The manager does an awesome job! She is always out talking to the customers and keeping them up to date on what is going on. She does a great job promoting every event. I love to skate here but I'm so tired of no one monitoring or having a ref out on the floor to keep the kids somewhat in line. They are zipping across the floor, skating in the wrong direction, standing around/ just chilling on the skate floor. It's like dodging bullets. On the weekends this should be a MUST. read more

I love slate station i have been going here for years and me and my family just moved to massachusetts but when we visit the first place i go is here. All the memories made here were fantastic. The workers are sweet and nice. Once you get to know everybody it feels like family. And its a amazing skating rink. Fun times happen here. The all nighters are so much fun, they feed you, they take care of you and you can skate all night. Takia (sorry if i spelt it wrong) she is a amazing manager. She knows how it goes. She's hilarious as well as takes the job seriously. I love her personality and the way she makes the skating rink roll( get it hehe ). But all jokes aside after going here for years the friends i have made are crazy! I was a nobody 3-4 years ago until i met some of the rink rats. There's more rink rats coming but the roller skating community is growing. I met over 20 people at the skating rink. Even though some of them don't go to the rink as often or anymore at all i still have contact with them. Some friends stopped being my friend but the ones who are there for me stand out. By a far stand out. This review could go on forever . So I should probably stop here. But I love this rink read more

It's too bad that the only local skate station is so outdated and dirty. Everyone loves to skate but everyone also likes a clean bathroom vacuumed floors wiped counters and skates that are not full of sweat and smell! Upon arriving it's nicely landscaped and exactly what you would expect from a skate station but once you get past the broken arcade games dirty counters and lockers I wouldn't even put my gym bag in then the skating rink is not bad! As for the restaurant the employees they put their hands in and on everything and serve you over a filthy counter which could easily be resolved with a Lysol Wipe every few minutes! "Family night" is crowded with teenagers making out on the mini golf outside and the most vulgar music to help them along. So take your hand sanitizer probably your own skates and go on a weekday if this isn't your scene Also a vacuum would do the place a big favor and maybe some Lysol spray for the carpeted benches and walls. 3 cans of Lysol would only set them back one ticket entry. They should also invest in meta or wood benches rather then carpeted benches so if they chose to they could be wiped down when they felt it "necessary " The staff is great though and very friendly read more

Skating at skate Station was a good experience. The staff was smiling. They have a military discount of $2 dollars off but would not honor it for each person in our family. Bummer. The skate rentals was quick and easy. They could use more sanitizer spray on the inside of the skates. They smell like many people have worn them. The floor was in good condition well maintained. They have multiple attractions but not worth the extra money. read more

The kids always have a good time when they come here. It's not super updated but it works for a great location for indoor fun for the kids and parents alike if you're not afraid that you will forget how to skate. I wish it were a little cleaner but all in all it's good. read more

I held a Birthday Party at Skate Station and it was AWESOME! The rink still has the old skool charm as Julie said. But Julie I think you might want to visit again. The Management has done some great things in the rink and it is a place I would visit over and over again. After the birthday party my grandson age 6 decided that he wanted to learn to skate better so we went to Saturday morning skate lessons and the method of teaching the kids was great. Two Saturday sessions and he is now a hot shot on skates. The staff has been very attentive to the children that are there knowing many by their first name and encouraging them to learn new things. We were invited to come in on Tue evenings to watch the children's hockey practice. My grandson loved it, guess I will be spending a lot more time there in the future. The music was very good and rated PG and appropriate for everyone. Pricing was great and affordable. Way to go Skate Station ! Two thumbs up! read more

We had a birthday party here for my daughter last night and it truly couldn't have been more amazing! The entire staff was so sweet & accomidating, and I want to specifically recognize Takia & Haley for going above and beyond since the minute we got there! We've never had an experience this wonderful with a birthday party before, and I will forever recommend to anyone to have one at this location! It's a breath of fresh air to see so many young adults working in a place they love, having fun with the kids that go there, and being so polite & respectful! Place is dirty! There is a "ref" (I use that word loosly) on the rink floor watching older kids skating recklessly around the smaller kids and has said nothing to them! Several times they have almost knocked over the younger kids trying to skate. They are rude and reckless with no consideration for the smaller children! I've been here 3x and all 3x it's the same thing! They need to make a skating time slot for kids 10 and under. read more

I grew up in South Florida and really enjoyed going to the skating rink all the time from about 10-14 years old. The rink we went to wasn't always in top condition but at that age all you care about is getting dropped off and having a place to enjoy being a kid without parents getting in the way. I think this place is simply trying to do too many things and not doing any of them very well. First off it was GROSS! A notice to the owners: vacuum cleaners are available for sale at most stores such as Wal-Mart or Target and can be found for less than $100.00. During our visit a section of the floor was under repair - I'm not surprised if the recent tropical storm caused some water damage to their wood floor, i understand this. I was not impressed at all with this facility. Considering this is THE ONLY indoor skating facility in the Jacksonville area I am extremely disappointed. The level of filth, the disrepair, and general lack of care is unfortunate. Really makes me wish i had the means to open my own facility closer to the Beaches. A little care can go a long way! read more

