We haven't been to a Sizzler for lunch for many moons so I don't know if the menu at Blythe is unique. The two stars mostly is due to the cashier trying to charge for mushrooms on the tri-tip steak when the printed menu included them and then when we said no to the charge, no mushrooms, onions nor sauce came with the meal. Senior meals come now with a salad plate or, for $0.99, one trip to the salad bar. The salad plate was huge and consisted almost entirely of iceberg lettuce. Offerings in the salad bar have changed; there were several pre made salads, such as spinach and pasta and more Hispanic items. The desert was just vanilla soft ice cream wth chocolate sauce and a few topping. The first pour of ice cream was just that--mostly liquid, the next extrusion was better. The Italian herb chicken has replaced the long-time hibachi chicken. The new item was dominated by lemon. read more

After a 4 hr drive we stop here. Our server is a young girl... Pretty rude. Maybe a bad day. I asked for an extra fork n she heads to the cashier n they begin talking n looking in my direction. I decide to stare back. (Pretty awkward). Salad bar- flies pretty much hangin out everywhere... Selection wasn't what I've seen in other locations. Wife orders steak n shrimp skewers... All pretty good except steak was bad.. sour tasting... like... left outside all day... In Blythe weather. I brought this to server's attention... Her response... "O... Ok I'll let her know. This may be one of the best restaurants in Blythe-- ye gads! The meals are complete, and the portions are good. An all-you-can-eat soup and salad bar is available. The staff are friendly and reasonably attentive. The food is OK, and the prices are low, so the value is there. Calories are posted on the menus. And the dated TVs are turned on and tuned to various sporting events. If value is what's most important to you, this may very well be your next Blythe dining experience! Ye gads! read more

Mediocre & overly greasy food, meager salad bar and substandard service. We decided to try this location for a change of pace as we usually stop at the local Denny's on our trips to California. I had the Steak & AYCE Shrimp and my Wifey had the salad bar. The shrimp was very greasy, baked potato was OK, steak could've been varmint (not sure). Our server I suspect may have had one too many energy drinks as she would zip by in her idea of checking on us and not even wait for a response. I literally had to stop her for additional shrimp orders and drink refills to which she seemed a bit peeved (she wasn't very pleasant to begin with). The salad bar didn't have much variety and also didn't appear to be as fresh as it could've been. Afterward I did get a tummy ache and serious bowel movement (ugh). While Traveling to California from AZ we stopped here for lunch. My husband and I had the salad bar which was stocked with plenty of fresh, nutritious choices. We were very pleased. Great family place!! Good prices. Great food. Our server Linda was fantastic!!! She was great with the 3 children we had with us after coming back from Disney. The kids even had to leave her a tip as well (a mickey mouse sticker). The family next to us also from Tucson had a great time with her and left her a mickey mouse lollypop along with a generous tip! I liked here my wife thought her steak was too dry, oh well. On the plus side for me, I loved the taco bar and salad bar. The service was fast and friendly. All and all a nice place minus the rubbery steak. If I was ever driving though here again I would be back and I would have my wife get a shrimp platter or something else besides the steak. read more

Thoroughly Impressed I had never eaten at a Sizzler prior to last month, though I vividly recall Jay Leno running the place into the ground over its mediocrity and general blandness throughout the late '90s. My wife and I were moving from California to Georgia and stopped for the night in Blythe. She had also never been to a Sizzler, so we went to dinner before checking in at the hotel. I ate one of the best sandwiches I've ever had (something with 'Monterey' in the name) and she ordered a steak with optional salad bar excursions. While she said that her steak was only so-so, she later commented that she could, "live at that salad bar." Thankfully, she didn't take up residence there. This particular Sizzler was clean, well-staffed for the hour (evening) and a much-needed break from the monotony of cross-country driving. I don't know if all others are comparable to this one, but I will definitely check it out. The Blythe Sizzler gets the green light from me. read more

