Sam the barista is amazing! He is so friendly! Especially at 7:45 am in the morning! There are plenty of table and seating available. The cafe is located with the DTS campus, but open to the public. Plenty of parking available in the adjacent lot. We parked in the visitor spots and didn't have any issues! read more

I was in the area, and wanted to explore new coffee shops that I haven't been to. I found Hope Coffee and decided to check it out. It took me a few detours before I found the place; it's nudged tightly around a corner of some buildings on the DTS campus. There was a generous amount of parking spots at the front, so that wasn't a problem! I ordered a normal latte and it was good! The girl who served me was really friendly and inviting. There is a ton of seating and work spaces inside the shop. I saw plenty of people studying or doing work on their laptops there. There were also some tables outside that I saw. A quaint and very peaceful spot! The business supports a great cause, and would recommend a visit if you're in the area. read more

Today is our first visit to the new building for Hope Coffee at DTS. Beautiful interior with plenty of comfortable seats and large tables. The coffee is great as usual. Normally my husband and I go to the Sunnyvale location. There is a Christian Library and book store on the premises. There is nice Christian music playing that isn't too loud so you are able to concentrate if you need to work, study, or read. There are a small selection of snacks offered at the coffee bar for purchase. The staff is kind. The only downside is their very early closing time, however, you are able to stay after they close to keep studying and hanging out. read more

I love finding new places to work and study. It's a great feeling to feel motivated and accomplished, and Hope Coffee did it for me! The staff there was sweet, though maybe a bit understaffed. There was only one person working when I went after lunch. The only downside for me was finding exactly where it was. I parked on the thrift shop or something across the street because I was unsure where the actual shop was and asked a pedestrian. Once he pointed it out, I laughed at my scrubby self... The parking lot is HUGE but the shop is tucked in a little deeper. The coffee was good - it was my first time getting a blended mocha latte and I liked it! You don't have to be a DTS student to come to this coffee shop. It is right on the edge of campus and next to a fantastic bookstore that is located at an old church. There's plenty of areas to study or just hang out. There's three different rooms and each one has its own advantages. Tables in one and couches and tables in the other two. The coffee was great and we enjoyed relaxing there with some friends. I got there early and spent about an hour studying and never felt like I needed to rush. There were plenty of seats for people to meet and hang out. read more

My go-to coffeeshop for a place to meet up with a friend, read a book, study AND I know my money is going to a trustworthy cause. The baristas are friendly, and even remembered my name after a few visits. Prices are actually reasonable, and they play good music (not too loud where you can't hear your own thoughts, not too soft where it gets awkward.) They have self-serve coffee that you can get with your own mug, too. Try the peppermint mocha around Holiday season, or a chai tea latte with a shot of espresso. Only con I noticed is the drinks aren't made very hot, so make sure to request it extra hot if that's important to you. Also, closes early, so it's not for the late-nighter. read more

A wonderful restart to the Dallas Seminary on-campus coffee shop! They've hired some experienced baristas who are also students at DTS. Coffee is direct trade profiting a Non-Profit organization in Honduras. (And it's the best price around!) Lobby is clean, cozy, and with plenty if seating, both tables and couches. read more

This is my new favorite coffee shop!! The coffee is flavorful and not bitter like so many. Plus they offer almond, coconut and soy milk AND they have raw honey, cinnamon and cane sugar to add to drinks. Their muffins are so delicious and spongey. So gooood A+ read more

A very good local coffee shop that transcends the nearby Starbucks leaps and bounds. The staff is friendly, and Faith based, because it is at Dallas Theological Seminary. It's a bonus that they are right next door to the great Bookcenter. You can choose added flavors, and they can work with you for special requests. The draw back is the short hours. When we were there on a Friday, it closed at 5pm. It would be a great place to visit in the evening. read more

Hope is a Hidden Gem in the Lakewood area, my first visit was Monday and I really enjoyed my time there. My barista, Kay, whipped up a very yummy coconut and almond milk concoction that I enjoyed. The atmosphere is very quiet, perfect for getting some work done. The proceeds benefit a nonprofit in Honduras where their original coffee shop is located. Hope Coffee is a tasty alternative to the more popular and expensive coffee chains. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. A friend and I were grabbing an afternoon coffee last week and when her order wasn't made correctly she was given a fully punched card for a free coffee and an apology.
