I first visited for a friend's bridal shower, where they set up a buffet for 10-12 guests. The spread included samosas, sliders, chaat, fries, and more--everything was delicious! I returned later for lunch with friends and had another great experience. Their mocktails were refreshing, and we shared a variety of tasty dishes. While the service can be a bit slow, the staff is always helpful, even if they seem a bit short-staffed. Since it's usually not crowded, it's a relaxing spot. Mission: Host a luncheon event at L'Amour Du Cafe at the corner of University Blvd and Highway 6. That's easy. But I need to try the food here before I could recommend my guests what to order. So, I came here once during the week and once on weekend. I liked the service and food both times. My first order was Chapli Kabob with Naan and Electric Blue Lemonade for the drink. Then, I waited until Saturday to try the weekend-only dish, Chicken Biriyani and a cup of Doodh Patti (Pakistani milk tea). I Google searched all dishes before I came here. I have to be familiar with each dish and ingredient on the menu. Speaking of menu, I have to scan the QR code because there is no paper menu. I find it easier to read on a laptop and it's clearly organized. I personally like the Southeast Asian dishes. Because everything is Halal and no pork dishes, I could dine safely. Upon paying, I noticed a 15% service charge. I was told that's for the kitchen staff. Each menu item already priced to include the fee. It's just appeared on the bill that way. I was looking for a bougie girls place to go before a show. I loved the vibe in here, it was super cute. And super empty. We were the only ones there the whole time. They had two people working and we scanned the QR code for the menu. A mixed menu for the vibe in my opinion and the menu does not list any ingredients. We ordered a meat lovers pizza, and I had read it was a halal restaurant. The pizza had a form of pepperoni - lots of cheese and chunks of onion - and maybe something that could have been chicken. I think ingredients on the menu would have been a huge help. I am not sure what makes their drinks $8 assuming they are not alcoholic - but no ingredients were listed to upsell them. Just names like "mango mojito." A better menu and ingredients listed I would hope could bring in more business for them. Every case where you order was empty except for ice cream. My friend and I went to L'Amour du Café for a project, and it was a pleasing experience. L'Amour du Café set itself apart from the rest, from the flowery aesthetics to the fairy lights. The overall theme was so cute! If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful area to dine in, it is perfect for you. The online menu was a bit hard to navigate, with few pictures or no descriptions, and some dishes were unavailable. That was a huge thing for me because it felt like we were going into it with a blind eye. I would say be careful of any ingredients if you have allergies. Though we did enjoy the food. My friend and I ordered several items, and my favorites were the Chicken Alfredo Pasta and Shawarma. It was very tasty and flavorful. It was extremely fresh, and it had a nice, rich consistency. The pizza and fries were less impressive; I would say it was very plain in flavor (could be biased, we are not huge pizza people), but the Affogato and smoothies are 10/10. Prices were a bit high, leaving our bill at around $114, but service was friendly, and the food came out smoothly. I recommend visting at least once! read more

This experience was abysmal. Do not waste your time or hard earned money!!!. When we arrived, there were no other patrons dining when we entered, so I was a little apprehensive. We were given a qr code to view the menu and then ignored us for about 20 minutes. We did not get severed drinks until 30 minutes into being there once we already ordered food. We did not get the choice of water in a cup or paying 2 dollars for bottled water. The language barrier was difficult to order and get things right. The staff that Sunday was all Hispanic and didn't speak much English. We had to correct him about the quantity of an item, an additional item that he added for no reason, and the type of tea we wanted. We did not get out drinks until our appetizer arrived, and they brought out only 1 sweet tea and 1 green tea, which we did not order, and forgot the other tea. We waited another 5 minutes for them to bring the correct other 2 teas. They never asked for sweetened or unsweetened tea either. My mom wanted unsweetened tea, and they brought her sweet. When the food arrived, some of the appetizers were good. My niece had received the wrong order for her main meal, and it took 10 minutes to get it out to her. We already waited 15 minutes just for the appetizers to arrive. All the food took a very long time to get to the table. My mother's burger looked as though as it was fake beef or a frozen burger patty, unlike the one in the picture. For the price of 15 dollars, this burger was unacceptable! On top of this, we never were asked for refills for our drink, and my mom had to ask for one once she had already finished her meal. The whole time, the staff was inattentive, you couldn't communicate well with them, and ignored us. We had to a flag them down to get some. We had to communicate with one of them in broken Spanish because they did not understand English. Once we asked for them for the check, they charged my mom for 2 teas, and my brother paid for an extra water her never ordered. Her bill was 21 dollars for a burger that McDonald's could have made better and a tea. My brother did not like his fettuccine Alfredo and said olive garden's was better. There were only a few things that we liked. For 5 people to eat, it was over 120 dollars for poor service, mediocre at best food, and no communication in English. This has to be the worst ownership/ management that I have ever witnessed in my 41 years of life. How an owner could let something this happen is egregious happen to their business is beyond words. The icing on the cake is that the whole time, it sounded like thunder coming from upstairs. The noise was a dance studio with thuds stiking down above the ceiling while you were eating. This should be a 0 out of 5 review, but I could only put a 1. Please do not go here and support this business that doesn't care about the product or their patrons. read more