Blythe is a little farming town that is at a half-way point between big towns in Los Angeles, and big towns in Arizona, like Phoenix, AZ. Or if you're on the way to see the Grand Canyon from the West Coast, and you're taking a road trip, BLYTHE is on your way. Please give SIZZLER your business! My husband and I are on our way home from seeing the Grand Canyon, and we had to make a final rest stop before we made the final leg home. We were tired and hungry, and the SIZZLER attracted my attention because it looked clean, new and fresh. We walked in, and were greeted by the workers there and festive Halloween lights and decorations. (I love to see that stuff!) I bee-lined over to the salad bar, which held lots of fresh veggies, a beautiful crab salad with huge chunks of crab pieces, a taco bar with carnitas meat and regular taco hamburger meat and deep fried chicken pieces. I spied the clam chowder; it looked thick with clams! My husband could not resist! He ordered the unlimited salad bar, while I ordered the 8 oz tri-tip steak. I wanted it medium rare, and when our fast-moving waitress, Rickelle brought the steak to me, it was perfect. PERFECT! Hot, juicy, flavorful and medium rare - as per my specifications. I also got the baked potato with only butter, and it too was delicious and tasted heavenly!!! I got one trip to the salad bar, and made my lettuce and other fixins salad - but I also spooned a bit of their wonderful banana pudding onto my salad plate - which tasted fabulous! Rickelle asked if we wanted garlic/cheese bread and I'm glad that I requested it - it was crispy on the outside, but soft in the inside - very tasty and delicious! My meal was the best meal that I've ever eaten at any SIZZLER Restaurant, and the salad bar was being wiped clean by 2 men who kept replenishing the salad fixings and soups. It was almost 7:00pm in the evening, but the salad bar was being restocked as if it was the middle of dinner rush. The quality at this SIZZLER is top-notch, and second to none! Please give them your business. There were lots of waitresses who were eager and happy to serve the hungry patrons, and all of them were friendly, polite and super fast with service. I felt so happy that we chose to eat at SIZZLER in Blythe. These hard-working people show such tremendous pride in their city and in their work. They have a work ethic like none other. Where did all the sizzlers in Vegas go? I miss them. I know what you're thinking.. Sizzlers is a chain, they're cheap, there are better steakhouses around, you need to go out more often, blah blah blah. Sizzlers and I go waaaay back, first date, first beer, (legally) first proposal,(the answer was no) first fight and first Heimlich maneuver so every time I run into one, I have to stop and relive good old times. Great steaks and seafood and all you can eat salads is as good as ever. I had a great time at this sizzlers in Blythe, I had the steak and lobster with the salad and baked potato which was wonderful! I had always liked sizzler in the past. Every year at Christmas we go on a long road trip and overnight in Blythe. This Sizzler had kind of become a tradition. Last year while passing through we were told they were out of baked potatoes. What? You're a steakhouse right??? OK fine... We gave them another chance last week. We tried to order the Rib Eye steak and were told they were out. So, we asked about the bacon wrapped medallions. The lady at the counter did a nice job of explaining what these were. That sounds good we said and told her that's what we wanted. She then told us they were out. WHAT? You make the dish sound delicious and wait until we decide on this to tell us you are out? We were told the only cut left was Tri-tip. You are a steak house right??? So my family ordered the Tri-tip and Jumbo fried shrimp. The steak was so tough that cutting it with a steak knife was a chore. The shrimp had so much breading that I could not taste the shrimp inside. I did speak with the manager and expressed my frustration that this Sizzler seems to be out of something every time we visit. It is their job to manage inventory. She apologized but gave us no incentive to return despite their error and miserable experience. In the end we all left wit our plates half full. Terrible overall experience. As a former resident of Blythe, ca I wasn't a big fan of the Sizzler , hubby and I were visiting friends and they wanted to take us to dinner and Sizzler was the place. It's been remodeled and to my surprise the salad bar was very nice. Everything was fresh and very good. I even got to see my friend Ginnie who's a waitress there. Very good service as usual. We were passing through on a long trip and trying to avoid fast food. I hate to say this but it was literally one of the worst places I've ever eaten. I worked in Blythe from 2003-2006. I would go to the sizzler out there once a month or so. The guy who owns/manages the place is a real nice guy. They would give me 1/2 off every time I was in there if I was in uniform. That was awesome of them and they didn't have to do that. Actually NEGATIVE STARS. we went here tonight for my dad's birthday and I had my service dog with me. We ordered a hamburger party for her and told the cashier it was for my dog. I cut it up and put it on the floor under the table for my dog to eat. She was not making any noise or being disruptive. The waitress Ginnie came over and instead of being quiet and professional she made a HUGE SCENE about my dog eating in the restaurant. It disrupted the entire atmosphere. My husband told her that we have taken her to many places and have never had a problem. She processed to tell us that it's the law they can't eat in a restaurant. And started arguing with my husband. However the law states "they are not required to allow, but do allow" she processed that they have looked into the law and that we can't feed the dog. This is Complete Discrimination and Harassment especially I deal with high anxiety and depression. I had to take medication due to this harassment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all. Their professionalism is so POOR!!!!!!! I will be writing get to the corporate office about this as well. read more

