I drive to/from Arizona frequently, and I used to stop at the golden arches in Banning and Blythe because they have diet Dr. Pepper. After one too many $14-$15 meals with a microwaved, smashed burger & one lonely pickle chip, and coffee that was usually stale and burnt, I stopped buying these items and just purchased a diet Dr. Pepper on my visits. Driving home from Arizona about 3 months ago, I stopped in Blythe for a diet Dr. Pepper. I was hungry, but I figured the soda would suffice. Something finally clicked, and I couldn't make myself drive into the golden arches parking lot. Carl's Jr. is directly across the street, and that's where I landed. What a fantastic difference! I was happily surprised that Carl's Jr. has diet Dr. Pepper, on that point alone I'm a committed customer. No microwaves in sight, no smashed buns, no lonely pickle chips - Carl's Jr. food is freshly prepared and tastes good. I think prices are comparable to the golden arches, but the food is far superior and definitely a value for the dollars I spend. Bonus - the coffee is excellent - always fresh, and a good strength. I've visited 5 times in the past 3 months, and I've ordered food each time: either a Famous Star with cheese, a Spicy Chicken Sandwich, or Chicken Stars, with medium fries. Each meal was hot, delicious, and satisfying. The team works quickly and efficiently. They pay attention to each other, and to their customers. Even when it's crazy busy, someone is aware of every customer who walks through the front door. I don't mind waiting to place my order, because customers are always acknowledged promptly. I know someone will take my order at the counter as soon as they can. I've never had to stand there hoping an employee will walk by or glance at the counter to see if any customers are waiting for help. If you're stopping in Blythe for a snack or meal, I recommend you visit Carl's Jr. You won't be disappointed. read more

Let me start by sharing that I absolutely love Carl's Junior. Growing up, the only burger my father would eat was the Carl's Junior Famous Star burger. I love Carl's Junior, this Blythe location could be much better, they just refuse to do so. In highschool and college I worked at Carl's Junior to pay for my school and books. It is quite unfortunate that I show up, ask for a Third pound burger (fresh off the grill) and get a luke-warm, sweaty, greasy, and non-charbroiled meat patty. In the practice of common decency, I typically do not send any food back. We never know who is working the back grill, I worked at Carl's Junior many moons ago and never saw anything myself, but I heard plenty of stories of workers at other burger joints messing with peoples food. Carl's Junior doesn't do that, Carl's is a cut above the rest. At Carl's Junior, the customers love and enjoy the food. Well, that wasn't my experience today at 2:27pm at the Blythe location. I spent $14.33 for a Third pound burger meal, the cost is fine, my company pays for my meals, anyway. What was not okay was the sub-par preparation of my char-broiled burger. My burger was a luke warm, sweaty, greasy, un-charbroiled burger patty. I ate half my burger and tossed the rest. Disappointed, I patiently sat in the restaurant dining area for nearly an hour closely observing the movements of the kitchen and cashiers, based on my training and experience this Carl's Junior location in Blythe has gone rogue. Carls jr has usually been my go to spot whenever i want to grab some of their snacks after work usually before 2am, But for some reason their system always happens to be down around that time only when the big women of color is working there (have been told multiple times on different occasions), she seems very passive aggresive and when i drive past the window she is never even doing anything. Was on a road trip 9 weeks ago on our way back home to Atlanta. We came here to eat lunch after finding out that a neighboring fast food restaurant closed its indoor dining area to customers. Carl's Jr has its own free parking lot, and there were lots of available spaces. We walked in and got into a short line of customers. Only one employee was at the registers, but she did a great job taking customers' orders in a very quick and efficient manner. I ordered a Famous Star with cheese combo meal, and R ordered a hand-breaded chicken sandwich. The sodas are self serve our of their dispenser, so I filled up there, and we looked for a table. A clean table. Any clean table. And we found just three clean tables that weren't occupied. We waited only a short time before our number was called, and I picked up our food at the order counter. R said that his chicken sandwich was good. My burger tasted good, but it was already messy when I was just unwrapping it. My Famous Star looked like a ketchup bomb exploded all over everything. In spite of how much ketchup it looked like there was on the burger, the taste was not overwhelmed at all by the ketchup. I love the charbroiled taste of the burger, and the amount of onions that the employees put on the burger perfects the overall flavor. The burger