We decided to check out La Terraza after seeing they had weekday happy hour until 7 PM, and everything exceeded our expectations! We started with their sangria, which was delicious--refreshing and perfectly balanced. I definitely want to try the sparkling sangria next time. We also ordered the pan con tomate (tomatoes on bread), which was simple but full of flavor. They bring out fresh bread with olive oil at the beginning, and it's so good we could've just eaten that all night. We also had the patatas bravas, which were incredible and tasted super authentic--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the sauce was perfect. The service was great from start to finish, and we found out the chef is from Spain, which makes total sense because the food was on point. Would definitely go back again. Great spot for drinks, tapas, and a relaxed evening out!

La Terraza in Boca Raton truly offers a delightful dining experience that captivates both the palate and the ambiance. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable meal. We started our culinary journey with the calamari, which was perfectly fried to a golden crisp. It was tender and flavorful, complemented by a zesty dipping sauce that added just the right amount of kick. Next, the empanadas were a highlight--crispy on the outside and bursting with savory fillings that transport you straight to the heart of Latin cuisine. The sangria, both white and red, was a refreshing accompaniment. The white sangria was light and fruity, perfect for sipping on a warm evening, while the red sangria boasted a rich flavor profile that balanced sweetness with a hint of spice. For our main course, we indulged in the paella, a true masterpiece. The saffron-infused rice was cooked to perfection, with an abundance of fresh seafood, tender chicken, and flavorful chorizo. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes, showcasing the chef's expertise. Overall, La Terraza is a gem in Boca Raton. The combination of exquisite food, excellent service, and a vibrant atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Latin flavors. I can't wait to return for another round of their delicious offerings! A huge shoutout to our server, Angela! She was knowledgeable a bout the menu and simply delightful!

Service very friendly as you walk in, the bartender very helpful in chooseing what is good for today. I went with ham croquettes and for dinner churrasquittas a la plan has perfect - no too small and not too big. The place is nicely decorated in Spanish style. Dessert to follow

We recently went to Spain and wanted to check out this new spot! We ordered Papas Bravas, Pan Con tomate, a ton of sea food dishes. My party of 4 was absolutely blown away! The food has a lot of great flavors! I felt that I was back in Spain! This place is a must visit!!! Sorry but we devoured the food so quickly that we didn't even bothered to take pictures!

It's like Madrid without the flight. Some of the best Spanish food I have had since my trip to Madrid. The sangria is made to order and it's fantastic. From the jamone to the empanadas everything was great. Can't wait to return.

Best Spanish food outside of España! Gorgeous restaurant that feels like a step into Spain, with stellar paella, tapas, and sangria. The chef is from Spain, cares about his customers, and only uses the best ingredients!

Our server was amazing! We didn't have to wait long for the delicious food. I ordered the empanada special with 4 different fillings. I also got patatas bravas which was good but had to add some salt to it. queso de cabra relleno (goat cheese and crab meat) was my favorite! For dessert we were debating between the churros and the cheesecake. Ending up picking the cheesecake which was the correct choice. Next time I'm back I'll get the churros.

The wait staff were knowledgeable and very attentive. My wine was an excellent Tempranillo, smooth, fruity, velvety, and reminded me of my time in Spain. Lemon sorbet was out of this world. The best time to sit outside, enjoy the fresh air with a glass of vino. Thanks for the good experience. Will return for some tapas next time.

First time at this restaurant Spanish tapas they had the paella the shrimp were kind of small as were the scallops lots of rice no vegetables, but that's the way they make it. The skirt steak tapas was very good and the salad with goat cheese was also very good the dessert an almond cake with ice cream was delicious. The service was excellent the waitress IZZY was excellent she was professional. She was helpful and she was knowledgeable all the ingredients for a good waitress inside seating made you feel Spanish with red light indoor or outdoor seating. No problem with parking big parking lot.

We enjoyed our time here. The atmosphere was calm and perfect for having a good conversation. It was quiet, which we appreciated, but a little background music could help liven things up without being distracting. The appetizers were definitely the highlight. I'd recommend the croquetas and patatas bravas, they were full of flavor. I had the steak sandwich, which looked great but didn't have as much flavor as I expected. The lemonade tasted like Minute Maid, and I was hoping for something a bit fresher, maybe made at the bar. The service from Davie was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

Visiting from CT and so happy to find this new authentic Tapas spot in Boca! The chef is from Spain and the food is as good as it gets here in the states. As a reference - I have been to Spain and one of our favorite spots in CT is The Barcelona Wine Bar which we have frequented over the last 25 years. La Terraza's tapas and paella were as good or better, and these dishes and flavors transport you to Spain. My family and I will be back for sure. Monday nights are an amazing value with a discounted tapas menu.

