My recent visit to Abe & Louie's Steakhouse was, unfortunately, underwhelming especially considering its reputation as a premier steakhouse in the area. The evening was extremely busy, being the day before Valentine's Day, but the overall experience felt more disorganized than elevated. We waited about 40 minutes before we were even able to place our dinner order, which set the tone for the night. Food-wise, the only true standout was the salted baked potato it was perfectly seasoned and had great texture. The stuffed shrimp were decent but lacked depth of flavor, and the snapper was a generous portion yet surprisingly bland. The spinach was disappointing, overly watery and drenched in gravy, while the mashed potatoes were so heavily whipped that they had virtually no texture left. Even the drinks missed the mark. I had to send back a basic Old Fashioned, which is something a steakhouse of this caliber should execute flawlessly. Beyond the food, the overall atmosphere didn't match the upscale expectations. The bathrooms, in particular, felt neglected and more comparable to a portable restroom than a luxury dining establishment. While the crowd may have contributed to the strain on service and quality, preparation for high-volume nights is part of maintaining a top-tier reputation. Overall, the experience was very subpar. Nothing truly impressed beyond one side dish, and for this area where there are several exceptional steakhouses--this one does not rank among the best. It may have been an off night, but based on this visit alone, it didn't live up to the hype.

My husband and I decided to come here for lunch and it was absolutely fantastic. The lunch menu is wonderful -- you get the same entrées and steaks as the dinner menu, plus excellent salad and sandwich options, which makes it perfect for a satisfying midday meal. We ordered the filet mignon (medium), the BLT, and the cheeseburger (medium-well). Every single dish was delicious, flavorful, and very filling -- we even had leftovers to take home. The fries were incredible and you can tell they're made fresh in-house. We also ordered a Caesar salad, which was crisp, perfectly dressed, and delicious. Even the bread served at the beginning of the meal was outstanding. If you're looking for a fulfilling lunch with incredible flavor, this is a must-visit. I absolutely love Abe & Louie's for both lunch and dinner -- consistently excellent food and a great experience every time. Service was wonderful and fast, especially if you have a quick lunch hour.

Out tonight with some Industry friends at any event in the area and decided to book a table at this hi end restaurant. From the minute we walked in the excellent service began. Our server was truly on it! An old world feeling with the ip to date menu options. Jennifer was our server she was excellent! Very knowledgeable of the menu with multiple great suggestions. I Didn't listen to all of them but great choices. We went with three main dishes. 2 apps and a couple of sides. The Veal Parmigian was very solid meat however the sauce was missing the mark. The bone in ribeye and bone out was delicious! cooked to perfection. The bone in had a little tenderness but both was perfect. Mashed potatoes were just ok and the clam chowder was nice and thick. The scallops wrapped in bacon was pretty pricey only 2 pcs in an order. But the Calimari was very yummy. Dessert we shared a very shareable bread pudding. Sweet and flavorful.

I'm genuinely disappointed to be writing this. In the past, I've always had a great experience at Abe & Louis -- excellent steaks, well-executed salads, and the kind of consistency you expect from a high-end steakhouse. I was actually looking forward to coming back. This time, out of curiosity, I asked my server whether the Caesar dressing was made in-house. It was -- but when I learned it's made with canola oil instead of olive oil, I was honestly shocked. For a restaurant positioning itself as a premium steakhouse, there is simply no excuse to be using low-quality industrial seed oils in something as fundamental as a house Caesar dressing. Details matter at this level. Ingredients matter. Quality matters. When you're charging top-tier prices, the expectation is that every component -- especially something as basic as salad dressing -- reflects that standard. Using canola oil feels like cutting corners in a place that should never cut corners. It completely changed how I view the restaurant. I never thought I'd say this, but I won't be dining here again. The only bright spot of the evening was the attentive bar staff, who made an excellent martini. That's the one star I'm giving.

Oh wow -- it's been way too long! The food here is absolutely delicious. We had the pleasure of being served by Marcy, who was amazing -- attentive, friendly. You truthfully can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The meat is always seasoned perfectly, cooked to perfection, and incredibly tender and flavorful. And don't skip the hash browns they're a must-have! We wrapped up the night with dessert, cocktails, and wine -- the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.

