I am thrilled to have an excellent new restaurant in the Bethesda area. With excellent service and exotic choices, they make for a great evening out. We started with a small side salad that had a mixture of fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, and a ginger dressing. One of our entrees, goi simi, was a chicken stew that included shitaki mushrooms, egg noodles, wined gravy, bamboo, cilantro with a touch of vinegar. Finally, we ordered five cups duck confit.chickrn leg in the skin flavored with soy, ginger, garlic, and vinegar atop egg noodles and broccolini. All the dishes were quite enjoyable. Be sure to save your receipt because it brings a 10% discount on their Sunday brunch. Monday through Friday happy hour is something to be aware of. Can't wait to return and try other dishes.

We loved the creativity and flavors of the dishes we tried. Fried quail egg wontons reminded me of Scottish eggs. The shrimp rice dish was covered with layers of flavors, stir frying egg and shrimp sauce is a typical cooking style in certain parts of northern China and was interpreted very well in the dish. The cooking techniques perfectly displayed the deep understanding of cultures and ingredients. Hats off to the amazing chefs. Service was fast even on a crowded Friday evening. It's a bit on the dark site in the restaurant but I assume that's what the chefs intended it to be.

(4.15) ~ Very good overall food & service. This is "Thai-Cantonese" cuisine. Parking meters nearby & they take reservations. DRINKS: ** Water (tap) = (4) very good, must be filtered;) ** Thai iced Tea = (4) very good, especially to cool down spicy dishes;) FOOD: ** Green Hot Sauce = (4.5) Brightens any dish! ** Odean (pork) Satay (see photo) = (4.25) Very tasty w. peanut sauce ** Son in Law Eggs (see photo) = (4.15) Very unique ** Beef Chu Chi (see photo) = (4) very good, & the sauce is similar to Red Curry Chu Chi Duck dish I get at Thai places:) ** Coconut Cups Dessert (see photo) = (4) very good & shareable

We tried nine dishes during dinner, and every single one was delicious. Each dish had its own unique flavor and style, yet everything was well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared. My top picks were the Duck Confit, Beef Chu Chee, and Nathan's Chips & Dip. Also, don't skip the cocktails--they were just as impressive as the food. Definitely worth a visit!

The food is delicious across the board. The restaurant has a cozy, comfortable atmosphere that's perfect for relaxing. The decor is beautiful, the ambiance is great, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place!

How often do go to a Thai restaurant in the DMV and it's always the same ol' same ol'? I'd say 70-80% of the time the menu looks like standard Thai fare. 'Well that's just not fair' says Billy Thai [TM] me. I've eaten at over 180 Thais in the DMV and I must say there are at least Six dishes on this menu I've never ever seen before. Let's be honest though this place is kinda heading into the fusion direction. That's fine though because the food was top rate all the way around. I can't say enough and the service was very quick and efficient. If there were any kinks in this place they will be worked out and I'm telling you NOW...this is a Washingtonian Magazine Top 100 easily to me. Since there are typically only 2-4 Thais that make the List this would quite an accomplishment. I am totally impressed and I think working out some of the estetic issues they will be well on their Way...possibly Six Ways!!!

Amazing food. Great service. We had a wonderful dinner. Duck confit, chicken himmapan, three apps, and a tasty cocktail. Did not have room for anything else, but I'll be back to try the rest of the menu.

Good drinks , delicious food, great services If you like spicy haodong is so tasty good with drinks , we will come back again