Well, its an indoor activity and we can call it exercise. A bit nostalgic.... BUT the music is mostly offensive. I don't mean the pop top 40 stuff that occasionally sneaks in a naughty word. I mean music that isn't permitted on the radio and constantly has bleeps and beeps. In two hours, during a Saturday afternoon, I heard more beeps and rough songs than I ever have, and this is a place catered to children!!! I am not asking for Mary Had a Little Lamb here, but less curses and beeps for a children's activity would only be appropriate. The staff was less than professional, spending most of their time visiting and chatting with the regulars. OH- and better watch out, those regulars (talented skaters that they are) will run you over in a heartbeat. The "referee" who skates on the floor is chasing them in and out of the clients too, so no help there. We had a bad fall and the referee called out if we were OK as he whizzed by- other customers actually helped us off the floor. And yes, it was scuzzy. In a nutshell: if you allow your children to listen to curse words and graphic language, can hold the urge to bathroom until you get home, and can handle being run over by skaters not being monitored- then this place is for you. read more

My daughter had her 7th birthday party here over the weekend and we had an absolutely great time. The whole process from booking to party was very easy. On my first call I spoke with Takia (sp?) the manager. She was super nice to work with, she answered all my questions and gave me her advice. The day before the party there was a call to remind and confirm. When we arrived the the gentleman at reception was very welcoming and got us started off. We met with Taylor, our party host. She was lovely, got everything set up, made sure we had everything, introduced us to Wally - the gator, and best of all did all the cleaning up. We had tokens for games, party bags, coupons for return visits and very happy tired out kids! Great time. Highly recommend Skate Station as a party venue! read more

So tonight was my brother and I first time going to this venue and I was kinda excited to go with him and my two friends. We got there and it was very busy but seemed ok I paid $24 not bad from 9-12 for two people. We went to get our skates and they didn't have mine or my friends size and that we had to wait no big deal at first. We waited and stood there for a bit and decided let's just go bowling or something else and when we turned in our skates and explained what was going on mind you we hadn't even put the skates on the manager or who ever she was over heard us and told us that there is no refunds and that we will just get passes to come back I was like no thank you I'll just take my cash back... she said absolutely no refunds it says it on the door. They had us the passes and we start to leave I look to see where it says no refunds and everywhere there is flyer size info all over the walls and there in the corner this lil sign says no refunds and I'm like wtf. We leave and as we get to the car I read the pass saying excludes Friday nights and I'm like that what we're here for and then I see the expired date saying January 2018. We go back in and I see another sign that says we do not take expired coupons and my friend says well u just handed us expired coupons and we asked for our money back again they again said no gave us more passes that say July 2018 and took our names and I'm like don't bother we will not be back thanks for our first experience here at skate station! Love the skating!! Thursdays is a 5 buck skating from 6-9. Seems wonderful to get the kids tired!!!! They have a playground indoors and games that taking coins but I'm not throwing my money away. Yes this place is very very clean!!!!!! read more

This does not deserve any stars... All the rental skates are poorly maintained. I had to return several skates because the straps and locks were broken. When I tried to return the skates, I waited at the front desk for about twenty minutes before my girlfriend found one of the workers and asked if I could get some help. He tells her to find the other guy wearing the uniform, "uhmm you're the only one I've seen for the past 40 mins... I'm asking you" my gf replies. The kid (and yes i say kid cuz he was barely old enough to drive) was very disrespectful and gave me some different skates which weren't safe as well. So I finally talked to the manager explained what happened, she was nice and apologized, gave me new skates and yet again the skates weren't safe... So long rant short, I won't be going back and honestly it takes a lot for me to refuse to ever go back somewhere. Skate at your own risk! read more

Skate station was always a fun family place to skate for many many years for our family. Until tonight. My daughter and her boyfriend brought his sister who turned 12 here to celebrate her birthday. They asked if there was a discount for children. They were totally humiliated. The staff was rude and said "oh she has to be at least 15." They wanted a walker and a young employee with an attitude said, "I have to see how big she is." What?! There was a grown adult woman using a walker. All because they didn't "believe" she was 12. Is it a requirement these days to bring in the birth certificates because these assinine employees have their heads so far up their own asses they are experts in everything? Way to go Skate Station Mandarin. Totally make fun of, embarrass, and humiliate a 12 year old girl on her birthday who has to deal with ignorant arrogant jerks all the time because she looks much older than she is. read more

This place is extremely filthy - it needs to be cleaned completely and renovated. The AC does not function well either. I think it can be a fun place once its renovated and made to look great. Otherwise, I wont be going back - I had to come home and take a real good hot shower read more