After Phoenix, AZ trip (Sunday, August 27, 2017), we found this Sizzler for lunch on way back home, LA. I ordered triple shrimp adding salad bar, BBQ Samoan, and another salad bar, same as our normally eating amount and without taking food home for long and hot driving. We were very hungry at that time. During waiting for main dishes, which took 20 minutes to be served, we had salad first and shared with my young daughter and my husband. However, A LADY came shouting us "No sharing!!!" @!@ #?# The entire lunch was so No TASTE! We were so supervised that Sizzler has NO SHARING POLICY! We will tell all around, Sizzler has NO SHARING POLICY! PS: this Sizzler staffs are very active for making their fun! Quick stop in Blythe for dinner...not too much to choose from on the healthy side. But....at least Sizzler had a few more healthy options than the other mostly fast-food places. Hub had hibachi chicken, broccoli and salad bar. I just had salad bar and the 11-yr old of course gets a burger...we were able to order the 1/3lb burger from the kids menu (under 10 yrs) since there's no way she could handle a 1/2 pounder! Ridiculous! Salad bar was ok...spinach looked a little worn. Most of the other "fresh" veggies were in good shape. Passed on the pasta, potato salads and caned fruit. Blythe, CA Sizzler Restaurant. My wife and I were staying overnight in Blythe on our way to Prescott Valley AZ and the Sizzler was within walking distance of our motel. We decided to walk down for dinner on a Monday evening. The restaurant was pretty full when we arrived but the line moved quickly and the person taking orders was very efficient and pleasant, we asked about a military discount and they were happy to give us a discount. The salad bar area is pretty small but the selections were very good and everything was really fresh and constantly restocked, the pasta bar needed restocked and the taco bar looked well stocked and very inviting. The staff was very quick in bringing clean plates when needed and brought our food pretty fast. This was the best run staff I have seen in many years of going to Sizzler. My wife asked for her steak to be rare/medium rare knowing it would be overcooked to medium, to her surprise her steak came out cooked perfectly. Before we had finished the large trailer clubs had finished and left and the facility calmed down. Gennie came around to talk to the customers and make sure everyone was happy. We started talking to Gennie and she indicated the franchise changed owners in Dec. and the new owner was working hard to improve the facility and service, she indicated the place was going to shut down for a week in April for a remodel/update. Currently the place is a bit tired and outdated so this should make for a great place to come in the dessert to eat. It has a separate large parking lot for trucks and trailers which is a huge plus. I have read several bad reviews about this Sizzler but I believe they were before the change of ownership as the servers and the food were excellent for Sizzler. read more
