops. Everything was delicious. Then came the Soup course. We had our choice of the Lobster Bisque, which is served daily and the soup of the day, which was a Red Pepper Soup. I went with the Bisque which was good but did not knock my socks off. I do not recall if we had a choice in salads, but I did enjoy the salad, which had an amalgamation of textures and flavors. At some point (perhaps after the salad?) there was sorbet. There were a handful of entrees from which to choose: Salmon, Duck, Filet, and a few more. I rarely even get a chance to eat duck but I am so glad I chose it. The duck was so tender and flavorful! There were a few dessert choices including chocolate lava cake, key lime pie, crepe brûlée. I asked if I could take my dessert home but I was told that none of them were portable. Too bad as I was really too full and it was a waste for me to try a spoonful when my boys would have enjoyed it. As you could imagine, in such a small place, service is personal and impeccable. The owners have put their heart and souls into STaR and it shows. If you go though, be prepared for the type of meal you will get. Had been looking forward to dining at Six Tables for years and finally went last night. The room is pleasant. Unfortunately, only 3 of the 6 tables were occupied so it wasn't very festive. What a disappointment. It started very well with the glass of sparkling wine and Amuse Bouche but was downhill from there. The lobster bisque, which was touted by the annoying server, was a pleasant fishy bisque, missing even one bite of the lobster she had told us would be present. The salad dressing was the best part of that course. We shared the lamb and short ribs, which we were told were incredible. They were so incredibly salty that none of the 5 of us could eat them. The lamb was good, but not exceptional. The small dabs of potatoes were good as were the brussel sprouts. Again, the mushrooms were too salty to eat. Dessert was mediocre, at best. The chocolate cake was dry and the apple pie was okay and served with a half a thimble of vanilla ice cream. Coffee was extra. At $125 price fix, we expected more. read more

Visited Six Tables Friday night with three friends and was treated to a warm welcome, choice of three types of water, a flute of champagne (that was refilled as needed) and a relish tray with garlic hummus and tasty crackers. The personal service was worthy of any 5-star restaurant. The menu was elegant, the butternut squash soup the best I've ever had, the pear salad was divine, and the lamb chops were perfect! Delicious apple pie for dessert and with a flaky crust that I could only dream about being able to replicate. And the sorbet before the main dish was an exquisite transition to the main course. The restaurant is in a typical Florida strip mall, however once you walk in the front door the decor, the lighting and overall ambience takes you to a small restaurant which could be in an old house. When we sat down we immediately felt comfortable and the music was also perfect. All of the food was excellent. This will probably be the best meal you have in Boca Raton. We had the lobster bisque which is one of the chef's signature dishes and fantastic. We also had the lamb chops and short ribs for our entrees which were amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection. Guests are first served a welcome glass of blanc de blanc champagne and escorted to their table. When everyone is seated, the front door is actually locked and curtains drawn to add more privacy. The soup was lobster bisque and was unbelievably good and I would rate this as the best I have every had. If they offered take out, I would order this to go. The caesar salad was simple, fresh, and perfect and complimented with fresh baked herb bread that melted in your mouth. The main menu choices that night were lamb (most people ordered that), salmon, duck, bison ribeye, or chateaubriand. I went with the chateaubriand and it was presented in an artistic manner in perfect medium temperature with a side of bernaise sauce and small round serving of mashed potatoes. Next was a small lemon sorbet to cleanse the pallet, followed by a dish of artisian cheese and fruit. The poached pear infused with wine was incredible. The desert was followed with a chocolate mouse and strawberry custard. This is a PERFECT spot for a romantic dinner and will impress any self professed, hard to please, Foodie. I was tempted to take photos of each food presentation with my iphone so I can upload them here, but did not want to draw unnecessary attention to my table and be labeled - "that guy". Where do I begin...my husband made a reservation here for our 3 year wedding anniversary and I will say this was beyond dinner, it was an experience! A 5 course meal made to perfection. Every course was simply beautiful and taste amazing. The timing was perfect in between courses. It allowed you to have conversation and enjoy the time with your partner. They only have one dinner per night so everyone was served at the same time. It is just very well put together and the host Tori and owners Jenny and Tom were lovely. We can't wait to go back and try a different entree. FYI, the lobster bisque is AMAZING! I ate it before I could take a picture lol. read more

So disappointed. Made a reservation for tonight, six weeks ago. Never received any sort of email or text confirmation. Called this morning to confirm reservation. Several hours later received a text, "so sorry have to cancel your reservation. Hope you can find another great place to have dinner". Really? Won't be making another reservation here. read more

First time diner with my wife. Everything perfectly flavored. Not salt needed nor offered. Wonderful appetizer plate Both soup choices were outstanding lobster bisque and tomato soup. Describing at tomato soup doesn't do it justice. Flavor popped. Salad was a wonderful mix of flavors. Great dressing. Dinner choices for us were short ribs and duck. Mashed sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes. Incredibly tender. Very nice sauces. Good size portions. Efforts were spot on. Both potatoes choices rocked. Desert was chocolate bromine and apple pie. Crust and flavor of apple pie was great. Giradellie vein ise were very yummy. Only down side. Service was just a tad and I mean just a tad off. Pour wine and leave wine bottle on table. Forgot to fill water. Forgot to ask about coffee. I would go back again however. The other thing they need to pay attention is rest rooms. Klee is "out" in ladies room.