Came for a dinner presentation at Abe & Louie's. We drove up to the valet & were ushered to the large bar. My wine was luscious but my pour was significantly more expensive than had I purchased the whole bottle. Our room was cool & comfortable. Service was impeccable. I started with a Caesar salad, then enjoyed an 8 oz filet mignon, spinach , mashed potato's & finished with a slice of chocolate ganache cake. My meal was delicious but we felt very rushed after our entrée was served, the table was cleared very quickly. The family style spinach, and mashed potatoes were in a very small dish that went very quickly and were not replenished.

We were in town to tour Florida Atlantic University and we celebrated my daughter's 17th Birthday at Abe & Louie's, on the recommendation of many Yelp reviews. The Yelp reviews proved true and we had an incredible night at Ave & Louie's. We shared delicious appetizers, yummy steak and tasty sides. And of course, no birthday celebration is complete without dessert! Abe & Louie's has an intimate setting, with a cozy atmosphere...which is great, because you must settle in and enjoy your night! We had excellent service and our server did a fabulous job all night, alerting the manager that we were celebrating our daughter's birthday and bringing her a treat with a candle. We started with drinks and the crab cakes and French Onion soup. For dinner, we each enjoyed a delicious Filet Mignon and asparagus, creamed corn and a loaded baked potato. We didn't think we'd have room for dessert, but we thankfully took home some steak for breakfast in the morning, so we could enjoy the famous bread pudding. This was a fabulous experience from start to finish...and I really hope Abe & Louie's will be a part of future celebrations!

This is one of my favorite steakhouses in all of Boca, and there are a lot to choose from. The food is always delicious and on point, the steaks cannot be beat, and since they've expanded their menu there are excellent choices if you don't want red meat. The ambience is classic steakhouse so it's very warm with lots of wood around you. Our waiter Victor is always on top of things that is one of the reasons I enjoy going back. Yes it's a little pricey but any restaurant of this caliber will be

Oddly my husband said we've dined here before long, long ago (I don't remember) but we hadn't been back. The restaurant has an old time charm of a steakhouse, with top notch service for the most part. Victor was nothing less than 5 stars assisting me with my OpenTable issue...he definitely went above and beyond, and comp'd a dessert for us for the inconvenience to no fault of theirs. As for the food, Cesar salad was underdressed and lacked Parmesan cheese, with pieces of romaine too big for a human bite...who wants to be cutting up salad to eat? The lobster casserole was recommended by a friend...it came drowned in enough oil and saturated breadcrumbs to make anyone choke, lacked salt as well, however it was perfectly cooked. The bone-in ribeye cut was less than I would have expected from this restaurant...I had a big piece of silver skin, and it was rather lean taste and texture more of a sirloin than a fatty, marbled ribeye...more like choice as opposed to a prime cut imo. It was, however, cooked and seasoned perfectly. The baked potato was barely warm...we finally flagged down our server and asked if it be heated ... we were at that point already 1/2 way through our meal. By the time they returned, I only took another 3 bites as I was finished eating. The potato was put under a broiler for a hot minute as the very top was slightly warmer, better...but underneath was still the same. The creamed spinach was amazing, reminded me of Peter Lugers in Brooklyn! Now the best was dessert. The butterscotch bread pudding was delicious although we wished it was crispier and thw chocolate layer cake was the BEST I've ever had, light and just the perfect balance of sweetness served w/ a big scoop of schlag (again for my Peter Luger fans)! A little inconsistent I'm afraid is probably why we hadn't been back all these years.

Finally got a chance to come here again and it's stjll as good as I remembered. They were quite busy at 5:30pm but the service was still good. If you come, I recommend making reservations so you don't have to wait for a table. We got the tuna tartare, 8 oz filet, sea bass and mushrooms for the side. The filet was cooked perfect to what I requested (medium). I also love that if you are celebrating an anniversary or bday, they give you a complimentary dessert. If you are looking for a nice steakhouse that has complimentary valet, plenty of self parking, great food and service, then this place is it.

Went on a Valentine's Day date with my boyfriend. The food was really good! There was a little mix-up when another server accidentally took his appetizer, so it took a bit longer to get it--but we still had a great time.

Special menu item w chimichurri, rice topped with bacon chunks & white beans. A side order famous Brussels with balsamic glaze.