Was feeling hangry because I had planned on stopping at Hard Times for a bowl of chili -and found out they were closed on Mondays. So, pretty much pulled a name out of a hat and would up at Chuan Tian Xia because, well, Szechuan cooking uses chiles, no? Yesssss! I ordered Signature Dumplings and a bowl of Beijing-style Beijing-style Zhajiang Noodles. The dumplings were outstanding: a mix of shrimp, pork, and chive that were plump, juicy, fragrant with the herbaceous flavor of chives. The accompanying sauce was not too sweet, not too hot, just right as a complement to the dumplings. Yowza. I was a happy camper... ...and then I dug into my noodles. Double yowza! Thick wheat noodles topped with a rich sauce made from (I think) fermented soybean paste and braised pork belly, garnished with cucumbers. The portion was way to big for me to eat after my flight, but I really, really enjoyed it (and the remaining dumplings) for lunch today. Did I say yowza? I'm an adventurous eater so the menu's less Americanized items were what I would have ordered given more time (like Maoxuewang: can you say "pig's tongue, spam, pork intestine, and beef tripe"? Protein is protein, baby!). Just means I need to come back, and I will, as quickly as I can.

The food is wonderful and well presented. The decor, however, which suited its original hot pot requirements, needs updating. There's only free parking on Sundays. Most of the dim sum we selected were delicious such as the triple layer doupi, Beijing duck bao, mini Lion's head, pork soup dumpling, and beef wide noodle, for entrees and lava walnut bao, baked egg yolk lava bun, and mini rice ball in wine broth for dessert. The pork soup dumplings were full of soup. The desserts, roast pork pastry, and pork shu mai were hot and freshly cooked. For soup, I liked the pork ribs and lotus soup better than the fish ball soup which was bland. I've had better cucumber salads, stir fried green beans, steamed pork ribs, and sesame noodles. The honey riblets are good if you like very sweet ribs. There were a lot of servers coming constantly asking if you want to order more. There is a forced 18% gratuity for tip if you choose to have the AYCE. I liked how the portion sizes were small so you can try a variety of dishes.

The location here is near the metro, but seems out of place in a building without other restaurants kind of hidden below the street level. They seemed to acknowledge everyone other than me who was there for takeout, but I finally got mine. I tried a fried rice and was irritated that there was a no egg option but not a no broccoli option (not a Chinese vegetable mind you), which left me with little more than a colored rice to pick through. The tofu with hot peppers hit a nice heat but not the best rendition of this dish I've had in terms of flavor complexity. The best thing I got was a dan dan noodle dish with some vicious sauce and little tofu bites. Overall though, scant portions for the money, and not quite the experience I was hoping for.

The miso soup was incredibly salty to the point where I couldn't eat most of it. The Vietnamese spring rolls were okay but maybe different than I expected-- I like mine with vegetables usually and it was literally all meat in it. They were juicy, just not what I prefer. The pad see ew and green beans just didn't have any flavor to them. The Szechuan didn't even have any heat to it. I ended up having to add soy sauce and a lot of chili oil to make it flavorful enough to enjoy. Also, this cost me over $50 so it was not worth the price, even for the portion sizes. Maybe it was just an off day.. not sure but I was definitely disappointed.

I've been here for takeout/delivery twice now since I've lived in the area. As far as a "takeout"…read moreChinese restaurant, I think they're one of the very best in the area - there are a lot to choose from - and the people there are super nice. The first time I went the owner (I believe) was super apologetic for a mistake and basically gave me one entree for free to make up for it which was more than he needed to do. All the food is top notch, but maybe my favorite thing about this place is the food selection. I'm a chicken guy and they have a couple options that not all Chinese restaurants do that I absolutely love. First, you can get the General Tsos with white meat. Their General Tsos is very good anyway and with the white meat, it's outstanding. Second, they have chicken dumplings which you can get steamed which is another favorite of mine. I admittedly haven't tried those yet, but I will next time. But regardless of what your favorites are, they have an excellent selection. I have only one complaint about Bite of Asia. In a trend that seems to be happening more and more at Chinese restaurants around here, they do not have house made hot mustard (only the packets). I literally go to certain restaurants just because they have house made hot mustard and I love it. And while I realize I can make my own, if I'm ordering food, it's at least partially because I don't want to put in any effort. BITE OF ASIA, PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING YOUR OWN HOT MUSTARD and if you do, I promise I will order from you much more often.
