The people at this location are great. But the Company as a whole is terrible. I rented a car for 4 days because mine was down. The total for 4 days was $320.00, well the dealer got mine repaired quickly and I returned the car the next day, I was charged a $10 fee for an early return and $175 for one day rental! Thats insane. I explained the pricing issue to the company and they refused to give me the difference, so a $80 a day car magically turned into a $175 a day car. Beware of this company they will prey on the little people and use loopholes to boost their profits. read more

This is best explained with my review at Enterprise on YELP. Suffice to say Sixt dropped the ball, and Enterprise picked it up and scored a TD!!! The problem is not necessarily with the personnel at this location. I can only suggest "Buyer(renter in this case) beware" We were told that anything outside SE US would incur a $0.50/mile charge, on our UNLIMITED mileage agreed vehicle. Specifically, going into TN from GA. We were renting to shuttle family members to funeral in Ohio. Didn't really feel like driving to Ringgold, GA and catching a bus the rest of the way. NOTE this occurred the day before departure, but still added to an already stressful time. Maybe they provide a good service if you are only using it locally....like driving around the block. I made a reservation through Priceline for an SUV 6 days for June 7th, 2023. I tried to cancel the very next day because the vehicle would be too small for our party. First, never was able to speak on the phone with a live person. Received a series of emails instructing how to go about cancelling, with no success as the link would error out. Finally received the email wanting me to confirm the cancellation fee of $594.59 penalty. This is so outrageous on so many llevels. With a month to go I am confident there would not be any loss in revenue for them. Another example on how companies like this and others legally rob consumers. read more

We had a pleasant experience with our rental pick up here. The employees went over everything in our package clearly. I would recommend using the app or registering online ahead of time to make the process faster. We requested for a wifi hotspot and it took about 30 minutes for that to be delivered. That would be the only downside for me. But otherwise no complaints with Sixt! read more

We used this company twice while on vacation. Both times, the car we reserved wasn't available. They always try to upsell you to get something similar to what you reserved, even after spending a lot of money. I don't care about spending money, but at least expect to get what I reserved ... The only complain I would give is the fact that they are located off site. I did not realize that when I booked the rental. The shuttle service was quick as the shuttle was right outside the airport waiting for us. Pulling off a customer insisted that our driver stop and pick them up. The driver pointed to the pick up location and apologized. I felt bad for the customer but safety first! Good job Sixt. One should not be picked up in the middle of the street. Our driver quickly used the walkie or talkie to report there was another customer waiting. Once at the rental site the process was quick and helpful. I took a star off because the vehicle we had originally booked was no longer available. This is something that we should have been made aware of before arriving to pick up the vehicle. They did accommodate us to a similar vehicle. The return process was just as quick. They had someone walk around to inspect the car. Walking inside the process was also quick as we made final payments that included fees for Sunpass. The shuttle was ready to take us back and we didn't have to wait for more customers. Overall, we had a very good experience and would definitely rent from here again. read more

Called customer service and spoke with an incredibly rude representative named Hezla. Despite paying for the rental online, I was curious of whether or not Sixt would place a hold on my card. So, logic told me to call customer service and ask. Evidently, they can't tell me how much they're going to charge until I get to the counter and sign the contract. Huh? I asked if I gave my information if she could look it up..."No." Can I call the branch? "No." Can I speak with a supervisor? "No." Really? So you can't tell me how much my grand total is going to be until you lock me into paying for it? I'm calling back tomorrow and if I don't receive any definitive answer, taking my hard earned dollars elsewhere. **UPDATE** Worst experience I've ever had. Paid my rental in full, but because my wallet was stolen one day before vacation, I had to place a deposit on a different hard. Because of this, they were informing me that they were going to charge me for the rental in FULL DESPITE HAVING PREPAID THE ENTIRE AMOUNT!! It gets better. They then told me I'd have to wait 7-10 business days to receive a refund on the old account! Are you serious? What a joke. Still dealing with this nonsense. Scam scam scam. Picked up our vehicle in the evening after dawn so we couldn't do a proper inspection of the outside of the vehicle. No one walked around it with us. Returned the car and received an email a week later saying there was damages and we owe $800. Although we dispute this as no damage occurred when we were In or around the vehicle they send pictures of minuscule scratches, partially our fault for not fully checking the outside of the vehicle with a fine tooth comb. Also don't really expect a rental company to charge you for tiny scratches on a vehicle , one of which which was near the back hatch so likely someone loading their luggage. After trying to dispute and getting a very rude customer service person. We paid our $100 rental deductible which luckily we purchased. Thought that would be it.. nope I got another invoice for "diminished value of the vehicle" for $150. Such a scam, this company is trash and I hope they go bankrupt very soon. Awful. Don't bother replying to this , there is 0 you can do to change my mind about your trash company. read more