Extremely delicious & decadent menu full of selection to seduce any guest into indulgence. Tried one of the Specials & it did not disappoint. The beet salad is a MUST try! Order, it's that creamy & leaves you wanting another!

As we approached the hidden entrance tucked under a portico, I noticed it was right next to a Jersey Mikes entrance which gave me pause for a second. We had a reservation and were greeted by an extremely pleasant woman who turned out to be our waitress as well. The interior is tight, only about 7-8 tables, a bar and a small kitchen. After speaking with our lovely waitress, we ordered and the food was delivered in courses which was nice for a change. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared and delicious. It turns out the single person in the kitchen is the owner. He hand prepares every dish and accompaniment. Great food, great service and the staff were all very pleasant. Before I talk about the food I want to say that the young lady that was the bartender and server was so friendly and gave great suggestions. The restaurant is small, however it is beautiful inside and does offer outdoor seating as well. Now for the food. They bring out fresh hot rolls with a small plate of cheese pesto and balsamic drizzle. Outstanding!!!!! We came to find out the owner who is the chef, his wife is a pastry chef and makes the bread and desserts. To start we had the Spanish chargrilled octopus. I know I have said this before about other restaurants, but I can truly say hands-down. This was the freshest, most tender, and one of the most flavorful grilled octopus that we have had. It came with a mixture of capers, potatoes, and vegetables in an amazing sauce. Truly fantastic. For dinner, my wife had the blackened yellowtail snapper in curry sauce, and I had the shellfish pan roast. Both were one of a kind dishes. We have never had such great flavor and seafood. Not to mention the amount of food that they put out and the presentation is worthy of awards. My wife's blacked snapper was cooked perfectly had a light blackened coating, and the curry sauce was tremendous. My shellfish were super fresh. Again cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. The sauce they were in was amazing. For dessert, we tried their homemade Keylime pie, and this too was top-notch and made fresh. We are planning our next trip to this restaurant and if you actually want a true fine, dining seafood experience you have to try this spot. I'm going to say it is priced accordingly for the true quality of food, the amount you are served and the presentation. If you are looking for a fried shrimp basket or fish and chips, this is not the type of restaurant for you. This is upscale seafood, and a true upscale seafood experience. You might want to consider making reservations as they do get busy and as I mentioned earlier, it is a small restaurant.

Delicious and light, great way to start the day properly. Farmer's Table has a solid and longstanding hype. I am Iong overdue in visiting for the first time. Perfect outing for special occasions.

The people at the table across from us came over to ask how our service was... so you know it…read morewasn't good! It started off slow. Our waiter was nice enough but took forever to come get our order. The food came out. He came by to check before we ate anything. Ok fine. We let him know we've come a few times in the past 3 months (about once per month) and the smoked salmon was good to split as it always comes with 2 pieces of bread (which they cut in half- so 4 halves, perfect to make 2 mini sandwiches with) This time it came with a piece of bread and a half (so 3 halves). I'm looking around for our server he's no where to be found. I finally spot him but he doesn't see me and goes into the back area near the bar to speak with another server. He then pokes his head out and I get his attention. I told him we needed another 1/2 a piece of bread. It took a bit but the manager came brought 2 pieces of toasted bread with butter. We thought that was nice, they gave us extra for the wait. The manager asked if everything was ok, we had the bread so yes it was fine nothing to say. We weren't sure why be was asking (also didn't know he was the manager at that time) We also got the omelette which was ok, not great. No complaints just nothing special, we wouldn't get that again. (Not this trip but last time we got their potatoes which were so good and a really good flat bread with figs so most of their other food is good) Then it takes a bit but he comes to clean our plates... and disappears again. A while later he has that check machine in his hand (I hate those honestly- becoming a restaurant standard but gives you no time to discuss anything with your party or figure out the tip) he asked if we needed anything I said no, thinking he was having us pay since we're not ordering anything else- but then he just walked away. The other table is getting rowdy and annoyed not seeing him either now. I see that table out of the corner of my eye getting annoyed with him. They're ready to go, as are we. We finally get the check and they charged us $4.50 for the bread. Confused I asked about that mistake. He then told us he sent his manager over to talk to us (you did?) and he'll send him over again. So now we just want to leave but are waiting for the manager. The man who delivered the bread comes over. Tells me it depends how thick it is. Sometimes it's 3 sometimes it's 4 pieces (referring to the individual halves of bread) that's why we were charged for a side of bread. He then tells me the server must not have understood. I was very clear and asked for a half a piece- letting him know we always order this. I didn't ask for 2 slices with butter- which they brought. The manager offers to knock a few bucks off but it's made in house so that's all he'll do. I'm not really happy I didn't want all that, I didn't order it and really if your server misunderstood why am I being charged? (Plus we're already frustrated waiting there, we've been ready to go for a while at this point) Meanwhile the table next to us gets up to talk to the manager who's busy "fixing" our check as they also just want to leave. They're clearly frustrated as well. Then the server comes by and asks us if everything was solved. Not really but sort of. I hear him go to the manager behind us ... and the manager says "I'm going to charge them something for it" Someone else from that other table comes over to complain to us about how this place is going downhill. They also used to really like it there- but now they're spending their whole afternoon in there. We have a lovely chat about how frustrating this experience has been before the server comes back with our revised check. So I went from coming here at least once a month (literally my open table shows me coming here 3 times since the middle of March) but I will not be returning anytime soon and I have a feeling neither will that other party (Also on their menu on their website the bread is only $4.25 so we were overcharged no matter how you look at it. But you won you charged us something!)

