The interior is beautiful and the staff are helpful. Food doesn't miss here. Ever. Sugarcane is fresh and delicious here. I recommend the lychee if you don't have a strong sweet tooth in the strawberry if it's a little stronger. For appetizers, my favorite is the takoyaki, but my boyfriend prefers the chicken Karaage. They're both really crispy. I was a little surprised that it didn't come out, steaming hot, but my boyfriend pointed out that it was a safe temperature to eat, and it didn't get soggy. For entrées, my favorite continues to be the garlic beef, pepper rice. My boyfriend prefers the garlic beef udon. I tried the salmon and it was good, but the beef here is especially fresh and yummy. Definitely add fried garlic and onion. It's worth it . I order the veggies on a hot plate to lie to myself that I'm healthy and I think next time I'll mix it into my rice instead. Found a new favorite place in Fremont! Came here on a Saturday night and we timed it right because the wait for two was only about 5 minutes. A line started forming about 15 minutes after we were seated. While seating us the hostess asked if we had ever been here before in which we both replied No. She sat us at our table and explained the ordering process to us as well as gave some recommendations. We got the Sugar Mama strawberry lemonade and Sugar Mama dragonfruit lemonade for drinks. I have been seeing these lemonades all over social media because of Foodieland so I was excited to try. The fruit flavor was good but I could have used some more sweetness to it. We ordered the Spicy Crunchy Garlic wings for an appetizer. They were just okay. Not to mention we didn't get it as an appetizer, it came out shortly after the main course and we had to ask about it. Not sure if they forgot about it or what. I would suggest order your appetizer first then order main course after. For dinner we ordered the Spicy Garlic Beef Pepper Rice with added onion, garlic butter, and egg and the Kimchi Pepper Rice with added garlic butter, fried garlic, two eggs, and mushroom. The dishes come out on a sizzling hot cast iron dish on top of a wood dish. You essentially cook it yourself and mix the items around to your liking. The cast iron dish itself stays hot for a long time and keeps food nice and hot for awhile. There are extra sauces and spices on the table to add whatever flavor you would like (garlic shoyu, teriyaki, chili pepper flakes, salt and pepper). Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Only thing I'd change is maybe ask for the egg on the side so I could have put an over easy egg on top once I was done mixing it. read more

They got our order incorrect and added green onions to our beef rice when we requested none but they were apologetic and changed it out immediately. Our server was very kind and seemed excited to explain the process of how to order and how the dishes work/how the meat is supposed to be cooked. You can order as a group or individually (on separate phones for both options) - we chose to order as a group under one phone. After ordering, the food came out quickly (felt like after 5 minutes of waiting). The takoyaki wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything memorable either. I can say the same about the gyoza too, though I prefer the latter out of the two. The gyoza was warm, not hot, but crispy still and paired well with its given sauce. I ordered the spicy garlic beef pepper rice - I mixed and made sure to spread everything evenly. I did go a bit too slow and some rice became stuck on the center bottom. I ordered mushrooms, cheese, and curry sauce (came on the side) as additions and I think they did help elevate my entree. However, I felt like it was still not flavorful enough so I helped myself to the sauces and spices on the table (I added a good amount of garlic shoyu to feel satisfied). I am happy to report that the entree did not disappoint my cravings and made me want to try other entrees in the future. Overall, I would come again if I was craving, but I would probably not order the same appetizers.