This place was AMAZING! From the minute we were greeted and asked for our reservation's name to the ending of our experience; it was hands down so great! I had probably one of the best espresso martinis I have ever had. I'm not even joking when I say that. It was delicious. The apps were nothing less than perfect too that we shared for the table. The duck rolls were pretty spot on and that's saying a lot for not being a big fan of duck. We also shared the cauliflower. My main entree was the octopus. I'm glad I asked about spice, because they said it had a kick. So I asked for the sauce to be on the side. Our server, Riley, did it without hesitation for me. The environment was also really pretty for Indian fusion. There was an upside down painting of the Taj Mahal upside down that was sick!

We sat on the patio under an umbrella during dusk time, which was lovely. It wasn't too hot. Aspen was our server and she was extremely accomodating and kind. She provided her recommendations to us about the menu, which I really appreciated. We started with the mocktails "is there a doctor in the house?" And they were AMAZING! Super refreshing. It had pineapple skin, ginger, turmeric, carrot, and citrus. We ordered a bunch of items to share. For appetizers, we ordered the bang bang cauliflower, which had mushroom, paneer, mint and cilantro. This was SO yummy, but extremely spicy! My mouth was actually on fire. We also got the spicy tuna bomb which consistent of semolina puri, spicy soy, green goddess, and avocado. They were shaped like little circles that you could pop in your mouth in one bite. We got the Brussels Caesar which was AWESOME! I loved the shaved Brussels made into a salad. We also ordered the truffle naan with ricotta. This is a MUST! It was delicious. The truffle taste was so potent. And the ricotta paired so well with it. We ordered the ribeye cut medium from the meat menu along with the buttermilk miso. The meat was perfect. It was tender and yummy. We just weren't provided with a knife to cut it and had to ask for it. I gave 4 stars just because of the multiple flies that were surrounding us and our food at one point. We asked for a fly fan, but unfortunately they didn't have one available. Overall, wonderful experience though! Food was very tasty, service was great. I will most definitely return and sit inside on my next occasion!

I agreed that sounded like an excellent idea. Patio Tapas and Beer was supposed to have a good happy hour 5pm-7pm so we went with that. Its located in a tough spot to get a parking spot in South Mizner area, but we got lucky and landed a spot right by the front door. They had just moved to this new location from nearby a few months ago. It still felt kinda new inside in a good way. There wasn't many people there when we arrived. We were able to easily get a couple spots at their nice oaken bar. There were a handful of friendly staff there that were quick with some wine and some of their happy hour Montaditos. We tried the sangria as well which they had a large container of on the bar. We tried the potatoes, duck breast, shrimp, and Jamon iberico and manchego. Everything was darn good, the iberico possibly the best. Oh, and the Spanish omelet was a nice bite as well. It was a nice happy hour; much better than going to the gym. We usually come for happy hour to take advantage of their large menu of montaditos. I think they're all pretty good but our favorites are the piquillo relleno--a small, whole stuffed red pepper with goat cheese, the classic pan con tomate, churrasco, and cordero estofado. I would say those are the most flavorful ones and on our regular rotation. They also have an almond cake we always order that is imported from Spain. On our drive home from Miami to Jacksonville, we traded Interstate 95 for the slower, more scenic A1A. It made for beautiful views, but after crawling through one coastal town after another, lunch became a priority. A quick search landed us at Stage Kitchen & Bar on PGA Boulevard, a restaurant I later learned had earned a place in the 2025 Michelin Guide. After one meal, it was easy to understand why. We began with two appetizers that could not have been more different, duck confit egg rolls and a grilled cheese. Calling the grilled cheese "just a grilled cheese" would be unfair. Brie melted between perfectly griddled bread kissed with white truffle oil already sounds luxurious. Pair it with a bright mango jam and suddenly a childhood comfort food becomes something unexpectedly elegant. Richness met sweetness in all the right proportions. The duck confit egg rolls were equally memorable. The duck was deeply seasoned with Middle Eastern spices, giving each bite layers of warm, savory flavor. The accompanying peanut chutney added sweetness, nuttiness, and just enough contrast to keep the dish from becoming too heavy. These egg rolls packed far more personality than their modest appearance suggested. For lunch, my wife ordered the grilled black grouper sandwich. The fish, sourced fresh from local suppliers, was flaky, moist, and clean tasting. Lettuce, tomato, onion, and a malt vinegar aioli gave the sandwich brightness without overwhelming the fish. It was simple, balanced, and exactly what a fresh fish sandwich should be. I chose Stage's signature burger, two Certified Angus Beef patties topped with aged white cheddar, caramelized onions, sunflower sprouts, and their house "fancy sauce." This is the kind of burger that reminds you why burgers became America's favorite sandwich in the first place. Cooked to a juicy medium, every bite was rich without becoming heavy. The caramelized onions added sweetness, the white cheddar delivered sharpness, and the sunflower sprouts provided freshness and texture. The fancy sauce contributed just enough heat to keep everything interesting without stealing the spotlight. Dessert continued the restaurant's habit of taking familiar flavors and giving them thoughtful refinement. My sticky rice ice cream, finished with mango sauce and toasted coconut, captured everything I love about mango sticky rice while transforming it into something lighter and more playful. It was creative without feeling gimmicky. My wife ordered three macarons from local pastry maker Macaroner, S'mores, Passion Fruit, and Lime Coconut. Each shell was delicately crisp before giving way to a soft, airy center, exactly as a proper macaron should. Stage Kitchen & Bar takes familiar dishes and quietly elevates them through technique, quality ingredients, and restraint. Nothing feels overcomplicated or designed simply to impress. Every plate feels carefully considered. Sometimes trusting Google is a gamble. This time, it paid off. Great restaurants don't always announce themselves. Sometimes they're simply waiting for hungry travelers willing to take the next exit.

