From staying in other BnB's we expected danishes, coffee, etc. They far exceeded those expectations making easily the best quiche I've ever had, apple crumb cake, homemade rhubarb jam and butter and homemade focaccia. I woke up not hungry and ended up eating everything it was so delicious. My only regret of the weekend was booking an early ferry and not being able to enjoy breakfast the second morning. I hope to return one day!

Rooms were cute and very sound proof, we heard no one else when we were in the room. A cute farm store was there for some basic needs as well. Our hosts Emma and Wiley were so helpful and kind. Thanks for having us. We will return.

We stayed in the Yakima suite which is on the very top of this classically fun looking building. The suite was equipped with a kitchenette, wrap around deck with sun chairs, fireplace, and entertainment system. And if that wasn't enough, the bed was tucked away in a cove that has a skylight for looking at the stars. One of the best things about this suite is that directly below the room is a bakery and cafe that serves fresh pastries and coffee from early in the morning till the evening. All the perks of a bed and breakfast without having to check in and out with anyone. I would definitely recommend this place for a weekend getaway with your loved one, or rent out the site below as well for a big group of friends to enjoy all that Friday Harbor has to offer.

This is a beautiful quaint little family run oasis on Mitchell Bay. There are hotel style rooms, and private cabins. We stayed in a private cabin on the waterfront for our anniversary this year. The cabins are stunning. Everything was super clean. You have a full kitchen and appliances should you want to cook, even equipped with a BBQ outside! There's a small living space, and the bathroom felt like a luxury spa! The shower had pebbled floorings which were so nice. The bedroom was cozy and comfortable and not to mention pitch black which was amazing for sleep! We slept with all windows open at night and slept great with the cool air and again I can't stress enough how quiet the property is. My favorite part is the windows at the front looking at the water and the little sitting nook by the kitchen. I sat there or in the chairs out front for most of our trip just admiring the water and stillness. So pretty! There's a little greenery area for sitting, play lawn games, or fire pits for smores. They also have kayaks and paddle boards for use during the day which was a nice amenity. They also have a general store and coffee shop on property with everything you might need. My favorite part is their water system that's fully treated and maintained by them. Because of it the shower water is so soft and serene, and the drinking water is amazing straight from the tap! This was a 10/10 stay from top to bottom, and we already can't wait to come back!

Check-in was done at the lobby. At the lobby one will also find a store and a coffee shop. Complimentary movies and games can also be checked out at the lobby to enjoy back at your lodging. The store offers a little bit of everything, from clothing to snacks. Complimentary ice machines are available. Bagged ice can be purchased though. Lower-level parking is limited and was completely full in the evenings. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot every time we returned from playing. Wheel barrel type carts located at the gate make transporting luggage effortless to rooms. Adirondack chairs are scattered about the edge of the property to enjoy sipping a beverage, reading or admiring the view. A fire-pit, community BBQ, picnic area and kids play area help pass the time while on-site. The paly area is at the lobby end for those who do not wish to have quarters near noise. The cabin we were given was number 10, a handicap unit. The very first cabin upon entrance and the furthest from the lobby and play area. Our cabin was clean and well equipped. Snug Harbor provided us the peace that we were seeking at the time. My one suggestion would be to offer fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby to establish a more personal touch.

Oh, man. This is a tough review to write. First off, there are so many things I really like about…read morethis hotel. The location is great - close to everything in Friday Harbor but not on a street with as much traffic as some others. The customer service is great - just send them a text and you get a response in seconds. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room interior was good - everything looked clean with plenty of toiletries, cozy robes, and a heated bathroom floor. The bathroom in general was dated. We had a non operational jetted tub that had been converted into a duel faucet rain shower. It was rather weird, but it worked. I also really liked the keyless entry, so no worries about losing your key! Now, my one negative. Our room, and I'm assuming all rooms on this side of the building, abut a loading dock and parking lot for an adjacent grocery store. Every morning at 5am, a semi truck, fork lift, and workers unload the truck. In addition to back up safety alarms, truck engines idling, and workers talking, you also hear the constant rumbling of goods being unloaded. This goes on for HOURS.....starting at 5am. The hotel gives you ear plugs and notes that there is no noise ordinance on the island and notes that neighbors can be noisy and the hotel can't do anything about that. I get it...you can't control noisy patrons or neighbors, but the description given doesn't really convey what is actually going on with this side of the building. Constant, very loud noise and alarms for over two hours starting at 5am. All that said, I would stay here again, but I would make sure any room I book has views of the harbor, and not the back side of the hotel.