was so good! We chose Carl's, the clerk was very polite and helpful, she even gave me great advice for where to take my dog for a potty break nearby. The food was pretty good considering it is fast food. I have had terrible drive through experiences with careless employees. The food is usually good if they remember it all. I've been the only person in the drive through lane on multiple occasions for over 10 minutes and they'll have me move forward and not get me my food for a long long time. They are probably trying to get their "efficiency" up by making it seem like they're moving customers in their drive through quickly but in reality they move you up and after you're past their window you're an afterthought and they are no longer trying to rush and take their sweet time. I've tried to contact them but it's almost impossible to hear back in multiple contact methods on their websites. Would not recommend this Carls and these experiences make me reconsider not coming to another Carls ever again just because of the lack of accountability from the corporation and terrible ethics. read more

Firstly - friendly service! Just tried the beyond famous super star. This is the first time I've been back to Carl's Jr. in 7 years. The fries were good and cooked with skin on the potato - just how I like em! The double burger was great, fresh veggies with a generous amount of onion! Burger comes to $6.50 as a single and $9.50 as a double (without cheese). Get your vegan on at Carl's Jr.! Congratulations to this Carl's. I always knew that one day I would actually find the hell hole of a fast food restaurant and this was it. I have travelled from CA to WI, from WI to FL, AR, TX, OK, through some seriously back water areas, including somehow landing at a place in MO that people were told NOT to bring their guns into, because they didn't want to clean up a mess, ( different story there!) And you would think that a major corporate business like this, on a major freeway leading from CA to AZ would be somehow different, especially with covid running rampant. Seriously, the only reason I stopped was because I needed to use a restroom. However, I'm one of those types who truly believes in buying something if you are going to stop. Ok. Run into the bathroom. 1. Not one of the doors lock. NOT ONE. Most of them look like they have had the locks drilled out at least once. 2. If that bathroom had been cleaned in the last week, I would go back and eat off the floor. That's how sure I am that it hadn't. Yes, toilet paper, but nothing else had been touched. No covers for the toilet, and it needed one. I used toilet paper. 3. The smell when you flushed was like a thousand cat boxes regurgitating back up the pipe. There was a woman waiting for the stall behind me and she and I were both gagging. 4. Went to order food. No one behind the counter had any clue. It was a hot mess of fries scattered, sticky counter and bored employees. Ordered. Famous star, waffle fries, drink. When received the bag looked like it had been run over in the drive through and then replaced back in the pile. The drink was so watered down that I'm sure the carbonated water took one look at the pipe and just went in to die. Got into my car and left. The fries were so cold and soggy I'm sure they had been waiting for a day for a random person to request them. My burger was not hot, but at least it had a temperature that was above warm. I would give 0 stars if I could. We walked in today to get some food. The gentleman that walked in ahead of us (hispanic) did not have a mask on, and the workers in the back (hispanic) had their masks pulled down under their chins. The cashier (hispanic) took the guys order in front of us, without a mask, and then proceeded to tell us that we had to have masks to take our order. My husband said wait a minute, you're telling me that you will take this guys order with no mask, and your workers in the back don't have their masks on, and you won't take ours because we don't have a mask on? Note that we are caucasian. She said I won't take your order. So we walked out. I am ok wearing a mask if there is fair and equal treatment, but this was not ok. We stopped here on our long drive across I-10 just like most others do and after successfully merging back onto the highway there was no way I was turning back around. First of all, let's get through the lone high point. The chicken tenders that my sister got were amazing. Fresh, tasty, juicy - excellent all around. Driving through from Phoenix area to Bakersfield and stopped for dinner and a bathroom break. Something in the ladies room is dead. There were a couple stalls with toilet seat covers covered in poop stuffed in the corners. Does this place not get inspected?! We stopped to get breakfast on our trip to Arizona. We walked in, there was a cashier taking payment from another employee. After paying they both walked away, no acknowledgement of us being there. We then stood there for a good 2 minutes plus and no one said hi, we'll be right with you or anything. Employees looked at us several times and did NOTHING.