I'll go back, now I know what to expect.

We arrived around 7:30 and the place was busy, steady takeout and a full dining room. Only one…read moreportion of fesenjan was left; Rachel grabbed it. I ordered my usual benchmark: koobideh. Context matters. There are no full-service Persian restaurants left in Broward or Palm Beach County. If you want traditional stews and Persian-style kebabs north of Miami, Shahs is essentially it. That makes execution important. This visit didn't quite land. The koobideh had a noticeably springy, tightly bound texture, more cohesive than tender. It was juicy, but released a visible amount of rendered fat onto the plate. There was browning, but limited charcoal flavor, so the richness read heavier than it should. The rice leaned soft and compact rather than light and separated, which added to that heaviness. Rachel's fesenjan was underseasoned. The walnut base was there, but the sweet-tart pomegranate balance that defines the dish was muted, leaving it flatter than expected. This feels like calibration, not ingredients. Koobideh is simple on paper but very sensitive to mixing, fat ratio, and fire. When those details are right, it's exceptional. Shahs plays an important role regionally. Tightening grill execution and seasoning would elevate the experience meaningfully. The foundation is there. The details need refinement.

The bartender was easy to talk to and gave a couple suggestions without making it feel like a sales pitch. Both dishes came out pretty quickly even though the place started filling up during happy hour. The bruschetta had a nice mix of sweet and savory, and the avocado toast was fresh without being overly dressed up. I liked the overall pace of the service since nobody rushed me to order more once I finished eating. It felt like a comfortable place to unwind for a bit instead of a loud crowded spot where you're trying to leave right away.

Service was also very slow, even when it wasn't busy. Everything took longer than expected and seemed disorganized. On top of that, the bartender was rude and unwelcoming. I was also charged for another person's drink without being asked or informed; which was unacceptable and felt careless. The staff seemed "blind" to how to properly run a restaurant. For the prices being charged, I expected much better food, service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

As we approached the hidden entrance tucked under a portico, I noticed it was right next to a Jersey Mikes entrance which gave me pause for a second. We had a reservation and were greeted by an extremely pleasant woman who turned out to be our waitress as well. The interior is tight, only about 7-8 tables, a bar and a small kitchen. After speaking with our lovely waitress, we ordered and the food was delivered in courses which was nice for a change. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared and delicious. It turns out the single person in the kitchen is the owner. He hand prepares every dish and accompaniment. Great food, great service and the staff were all very pleasant. A great dining experience- we will be back.

Before I talk about the food I want to say that the young lady that was the bartender and server was so friendly and gave great suggestions. The restaurant is small, however it is beautiful inside and does offer outdoor seating as well. Now for the food. They bring out fresh hot rolls with a small plate of cheese pesto and balsamic drizzle. Outstanding!!!!! We came to find out the owner who is the chef, his wife is a pastry chef and makes the bread and desserts. To start we had the Spanish chargrilled octopus. I know I have said this before about other restaurants, but I can truly say hands-down. This was the freshest, most tender, and one of the most flavorful grilled octopus that we have had. It came with a mixture of capers, potatoes, and vegetables in an amazing sauce. Truly fantastic. For dinner, my wife had the blackened yellowtail snapper in curry sauce, and I had the shellfish pan roast. Both were one of a kind dishes. We have never had such great flavor and seafood. Not to mention the amount of food that they put out and the presentation is worthy of awards. My wife's blacked snapper was cooked perfectly had a light blackened coating, and the curry sauce was tremendous. My shellfish were super fresh. Again cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. The sauce they were in was amazing. For dessert, we tried their homemade Keylime pie, and this too was top-notch and made fresh. We are planning our next trip to this restaurant and if you actually want a true fine, dining seafood experience you have to try this spot. I'm going to say it is priced accordingly for the true quality of food, the amount you are served and the presentation. If you are looking for a fried shrimp basket or fish and chips, this is not the type of restaurant for you. This is upscale seafood, and a true upscale seafood experience. You might want to consider making reservations as they do get busy and as I mentioned earlier, it is a small restaurant.
