Exit Thru the Gift Shop! Sometimes they're good and sometimes not. Just so happens this one is well curated. We found some "stuff" and you will to.

The 6th Floor Museum, housed in the former Texas School Book Depository, provides a riveting journey through the events surrounding President Kennedy's assassination. I was so consumed I didn't take any pictures. Fun facts: 1. At the time, assassination of a president was not a federal offense; Oswald would have been tried in Texas. 2. The murder weapon was a 6.5 mm Italian carbine rifle that Oswald had bought for $19.95. 3. The famous pink Chanel suit Jackie Kennedy wore remains uncleaned, still splattered in JFK's blood, and is currently stored inside a climate-controlled vault in the National Archives. It will remain "out of public view" until at least 2103 per family wishes.

This is a MUST visit museum.. the staff here was nice. But the knowledge that you get from here through your journey is a value added personal experience. Even though you have the information to is to be beloved presented to you. There is still that other side of things that allow for you to think of it all in your own factorial way. When here definitely take the time to read and watch everything that is here. Be sure to visit all floors open during Your visit. Including outside on the Grassy Knoll. There is a small gift shop located on the 1st floor as the end to the tour adventure. But there is a cafe/shop across the street as well that you may want to peek into. Knowing what history has been filling our eyes and ears with, this is one of the best opportunities to get YOUR understanding of what you think things may have went across.

Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. History is important to remember. Good exhibits. Can get very crowded. Get your ticket online in advance.

Incredible part of history here in Dallas. There is a lot of background information you miss when you learn about it in school. Take the time to go on both floors. There are lots of video archive as well.

We had a similar experience to that of other reviewers. Rude lady behind the gift shop counter didn't want to let a worker give my mom, an elderly lady with a cane, the code to use a building restroom. After we just walked all the way to this place and up the not handicapped accessible stairs. The woman said to the helpful employee, "Never again". What an annoying hassle and lack of customer service! The helpful employee gets the few stars from me... and a bit of advice. "Don't let her beat you down. Do the right thing. Every time." The cafe people are a bit better. It should be noted that I came back twice in two days for the Texas Praline ice cream. It's that good. Handmade ... Henry's. I wish I could get this back home. The gift shop has stuff to buy - related to JFK... and there's an informative video running (no sound) in the cafe to watch while you eat/drink. Update from a few minutes later... Left to go to the grassy knoll to take photos and then came back to where my mom was sitting in the cafe eating ice cream. That same annoying girl was standing guard at the door and yelled "no pictures! You can't take pictures in here!" I responded that I hadn't taken any pictures (had just that second entered through the door with the crime of wearing a camera around my neck), to which she said she was just letting me know. What kind of anti tourist crazy environment is this? Be friendly. Learn how to serve customers.

Worst chai latte ever. The lady messed up on my order and she remade my drink. But the cup was literally 75% ice, 25% shitty drink. I regret paying $5 for the worst chai of my life. Don't know about the museum but save your money and go elsewhere for coffee.

Decent coffee, but brewed like 1.5x too hot. Also... it's a gift shop, so the bar is honestly pretty low anyway.

Several years ago, I had my first muffuletta at a sandwich shop in Florida and I thought it was OK, but nothing special. I did not order one from Weinbergers the first several visits because of this and all the other choices we had. My wife and I finally decided to order one to split. The first bite that we took we just looked at each other wide eyed in amazement and said OMG. The reason I decided to write this review is because my wife just texted me and said she is craving a muffuletta. We will probably head there this weekend. We love this place!

Make sure you're prepared when you walk up to the counter-- I thought I was until the dude started rattling off "wet" or "dry" and the list of toppings. I threw up my hands and said "I'm an amateur, this is my first time here!" He slowed it down and walked me through ordering, lol. I went with the Italian beef, dry with the juice on the side. So yummy! I love that it came with a handful of crinkle chips as well. If I was local I'd eat here all the time! The inside is small with a handful of tables and a few extra outside. It was pretty packed on a Friday afternoon!

It truly feels like you've stepped into a legit Italian market. It's packed--in a good way--but be prepared to rub elbows while you shop. If you don't have social anxiety, it's all part of the experience. We met another couple there for sandwiches, and they absolutely delivered. I had the Italian beef, which was delicious--but definitely spicy. I even asked for light peppers and it still brought some heat. So fair warning: if you're sensitive to spice, you might want to pivot to something else. My wife has been missing New Orleans, so she went with the muffaletta. Let's just say it was a much cheaper solution than flying her to the Big Easy. No gumbo on the menu, but the sandwich hit the spot. After we ate, we did a little shopping and grabbed some fresh Italian ingredients imported straight from Italy--which is always a win in my book. Great food, great vibe, and a true Dallas institution. We'll definitely be back.

I rarely leave reviews , in fact, this may be my first one, but this experience was so negative…read morethat I feel compelled to share it. I ordered two sandwiches through the DoorDash app for pickup. The app clearly stated that the sandwiches came with chips and potato salad, which is why I chose that option instead of ordering a different special. When I arrived at the restaurant, I still had to wait in line before reaching the cashier. When I finally got to the counter, she handed me my sandwiches and then told me that I had ordered chips and potato salad but had not paid for them. I calmly explained that the app showed those items as included with the sandwich. Instead of resolving the situation professionally, she told me she needed to call the owner. She then had me step aside while she helped three other customers, leaving me waiting awkwardly off to the side. When the owner finally called her back, she spoke to him loudly (almost argumentatively) about me being there and "claiming" the sandwiches came with chips and potato salad. It was embarrassing because other customers could clearly hear what was happening. Ultimately, I was told the owner said the sandwiches did not come with those sides. At that point, I just took my sandwiches and left. The entire situation felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. If there was a mix-up with the app, that isn't the customer's fault. Good customer service would have been to honor what was displayed in the app and clarify the issue internally afterward. Instead, I left feeling frustrated and embarrassed. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had.
