If I could give zero stars I would. This woman is extremely rude and I see it with children customers. She should never do children's hair. Her whole vibe from beginning to end was nasty. It took everything in me to not cuss her out, take my baby and walk out. She will never get a dime, recommendation or anything from me again. This place was a complete waste of my time. I booked an appointment with a girl I met at another shop, only to get to the actual salon and another woman shows up. She took one look at my head and said, "Nope. I can't do this. Your hair is too short". In the 10 years that my hair has been short, no one has ever told me that they couldn't braid it. I was recommended to her from a friend of mine and I am extremely happy with her work. She is more then accommodating and took care of my head. Cause I'm a tender head. Lol. SJA MATTHEWS did a TERRIBLE JOB on my hair this past Saturday. THERE IS NOTHING CREATIVE ABOUT HER HANDS!!!!! Less than 24 hours my hair was already coming apart so I texted her to refund my money she claimed she can redo my hair. I told her no I rather have my money refunded. She ignored my text messages and phone call so I came to her office requesting my money back. Long story short she physically assaulted me tried to push me out of her office and didn't care about this RAGGDEY job she did on my hair. Like she waited til she was almost done with my hair to mention it was her first time doing the style I had requestedher to do. I sent her a picture of what I wanted and she co-signed as if she can do the job. CLEARLY NOT!! If my hair looks like it's asleast a month old after 24 hrs. She has ZERO COMPASSION AND ZERO IMPATHY. Let me tell you Sja, is an ANGEL! She is a real woman who listens and applies. I had locs in and she went against her own rules since they were so freshly done and disastrous, and spent 9 HOURS one day and 5 HOURS on another making my dream come true and saving my hair. She is resilient, humble, full of love and grace, and above all makes a great friend as well as hairdresser! My hair never looked better or felt healthier. I had the worst experience ever with Sja. I had an appointment at 12:30 pm on a Friday. I called her at 12:21 to let her know I was there. She came in with a negative and nasty attitude. She was talking a lot of shit saying that if her customers don't like it, they don't have to come back. Now her station only has room for one client. To make matters worse not only is she go off on me for letting her know I was there. Now remember my appointment was at 12:30. She bumped me and did two other peoples hair. (one didn't get there until 2:00 the other at 3:00) They were in and out in less than a hour. Long story short all that anger was directed to me for letting her know I was there. All she did was half ass colored my hair, wash and press it (seriously color, wash and press, no curls, no flat iron) She charge me $85.00 after all the bullshit I put up with $85.00! I called her a few days later when I calmed down. I called her out on it and her attitude and to cancel my upcoming appointment, because I was never going back! I've never been treated like that ever! Plus I didn't get out of there until 4:00! She didn't care or ask if I had anything to do. She didn't apologize and wasn't going to until I called her out about it. At first I thought she was nice a pleasant person until that day. I was shocked! I gave her a good review the first time until she treated me like shit. *** I wouldn't refer her to anyone, oh yeah she was also nasty to my niece as well. But $85.00 for a color, wash and press my hair. Who does that? I would have left but you know how they wash your hair so you have to get it done.
