    Spicy Miso Ramen

I've dropped by here twice for Ramen while in the area and they haven't disappointed. I think the servers are also the owners as well as they seem to be doing many roles but everything seems to be running smoothly. It's never too crowded so you'll get seated quickly and before you know it your food is already heading out to you. The service is very fast! They offer a very broad menu with items spanning from Ramen, Bento boxes, Lo Mein, Fried rice and even rolled ice cream. Everything looks super tasty! I tend to stick to the spicy ramen. It's very flavorful but does come with a little kick of spice, which I like. If I'm really hungry I'll be able to finish a whole bowl. The prices seem reasonable as well. I would recommend in you're in the area.

This was the "noodle" dish. Please find one for me!

We were excited to try take out from here. First off, my credit card had a glitch of which I was not informed so the 5 dollar coupon was not used when my husband picked it up and had to use his credit card. I called and they gladly took off the 5 dollar tip that was added. Fine. The hot and sour soup was very good. Egg rolls were okay. We ordered 2 sizzle entrees. One with white rice and the other with noodles. They both looked like brown/ fried rice and not a noodle in sight. I called back and they said that was IMPOSSIBLE. I did take pictures. Our entrees look much different than the pictures on the site and have hardly any taste/sauce. Very disappointed as we love local places.

Great food, reasonable price, good service and clean place. Will go back to try other dishes.

Sizzle It is an Asian bistro located in a strip mall in Novi. As a reference point, there is an El Mariachi Mexican restaurant a few doors down within the same mall. The interior of the restaurant is a complete surprise. While the strip mall is rather worn, the restaurant looks brand new with lovely tiled floors, beautifully accented walls, and attractive lighting. I always notice the lighting. I was picking up my to-go order but noted the white leather booths for dine-in. I had ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and the Ribeye Steak Sizzle. The ramen was filled with sliced pork, tofu, and soft-boiled eggs. With all the ramen I've had this year, I can confidently say that this restaurant is most generous with their ramen toppings. The pork broth was flavorful but spicier for me than I would have liked. The Ribeye Steak Sizzle was incredible. The steak was tender and the rice was nutty and savory. I ordered it with roasted corn, egg, and broccoli served in a Teriyaki sauce. This is such a great combination that I plan to reorder it when I return. My order was waiting for me when I reached the restaurant so I was in and out in a few minutes.

Sliced Lamb Sizzle It with Egg, Broccoli, Cheese, and Spicy Mayo

I ordered the Sizzle It bowl with lamb and added broccoli, egg, cheese, and spicy mayo. The Sizzle It bowl is partly like Korean dolsot bibimbap (bibimbap in a hot stone bowl), but not quite. In take-out form, it looks and tastes more like Chinese fried rice. The service was friendly and my dish was ready in less than ten minutes. My bowl did not look appetizing when I first opened it because the spicy mayo and cheese covered the meat, vegetables, and rice below it. Once I stirred everything together it started to look like a normal bowl of fried rice. This place does make good fried rice, probably one of the best I've tried at a restaurant in this area so far. I liked the taste of the lamb and there were good chunks of meat throughout the dish. The broccoli had a good stir fry taste. Although I appreciate that Sizzle It offers delicious Asian comfort food, my Sizzle It bowl was $15.85, a bit overpriced for fried rice.

I enjoyed the decorative LED lights (could use even more!), pop music, and generous pork portion in the ramen. More of a grab, go, and chow down experience than dining out.

It's an interesting decor. Modern chandeliers, acrylic wavy walls. Potentially 12 or so separate tables and 5 booths. Not a big place, but sufficient enough for big and small groups. The male waiter here is super friendly, attentive and quite amiable. Has a ready smile for anyone. I ordered the chicken sizzle it and the seafood sizzle it less shrimp. I added cooked egg, bean sprout, broccoli, mushrooms and spinach with the Sichuan sauce on top and a side of gogujang sauce too. All of the ads ons are $75. Seems crazy to charge the same $.75 for sesame seeds as the other veggies and eggs to me, but whatever. Let's see if this place is any good, hope it meets the overall 4 star grade at least. They were out of paper towel for the bathroom, argh. It's essentially as the waiter explained, it's a make your own fried rice at the table. The salmon and scallops is good, needed a bit more flavor, accomplished with the gochujang since the Sichuan sauce is okay but not so spicy or flavorful enough. I love the wide sized skillet pan. Wish I had one for the house or two. I like the skillet concept for sure. I think I would like to see some better suave options, the Sichuan sauce needs a bit of work yet. The rolled ice cream is rather loud and raucous for dinner background and ambiance. The rice quality is sub-par, it's that cheap white rice found at all Chinese restaurants. The jasmine, Korean short or long grain rice would be much better for these skillet dishes. $36.52 for two main entree meals with all of my add ons, not bad.