We had such a great experience at Eddie V's in Boca!…read more We called the day of for a Saturday night reservation, and the hostess was incredibly polite and friendly, which made a great first impression. Our options were 5:00 or 8:45, so we took the 8:45 reservation. We arrived around 8:20 to see if they might be able to seat us a little earlier. We were greeted right away, told our table would be ready soon, and offered champagne while we waited. Such a nice touch! The restaurant itself is beautiful. It's dark, modern, upscale, and romantic, with a large bar and lounge featuring live jazz music, as well as a separate dining area. We ended up sitting in the lounge and loved the atmosphere. Our server, Adrianna, was extremely friendly and attentive. We started with drinks. We ordered the Private Plane, which comes with a cute little paper airplane and a large square ice cube, and a vodka martini. Both were excellent and strong, which I personally prefer! We decided to do several appetizers instead of entrées and ordered the lobster tacos, Wagyu dumplings, and burrata and tomato salad. Everything was excellent with great portions and tons of flavor. The lobster tacos were outstanding and probably my favorite lobster tacos I've ever had. Then came dessert. We couldn't decide between the Bananas Foster and the brownie with ice cream. Adrianna told us she had an idea and would take care of it. She came back with both desserts on the house! We were completely surprised. They were both so good that I honestly couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I'm glad we got to try both! The manager also stopped by to check on us, which was another nice touch. What really stood out was how special they made us feel. It was just an ordinary Saturday date night for us, but from the champagne when we arrived to the service and surprise desserts, they turned it into something memorable. Excellent food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. We will absolutely be back!

From the time you walk in until you leave, service is exceptional. From the greeters to the server, helpers, and even a manager, who stopped by our table. Now the food. The bread was crusty, yet soft and warm in the middle and was accompanied by a salty butter that made it addictive. We had the calamari appetizer. The presentation was very appealing. The sauce that came with it was very tasty, but it didn't help make the calamari stand out. It was average. For our main entrees, we ordered the ribeye and the scallops with side dishes of crab fried rice and asparagus. My husband loved his ribeye, even though I thought it was a bit salty. The scallops were done very nicely, but it definitely was too salty. I asked them to replace the polenta that came with the dish, and I got sauteed spinach instead. It was probably one of the best I have ever had. (Sometimes the small things can be impressive.) The crab fried rice is definitely made authentically, with no soy sauce. Again, I made a special request, "no scallions," and they obliged. Hubby really liked his asparagus. But it, too, was a tad salty. We splurged for dessert and shared a creme brulee. It was extremely rich and creamy and delicious. We received a $100 gift card in the mail from this particular location, which is what prompted us to try the restaurant. One appetizer, two entrees, two side dishes, and a dessert with tax and tip was $250. We had the $100 complimentary gift card from the restaurant; so, we spent $150 on dinner for two.