Our room was Fidalgo, we had a big soaker tub and kitchen area, I loved having two places to watch tv since sometimes one of you can sleep and the other is enjoying vacation insomnia time. ;) Out back, a walk through a parking lot takes you to King's Market which had everything. We did not find the hotel loud, but they offer earplugs just in case. The mattress was great, seriously- firn enough but with a soft topper or something, we both slept so well.

Separate tv room to watch tv when you can't sleep but the spouse is sawing logs in the bedroom!

Bath was also spacious and toiletries were well-stocked and great quality (all Malin+Goetz!). Super close to restaurants, bars, and the town, where parking is difficult (so being able to walk was a big perk!). Only negatives (and they were very minor) were the missing water and coffeemaker in the room, and the difficulty in understanding the instructions for the shower head.

The first time I called I think I spoke to Doug (I was in a panic), even though he couldn't get me a car he was so helpful and friendly, offering info for other ways to try to remedy our situation. I ended up calling back because he had mentioned having a car for part of the days and I fugured it was better than nothing. This time I spoke with Megan who was also super friendly and helpful. She said, hang on I think I can make something happen for you. She got a car for the whole trip! Secondly, the whole process is a breeze! You pay ahead and get a confirmation email with all the info you could need, a map to get from the ferry to your vehicle (a very short walk), and a code to get in the car. They even have a sticky note with your name on the window. No waiting around in line, signing a bunch of stuff, like a corporate rental company. When you drop it off you just fill it up and leave it where you found it. I don't know if all the vehicles are like this but it was a hybrid so spent barely any money on gas! Would recommend them a million times over!

Not knowing one company from another, I took a shot in the dark and went with Orcas Island Shuttle. I don't know what the others are like, but I have to guess these guys are the best. I think the lady I spoke to was Amy. She was very helpful and efficient and I could tell just by speaking to her on the phone that she took pride in her business. She arranged to have the car at the dock where we arrived on the seaplane and everything was exactly as described. They even had granola bars and bottled water in the car for us. If only more businesses knew how much difference the little touches make. The rate was reasonable and the car was clean and sufficient for our needs. All in all a great experience. I highly recommend them.

The self guided tour was the best! It included history of the island villages with suggestions of local activities.

Despite not having new vehicles, this was more than sufficient and best value for peak season. On our way back, he was very kind enough to drop us off at the ferry. We were given the San Juan Suite. What WONDERFUL accommodations! The suite has two full bedrooms and a small room with a double bed on the renovated side porch (I chose that room, because of all the windows), two bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and deck with a private jacuzzi! WOW!! I felt so pampered! Every morning, Gene brought breakfast to us in bento boxes, and everything was so yummy! My favorite was the poached egg and Canadian bacon with tomato and baby asparagus on thick toast, accompanied by granola and peaches with yogurt. We had ordered milk and orange juice for breakfast, and when we arrived found that the refrigerator was stocked with a fresh quart of each for us. There was also ground coffee for the coffeemaker and a fine selection of teas. We dined well! The furnishings in the suite are elegant and retro without being dated, while the kitchen and bathrooms are completely modern. Even with four people, we felt that there was ample space for us all. Our beds were all quite comfortable, and the temperature controls could be adjusted room by room so that each of us were guaranteed a pleasant sleep. The grounds around our lodging were gorgeously landscaped and beautifully maintained. It was wonderful to wake up in the midst of loveliness every morning! The Inn & Suites are just a few blocks from downtown Friday Harbor and the ferry landing, so we were able to easily walk to all the local attractions, shopping, and restaurants. That was a hidden benefit because parking downtown was often scarce. To say our stay in the San Juan Suite was idyllic would be an understatement. It made a wonderful vacation even more wonderful by giving us a place to return to and relax in comfort and elegance. I am DEFINITELY returning to the Tucker House Inn & Harrison House Suites! I would have preferred a new bar of soap to a large bottle of body wash in the shower, but that may be personal preference. -Location, location, location. We walked everywhere in town except one day; there was a car rental place within walking distance & we were able to explore the rest of the island. There is no denying that the Courtyard Suites have a fantastic location! -The owner allowed us to store our luggage in the suite before check-in time as the Clipper arrived very early in the morning. She provided the same courtesy during the day we checked out. This was much appreciated. Cons: -I hardly slept well at all during our 4 night stay here. -There is a trash dumpster right outside the window by the bed. Three of the four mornings, a loud truck came & emptied the dumpster before 7 a.m. It's possible one of the trucks was a fuel truck as well, I was too tired to look out the window. There was no way to sleep through this racket. -We attempted to keep the windows open to allow a breeze at night since there is no AC. The suite has casement windows that swing out, with mini blinds for privacy. Whenever the breeze came through the windows, the blinds would bang against the window frames. Several nights my husband & I couldn't sleep from the blinds banging, & ended up having to be hot with no cross ventilation just to stop the noise. -By the time tax was added & $12/night for my son to sleep on the futon, it ended up being pricier than we expected at $255 per night. Overall I would recommend the Courtyard Suites, especially if you are a heavy sleeper!

