Howdy yelpers. I'm trying to do better posting here. I often forget to. Apologies. Anyway, decided to drop by after a doctor appointment n both the proprietors, husband n wife Mike n Pam Arnold were there. That in itself is a bonus for u. We chatted a bit n back to work they went n I left to drive home. If you're downtown or looking for a nice atmosphere w great A/C (lol) stop on by, take a seat n not the food, service n ambiance. Prices are reasonable depending on your taste buds. They have an array of choices n specials to boot. Homemade desserts are yummy. You can meet Mike & Pam n tell em David sent us/me. lol.

Very kind folks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spacious area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food missed the mark. Meat came with sauce already on it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Server was very nice, open feel with sports on was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Smelled like they were cooking with propane which was a turn off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nacho Fries with Chk were good, but the brisket came out dry as if they cooked extra and it def did not just come off a smoker. It was like they tried to warm it up without covering to hold moisture.

Great food and customer service. Loved the BBQ especially the ribs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great furniture inside and theme.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing hospitality, food, and atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress was unbelievably kind & accommodating. We stopped through coming from Arkansas to Memphis airport & will make this stop in the future!

Best bbq we had on our trip through Memphis. We were looking for the best and hit all the famous and historic hot spots in Memphis. There were good restaurants but Arnold's was the best from vegetable sides to wings. They even have vegetarian items (fried okra, onion rings, fries, baked beans, green beans) and the flavors are each outstanding. I always ask to clarify recipes haven't changed to include egg/milk/any meat as best practice before ordering. The server wasn't able to clarify that anything was vegan but do ask the chef when they aren't busy to clarify/call ahead. They do a whiskey-beer batter on the onion rings that is great. Make this stop a point to visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even has some cool Memphis graffiti in the alley in front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No frills, just exceptional food and good service.

Very slow service with hardly anyone here on a game night (Grizzlies). A bit pricey for what you get. Won't rule out a second visit but it's not looking like a go to spot!

This restaurant was amazing. It was a bit hidden from the main street, but once near the place, it's impossible not to identify it. It also has a bug parking lot if you are going by car. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, it has a los of seats available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went around noon for lunch, and it had only one more customer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress was very friendly while taking our order. I ordered the BBQ beef brisket dinner with fries and a cole-slaw. The order took a long time to arrive, but it was worth the wait. The brisket was very tender. The flavor was amazing. The bun that we got was warm and has a nice butter flavor. Also, the beans tasted delicious! Excellent restaurant!!

Service was more than adequate Ambiance is not fancy, a little rustic with worn floors and exposed vent conduit tubes. No real music besides kitchen radio. :-) Lighting is a little dark for daytime. I got the chicken sandwich which was chopped chicken and sauce. It was very good! Chicken moist and just the right amount of BBQ sauce, fries were crispy and cooked just right. I'd come back.

This place is a hidden gem I stumbled across. The brisket sandwich was amazing, possibly the best baked beans I have ever had. The banana pudding was life changing.

I'm remiss in writing about one of the best rib meals ever from Arnolds in Memphis. We stopped there on our way home to the eastern part of the state from a vacation out West. While Arnolds may be a tad difficult to find at the back of a parking lot adjacent to an alley, it was well worth the search. Such mouthwatering fall-apart ribs with the tastiest bbq sauce, the smokiest baked beans and yummiest coleslaw. Add a friendly staff to boot! The inside is roomy and clean, and there is a small patio outside where you can dine when the weather is warm.

Roach fighting to get off it's back in the men's restroom.

I ordered wings and two dry slabs of ribs. When my family and I finally decided to eat the ribs on Monday, they were disgusting. They had seasoning caked all on them, and they were overly salty. We wiped off the caked-on seasoning and tried to eat around the saltiness. I was praying the 2nd slab was not the same. When I opened them on 5/27 to see, they were the same. I was trying to avoid calling because I just didn't feel like being bothered. But I called. I left a message for the manager to return my call that morning because "he is in the middle of an interview." So I called back that afternoon and was transferred to Ethan. I explained the situation to him. As I was speaking, he kept making the noise un-huh. So, I stopped talking and asked him what it meant aside from it just being rude as hell. He went on to explain that they missed a step and did not rub in the seasoning and shake it off. I don't care. It's an internal quality issue that should be handled with the prep and cook staff. Not me. He asked if I had my receipt and, in a tone that suggested he was doing me a favor, advised me that he would replace the slab. No apologies for the inconvenience or anything.   After my long workday, I went all the way downtown to get the slab replaced. In person, Ethan is just as rude. I asked if he was going to replace both slabs. He could clearly see the quality was trash. He said no and that he would only replace one. Then went on to offer me sides and a slice of cake. No, thank you. I can afford sides and cake just like I did those trash slabs of ribs. Those slabs of ribs cost $62.40 before taxes. With taxes probably being another 5 or 6 dollars. Your mistakes and poor quality should not cost me. He had a young lady bring the replacement slab back out to me. She didn't say thank you or anything. One thing I know is that a white man or woman patronizing your business would not have been treated this way. As a result, moving forward I will spend my Black woman dollars elsewhere on barbeque and smoked chicken wings. Also, I removed you all from my company's approved catering list where we spend a nice amount with you all yearly. Tell Ethan, thanks for helping me see the light and not spend money where I'm not respected and where my customer experience isn't valued.

Overall, the meal was good, although most of the dishes were fairly standard. The one standout was the gumbo--it was flavorful and definitely worth ordering. The shrimp plate was enjoyable but didn't particularly stand out. Overall, this is a solid option if you're looking for a convenient meal while exploring Beale Street.