I recently rented a black jeep Cherokee from this place. It was quite luxurious with leather exterior, much space, and advanced features. They included a car seat for my infant and the fact that it was sooo clean was an absolute plus. The cost of the car was affordable and the staff was very pleasant. Rented from this company despite some warnings. There were a couple of decent reviews, so I booked with them. Called the night before I was supposed to pick up, just to confirm. They had my reservation but no vehicles. Customer service rep was delighted to tell me that they had no vehicles and probably won't in the morning. I had an 8:00 reservation and would have wasted a trip over there, lost part of the day and the money I would have spent getting there and back. She asked if I wanted to keep the reservation. What the hell for? Should have gone with my instincts that the price was too good to be true. I only made the reservation 2 months ahead. We had a wonderful trip to Boca planned for months all to be ruined by the service of this rental company. Not only did they not have the vehicle we requested they tried to charge over $300 for $80 rental. The representative was clearly having a bad or just clearly hates her job. They don't accept debit cards unless your a tourist visiting( never heard of that) didn't even let us know how much they were authorizing either. Second time renting from sixt rental because their rates are always substantially lower than the competitors. Was not wild about only one person running the desk last time at a previous sixt location but for the price and I had time to spare. This time we had no wait we actually arrived before pick up time and they put a rush on the van we rented to be cleaned asap. Picked it up promptly the van was very clean and was exactly like the picture shown on the internet. The van worked great no problems. Dropped off and received my receipt email. My second time renting from Sixt! Again, as I'm still not yet 25, I paid just under $1000 for almost 4 weeks of rental during November - expensive but much more reasonable than other companies who will charge double or more! I came back because the 'young driver' surcharge is so much less than other companies, and as it's capped after a certain amount it's very good value if you're renting for more than a couple of weeks. I had a few minor issues on my last rental (see my other reviews) but nothing too offputting so I came back. My only small complaint is that there are TWO pickup locations labelled 'Lake Buena Vista/near Kissimmee', so ensure you choose the right one when booking by verifying the full address! The other location is on S Apopka-Vineland Road right near Disney. I did go to the wrong location; luckily a friend was dropping me off and drove the extra 10 minutes to the correct one, and since a member of staff called ahead for me I wasn't penalised for being a little late. It wasn't busy at all and the member of staff on duty was very friendly and helpful - he walked me through the paperwork process and didn't pressure me into extras I didn't need. I'd signed up for a small car so was expecting a Mini or similar. He pulled around the Mini Countryman I was meant to have, about to give me the keys and suddenly noticed that it was dirty due to some bird mess on the side. The Mini looked fine otherwise so I didn't mind, but he insisted on bringing out a Chevrolet Trax (small SUV) instead, since there were no more 'small cars' available. I was pleasantly surprised with the unexpected upgrade, it felt comfortable, powerful and safe to drive (with plenty of space in the back for luggage and shopping), and probably would have cost me significantly more if I'd specified this model when booking online. Remember to bring a credit card with you as it DOES specify in the small print online at the time of booking that you'll need one! Any deposit was put straight back on my card and (so far) there don't appear to be any surprise charges - I'll update and let you know if that changes. I had no issues at all with the car over the 4 weeks and I was able to drop it off at a more convenient location for me - again, the staff were very friendly, made the process so easy and I wasn't kept waiting more than a few minutes. A perfect rental experience - I'm planning on visiting again before my 25th birthday and will definitely be booking here again, providing the prices are still just as reasonable. Once I'm 25 I will look at other companies to see what's most affordable for me, but I know I had a great experience with Sixt and that the customer service is excellent. read more

I'm so disappointed I've rented cars before never had an issue but the last time I rented a car The car was driving very funny so when I called to ask to trade it in and they wouldn't even upgrade my car even though it needed an oil change and the service light was on but they still let me leave with it bc I didn't have a ride home I brought it back with a full tank of gas and they charge me $22 for not bringing it back full which I have pictures also the representative told me I was OK to get my $200 deposit back Still waiting for my deposit back and it's been a week I'm definitely going to use enterprise next time read more

Rented from this company twice. Both times cars had check engine lights which I was told to ignore. The second time, the car stalled out on I-4, scaring the heck out of my mom and kids. Returned that car to receive another car which I happily drove. Received an all clear when I returned the car. Then came the bill. When I first picked up the car I did not look over the car carefully and did not notice a chip in the windshield (out of drivers sight line). I have been charged the cost of replacing the windshield. They have a policy that states that if damage is noticed by them after you return the car (whether or not damage was caused by you) you are charged for the damage. My advice: when they give you a car covered in water droplets, in a dark garage, take it somewhere where you can review it carefully and take time stamped photos. And when you return the car on a sunny day, take time stamped photos as well. Lesson learned. read more

