I ordered the Chicken over Basmati Rice.The rice is fragrant and steamy, and they are known for their sauce which packs good flavor. It compares well to a typical gyro plate around Houston, but was a bit scanty on the portion, especially the veg. As a lowkey carnivore, I couldn't believe I just uttered that line, but it's true. Absolutely disgusting. Just received through Uber Eats. Ordered combos over rice and it's un-eatable. Not only is the order wrong, cold, cheap in taste but it's covered in white sauce (They just use ranch and sprinkle some stuff in there to try and change it). Absolutely covered like they're pouring gravy. I Open the box it looks like it's filled to the brim with sauce and some food poking out through it. I ordered their falafel gyro due to a flyer i received, and I knew where the truck was located. There were 5 head of me which is a good indicator. I finally ordered the meal and it comes with a beverage so that's a plus. The person taking the order said it would take 10 minutes before it is ready and i welcomed it. Maybe 5 minutes in to the wait he makes a general announcement to all of us there that we may call ahead if we choose to expedite our orders on our next visits. Received my food, drove back to office and got ready to enjoy. By the way I'm only around the corner. The food was still hot and the gyro was delicious. Thank you for a pleasant experience. This truck is always right near my apartment or by the masjid I frequent for Juma prayers. They usually have nice specials for gyros and other plates. I've had the chance to try their beef and chicken over rice a couple of times and both times it was solid. The second time around, I asked for extra white sauce which put it over the top for me. It was my first experience at the Sizzling Gyro food truck and I had an overall awesome experience. They are located right off the street which is very easy to spot. Upon arrival the greeted me and gave me Insight on their menu. Their chicken are well prepared buy charcoal a wonderful smokey case over basami rice. The rice does not use turmeric which turn sticky rice yellow which was not typical for me and actually a surprising Delight in taste. The rice was perfectly cooked along with the very tasty charcoal grilled chicken. These people are a prime example of giving back to the community and showcasing their talents in food. I wouldn't be able to share to all of you this feedback of a chicken and rice if it wasn't for their kindness to offer me a small sample of the awesome goodness. I actually ordered the beef and lamb mixed Gyro. I thought I had really good Gyros in the past but this was a really good Gyro that you should try. Very yuuuuuuuummmy! Was excited to try this. Food looks nothing like their display picture The rice was white in color and soggy not yellow like picture. The chicken was not orange in color it was white like it came out of a can. The sauce was ranch. The salad has no color- even the lettuce has no color. My husband tasted it and spit it right out . Jones Fried Chicken has the best Chicken over Rice still and I've tried lots of places. Food has no taste! It was such a disgrace. So disappointed in this place. I found the owner to be nice, personal, and quick with making my food.
