This is my first Cheba Hut experience and let me tell you, it was one of the best. First, shout out to the guy at the counter for making me feel so welcome. Two, the sandwiches are next level! Some have cream cheese on them, and you can even go next level with Jalapeño cream cheese. Also, if you weren't overwhelmed but their regular menu, then you can ask about the secret stash menu!! Yup! Secret menu alert!! And yes I ordered off of it. I got the OG Sweeper, which of course had cream cheese on it. It was superb. The shake sauce is EVERYTHING! Everything here was amazing! The vibes are chill and there's a full on bar attached. This place would crush it in NY, so I'll manifest them coming, hopefully soon. read more

Ordered the chicken/bacon/ranch sub on the garlic herb bread. This was a solid sub and I appreciated the warm sandwich and unique seasoning on top of it. Pretty pricey for an 8" inch sub and drink in my opinion but I don't see myself eating here all the time where that's an issue. On a night out in Deep Ellum, I can see this being a good food choice! read more

The subs here are unique & full of flavor. I've gone back twice for the AK-47 because the Au Jus here is so gooood. You gotta get a cookie if you're there when they are fresh, they have a little crisp to them when they're still fresh. This place also has a bar and plenty of seating inside. Finding free parking is tricky but that's for every restaurant in Deep Ellum. It is right next to a paid parking lot and has some street parking in front. read more

I stood at the order counter for about 15 minutes without any acknowledgment. The employees making sandwiches and the bartender clearly saw me standing there, yet no one offered a simple "we'll be right with you." Eventually, one of the sandwich makers yelled that if I was ready to order, I needed to go to the bar. This was my first--and last--visit. The sandwich itself was good, but the rude and dismissive service completely overshadowed it. The staffers seem to have some biases against certain customers and I would not feel comfortable going back. read more

Whyyyy am I just finding out about these delicious, flavor-filled sandwiches?! One Saturday night, we were just a little hungry and didn't feel like going anywhere. I found Cheba Hut while searching online. I ordered the G-13 (turkey and roast beef) on their signaturegarlic herb bread. My husband got the Sensi Kush (blt). Both sandwiches were VERY GOOD! I switched out the Chipotle mayo for regular mayo and added mustard. The combination of everything came together to be one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Same for hubby's blt..it was the best blt he's ever had. I think their house dressing is one of the main things that make the sandwiches so good. First of all this place is filthy!!! Every empty seating area was gross barely cleaned. We were asking the guy about the subs and he didn't even know the answer!! He didn't even know what comes in then! He didn't even know the names of them! Lol like what?? Anyways we decided to just take it to go. We got the 12 inches for both of us and man that was so gross! Bread was literally undercooked! Barely any meat inside and the meat that was there seemed very old it's like it's been warmed up so many times it had hard edges! They forgot to put any cheese as well. Tried this place with the fambam and in-laws from Cali after a volleyball tournament; one word... AMAZING!!! I (as well as my entire family) recommend this place! To be fair, the manager on staff handled our complaint regarding Jake professionally and with care, which we truly appreciated. However, the situation itself left a lasting negative impression. As professionals in the criminal law and medical fields, we value professionalism, discretion, and respectful communication. Being wrongly accused in that manner was disappointing and frankly humiliating. Because of this experience, we will not be returning anytime soon, despite what had otherwise been an enjoyable evening.

I instantly took the sun glasses off. He then continued to harass me on how he could not serve me with glasses on when they were clearly off. Even though we didn't have one, they were still able to accommodate our group which we really appreciated. The service was amazing...everyone was so polite, attentive, and fast. The drinks were delicious and the food came out surprisingly quickly as well. They also offer valet, but if it's packed, there's parking across the street too which was convenient. Do not pass up on the bone marrow sauce, it transforms the dish to beyond a 10/10! The salsas are always good and then tortilla chips salty and fresh. I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We also order the ceviche to start, which was yummy! The crackers were a bit of an odd pairing for me and I stuck with tortilla chips, but overall delicious!! My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and thought it was tasty too.