Pan fried gyoza (comes with 8 pieces, 2 are missing here because they were delicious and we couldn't wait)

    Do they have good ramen?

Decent. I don't usually get ramen so Johnny Noodle King in Detroit is my bar. But the first time I went I got spicy ramen and it was good. My go-to every time now is the bento box 🤤

Their sign is easy to see as you drive by, but my friend did give me a heads up that their door was not obvious. You need to walk through a fence and then open a non deacript door. The artwork outside is awesome! When we walked in we received a friendly greeting and were quickly shown to our seats. We had made a reservation ahead of time and there was no delay to seat us upon our arrival. Our server was friendly and took our drink orders right away. I appreciated that they had multiple non alcoholic drinks and at a fair price. I started with the Thai Iced tea which was delicious, but I would have loved a glass 2x the size! We ordered multiple dishes to share amongst us. I did ask the server how many dishes they recommended that we order as I wasn't sure of the size. The items are brought out as they are made, so we had food being dropped off to is at random intervals. The only slight issue we experienced was when someone else tried to bring a plate of squid to our table. We let them know that we had not ordered it. They then went and talked to our server, who brought the squid back to our table. We also let them know that we had not ordered that dish. Our server did bring back our order slip and looked it over, and I believe at that point they realized that we really had not ordered that dish and just weren't rejecting it. I am not sure if it had been written wrong, communicated to the kitchen wrong, or what but we did have to state multiple times that we had not ordered it. The rest of our dishes arrived correctly. The crispy chive cakes were great, and the sticky spare ribs were AMAZING. The caramel glaze on the outside of the ribs was so good, and they were tender as well. The outside was super crispy. I would absolutely ordered these again. I would say that both of those dishes were only for 2 people. The sticky rice and jasmine rice were as to be expected, and I personally felt that the papaya salad was not as good as others I have had. The chilli noodles had an amazing broth and I would also recommend. Overall, I did enjoy our dinner but I am not sure that I would go out of my way to return. I am rounding up to 4 stars based on the sticly ribs alone, otherwise a 3.5 would be more fair. I have been hearing about Takoi for years, so maybe my epxections were too high but I was expecting a bit more.

Trash Food, Trash Service - Stay Away…read more Another so-called "highly rated" Asian restaurant serving up straight garbage. Let me save you the mistake I made. The food? Disgusting. The service? Even worse. I called to report the awful meal I received, and instead of any kind of accountability, the woman I spoke to told me it was my problem. No apology, no solution just pure attitude and blame-shifting. Classy. Let's talk about the food: * Sweet and Sour Chicken: A soggy, inedible mess. The chicken was drowning in sauce, so saturated the breading slid off like wet paper. Ever had meat slide out of mush? Now I have. Absolutely vile. * Crab Rangoon: Not crispy. Not even close. Rubbery, stale, and lazy. Like someone microwaved it and hoped no one would notice. * Egg Roll: Same story rubbery Zero crunch. Zero flavor. Zero effort. * Wonton Soup: Greasy, flavorless broth with gummy, overcooked wontons that tasted like they'd been soaking in hot water for hours. You'd get more taste chewing a napkin. I live less than two miles away, so don't even try to blame the drive. If your food can't survive a 5-minute trip, you shouldn't be in the takeout business. And when I asked to return the meal? I was told to "throw it in the trash" because they weren't offering a refund or credit. The only honest thing they said all night because that's exactly where this food belongs. Do yourself a favor skip this place. The food is trash. The service is trash. The entire experience was a waste of time, money, and appetite. They clearly don't care about quality or customers. Shameful.
