The restaurant is in a cool spot, but parking is difficult, you will have to pay to park to eat here. This is my first Cheba Hut experience and let me tell you, it was one of the best. First, shout out to the guy at the counter for making me feel so welcome. Two, the sandwiches are next level! Some have cream cheese on them, and you can even go next level with Jalapeño cream cheese. Also, if you weren't overwhelmed but their regular menu, then you can ask about the secret stash menu!! Yup! Secret menu alert!! And yes I ordered off of it. I got the OG Sweeper, which of course had cream cheese on it. It was superb. The shake sauce is EVERYTHING! Everything here was amazing! We finally stopped in for a 5-0 sandwich, some chips and fruit punch Kool-Aid. It was a homerun. The signature garlic herb bread was the icing on the cake for this magnificent sandwich. It was loaded with smoked ham, genoa salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, bacon, giardiniera pepper, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake & House dressing. So delicious. Pretty pricey for an 8" inch sub and drink in my opinion but I don't see myself eating here all the time where that's an issue. The subs here are unique & full of flavor. I've gone back twice for the AK-47 because the Au Jus here is so gooood. You gotta get a cookie if you're there when they are fresh, they have a little crisp to them when they're still fresh. This place also has a bar and plenty of seating inside. Finding free parking is tricky but that's for every restaurant in Deep Ellum. It is right next to a paid parking lot and has some street parking in front. read more