I AM DISGUSTED with this place!!! Do yourself a favor and steer clear. Mistakes, lies, upcharges, overcharges, one thing after another when I rented a vehicle here. I had my vehicle for 5 days, 1st when I picked it up with employee Jallah he claimed they didn't have the vehicle a reserved so they gave me a better one except they had to charge me over $100 more. After some back and forth of me disagreeing they finally agreed to give me the "upgraded" vehicle for the same amt of the reserved vehicle. On the way to return the vehicle I stopped and got gas at a station 4 miles from rental car place. I returned the keys to the employee and left to catch my flight. I received an email receipt which indicated they charged me $117.00 for refueling. UMMM WTH.. so I called the Kissimmee office and was by told by Jallah that I didn't put gas in the vehicle and they couldn't even rent the car since there was no gas. I argued with him for a bit then asked to speak to a manager. When I got Melissa on the phone. I told her what happened in the beginning with the upgraded vehicle and Jallah trying to charge me... she said that shouldn't have happened and she asked him about it and he denied saying that to me. WOW like I would make that up... Then melissa said they had to put 13 gallons of gas in the car... FALSE!!! How does a small business run out of the Ramada Hotel make so many mistakes ... honest or dishonest mistakes. So after going over this situation with Melissa for a good 10 min. she said hold on let me check further and comes back on the line to tell me that she oh there was a mistake a gallon of gas was missing. but the car gets 20 miles to the gallon... so I filled it up 4 miles away.... She said for me to send her the receipt for the gas and she would investigate it. So this morning I sent her the receipt and she called me back to say they made a mistake and they put in 1.3 gallons of gas.. not 13 gallons.... well 1.3 gallons is still impossible since I was only 4 miles away when I FILLED the tank... Unbelievable. She did however said since they made mistakes and all that I went thru... they would remove the $117.00 charge all together. That was the right thing to do.. however it took up a lot of my time and so much stress to get this resolved... I rented from SIXT in los angeles and had a great experience... Kissimmee ruined their reputation for me and after going on line and looking at multiple negative reviews with SIXT... NEVER AGAIN would I use them. read more

SIXT charges a lot for gas fill up as high as $8 per gallon when it was charged $3.65 at gas station. Just want to alert travelers who want to rent a car and drop off at Fort Lauderdale. There seems hard to find a gas station to fill up the gas tank before you returned the car. I drove from Orlando to Fort Lauderdal and didn't bother to fill up the tank X'mas 2013. The premium gas price was at $3.65 /gal at the time. I figured it would somewhere in $20 range for the gas. I was charged $8 USD per gallon plus tax for this service by SIXT. It was well over $80 far more than I expected. Be prepare to arrive there early and fill up your gas tank before returning the rental car. read more

What a pleasant surprise. After arriving in Orlando and finding our resort property being quite a distance from the Disney World Parks, it was obvious we would need a vehicle simply to get around. With six of us a minivan was necessary. The major car rental agencies were priced close to $900 for a four day rental, and I happened to find Sixt Rent a Car online, checked their prices, and was thrilled at $390.00 for a four day rental. The online registration was a breeze, and when I arrived to pick up the van I was greeted by a delightful and helpful young lady. Within minutes I was on my way in a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country van. The return was equally easy, and since the rental desk in the hotel had already closed, it was just a matter of dropping the keys in their drop box. Apparently Sixt is a fairly new operation in the U.S.A., and I was very impressed with their service. read more

This is a terrible rip off place. You're better off renting a car at the airport. We waited for the shuttle to take us to Sixt the only reason I am giving this place one star is bc the shuttle driver was so nice, very personable and just a nice guy. We get to Sixt and my husband and I thought we would spend 350 like it said on the Internet when we reserved the car. Michelle a representative there helped us out said we needed mandatory insurance (never heard of this ever) which is 25 bucks a day. So up went out bill to 600 then she asked for a $1000 deposit. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE HEARD OF A $1000 DEPOSIT!!! That's just absurd!! She kept saying how it's company policy. Very robot like not personable and she did absolutely nothing to help us out. We took the shuttle back to the airport, went to Alamo. The lady that helped us he name is Bouchara she was such a nice lady! Very helpful. We told her about the nightmare at Sixt she gave us an amazing deal 250 bucks, and gave us the option of car insurance and no deposit like every other normal car rental place does and upgraded our car from economy to compact bc of our nightmare story and bc we are newly weds! First, and that's the least of the problems, the similar cars are not similar. And there is a huge chance that you might get what you don't want. In Europe and in US, same disappointment. Second, read the small lines, because under the line "unlimited miles" you have a limitation of places that you can go, and those places are in small letters. Third, the staff. After a very cold reception, complains and several phones calls to the central, I received a very rude call from the manager saying that she heard my complains over the reception but for some reason decided to "spy" the conversation hidden behind a door. In fact she just call because I made a complain directly to the call center and they probably sent the situation back to her. I ended up not having my money back (not even 1% back) and staying with a car for 7 days without having the possibility to drive it to where I wanted, fully paid. PRICES ARE NOT CHIP, and when they have discounts, read the contract carefully: there is always something hidden on their favor. Terrible experience in every single step of the process. read more

Was sent here from lake Buena Vista Location to exchange a dirty car they gave me when I arrived at this location (they were informed 45mins earlier) the car was not ready. Took 1 hour to put gas and valet it. Staff were not apologetic or courteous. Wont be renting from here again. Would not recommend. Have had much more pleasant experiences with Dollar. read more