We were so impressed with Mel just talking with her and making our reservation. And what a delight to discover that she was even more gracious and kind and knowledgeable about the island and where to go in person. And everyone we met at the Inn was just as nice and accommodating. We can't imagine finding a better spot to stay when vacationing on San Juan Island.

The hotel is definitely old. They use big brass keys instead of key cards, but some of the old features add to the charm. We had a corner room with a great balcony and a view. The room was spacious and lovely! Comfy bed, amazing view. Free breakfast was pretty standard- we did love that they had gluten free bread and fresh berries and they were could enjoy them from our room. The staff was friendly and helpful! They offer wine service at the counter, but not from 6-9pm. We thought this was kind of funny, but maybe they're encouraging you to go to the wine shop down the street during that time. The hotel has a lovely outdoor area right on the water that we enjoyed. This was a great place to stay, but very pricey. Two nights cost almost $700 but had the same comfort and amenities as a hotel that would cost about half that.

After we strolled back to the hotel looking forward to a cookie and nope disappointed my husband and I had to get our toddler to bed and the receptionist at the front said "sorry there will be more tomorrow around 2 pm" haha ok we're are Checking out at 10 but alright. The simple gesture as a cookie is just that simple but a little gesture goes a long way in hospitality. He could've offered something else or gone the extra to make more, I'm sure guests checking in late would appreciate it too and a warm cup of coffee as a welcome.

The Ferry Landing Suites looks directly over…read morethe ferry terminal and as you sit on the deck, or hang out on the couch you can watch the ferry's come in and out of the dock. We stayed in the Yakima suite which is on the very top of this classically fun looking building. The suite was equipped with a kitchenette, wrap around deck with sun chairs, fireplace, and entertainment system. And if that wasn't enough, the bed was tucked away in a cove that has a skylight for looking at the stars. One of the best things about this suite is that directly below the room is a bakery and cafe that serves fresh pastries and coffee from early in the morning till the evening. All the perks of a bed and breakfast without having to check in and out with anyone. I would definitely recommend this place for a weekend getaway with your loved one, or rent out the site below as well for a big group of friends to enjoy all that Friday Harbor has to offer.

Plenty of outdoor activities, boats, bikes, hikes, and plenty to do near by on the island. -Rooms were beautiful, bed was tall, bed was big, but bed made noise (iykyk) - Bathroom was clean, spacious, and was well lit. -Closet and amenities were on point. Robes, cups, steamer, lantern, and coffee. But no tv or mini fridge. They had plenty of golf carts to get you around the town.

The room came with free breakfast at either Cynthia's or Rocky Bay Cafe, both great spots. Everything was ready for us when we arrived & check out was easy. The room had a mini fridge & a microwave, as well as, plates, cups, and utensils. I would definitely stay here again.
