After I brought it back, they inspected the vehicle, told me everything was fine, and said I would only be charged a late fee because I was about three hours late--not an additional full day's rental. The next day, they completely changed their story. They charged me for an extra full day of rental anyway and claimed the car still smelled like smoke. That directly contradicted what they told me after inspecting it. It feels like they were just looking for a reason to charge me more. I paid for a professional detail to address their concern, relied on what they told me, and then they went back on their word. Very disappointing experience, and I would not rent from this location again.

They said, we will be right here, when you are ready. No rush at all. Which we both loved! After scoping out the place, we approached one of the employees and wanted to see the Prius. The car itself looked very nice and clean. From inside and outside. We moved to the next car and got the same feeling. Unfortunately, prices were a tad expensive. Lot was a decent standard size. Could fit about at least 20-25 cars..easy. The employees were not pushy nor were they forceful to rent us a car. The waiting area looked nice and very clean and so did the lot. We told them we will think a bit more, and will definitely come back to this location. I hope my 5 star review will make a BIG difference next to all the other 1 star negative, bad reviews! They showed us a few cars that didn't meet our expectations since 2 of them were Mazda CX50 intermediate SUV, and for 3 days $193.64 not counting the hidden fees such as tax, insurance and the rest. The other car that they showed us was a Hyundai Venue $160.00. Both cars were EXPENSIVE for our budget. The place from outside was not clean, was dusty and needed a good sweep & a wash with a hose. Inside on the other hand was pretty much clean. It's a very small lot that can fit up to 10 cars. Not a lot of cars to choose from except SUV's! So we took the chance/risk and stayed with my son's car and drove all the way to Santa Barbara and back.

I parked it at a secure covered garage the entire time. I drove the car back home and returned the vehicle back to Sixt. There is no way a scratch could appear on the roof considering we did not load any type of luggage onto the roof. This place is a total scam and was too good to be true. Who knows how many other people they have scammed. I was going to do another rental in 2 weeks and now they will no longer receive any further business from me or anyone I know, because I will be telling everybody about the shady company. I'd used less than 1/4 tank of gas. They understood, and I wasn't charged. The second car had something wrong with the trunk, but they were able to adjust it. It had a little less than a half tank of gas. I don't think the cars are thoroughly cleaned between rentals, but the staff does their best to deal with what they have. The staff deserves a 5 and the cars a 3, thus a 4-star rating.
