She was very excited to get out and get some new clothes but was very disappointed when she got home. She came home and immediately started telling me that the women working there were rude and dismissive. She tried to make small talk and was ignored. Then despite spending several hundred dollars, overheard the two women begin talking shit about her as she was leaving. I hope the owner sees this and knows they are losing customers because of the snooty, rude, disrespectful staff they have there.

Honestly, they gave me great service there and there was a pair they had that fit me and checked all the boxes for a do-everything, urban hiker, work shoe. However, my research said there was an Ecco store in the mall and I remembered the most comfortable shoes I ever owned were dress shoes Ecco like 30 years ago. So I didn't pull the trigger on the Timberlands and went to find the Ecco store. Ecco didn't have the widest selection, but I expected that. But I was suprised that they had an urban hiker type boot that was waterproof. It didn't just fit well, it made my feet feel GOOD. OMG I have been so used to wearing crappy utilitarian boots that I didn't realize how unhappy my feet were. Service was excellent and personal. And bonus, boots were 25% off for Labor Day. I don't think I've ever been more happy with a purchase and shopping experience.....and I'm saying that as a middle-aged guy with almost no patience for shopping, especially for clothes or shoes. I came back to shop for my younger son who needed some dress shirts for upcoming concerts and music…read morecompetitions. We first looked up the websites of various stores, but we were not sure about his actual size. Then I bought one dress shirt from an outlet store, but it turned out that it didn't fit him well despite the size wise was correct. We decided to come to this store to get the right measurements and get the fitted shirts for him. After browsing for a while, we kept seeing big dress shirts but rarely saw any size S shirts. We walked up to an Asian staff (We don't know his name.) who was just helping other customers to see if he could help. After he took care of other customers, he measured my son's neck and arm and let us know the size my son should be wearing. My son was looking for a black dress shirt as now most of his concerts required black shirts and pants. It turned out that those shirts were all sold out, so he brought a different color to let my son try to see if that fit well. The sleeves were a bit long, but only like half inch difference, so we decided to leave them as is and would do alteration if that really bothers my son. He placed an order for a black shirt to ship directly to our house for free. We also got a white tux shirt to go with his tux. The staff explained to us that the studs must be removed before the putting into the washing machine and that at one point those would need to be replaced. I asked to see some studs in case we would need to replace. He helped me find some good deals with those studs. At the end, I asked him to validate the parking ticket. I thought I would get only 2 hours since it says two hour parking at the parking lot. He gave us 4 hours! We were able to swing by some other places without worrying about the parking time limit. My second trip to this store is still pleasant as my last trip for my older son. When we need men's formal wears, this store is definitely my first go-to place.

I was expecting to have to hurry up and return the items, so they could be cleaned and given back. I was shocked when I was told that new tuxedos were going to be ordered based on previous sizes. I have been a customer of REI for years, but my recent experience has left me extremely…read moredisappointed. REI has flagged my account as an "excessive returns" customer and now limits my purchases to effectively being final sale, even though REI widely promotes its customer-friendly return policy. What is especially frustrating is that the company has refused to remove this restriction despite my requests and despite my history as a customer. I understand that retailers need safeguards against abuse, but the process lacks transparency. I was not provided with a clear explanation of what specific returns triggered the restriction, what criteria were used, or what steps I could take to regain normal purchasing privileges. As a result, I no longer feel comfortable making purchases from REI because I am being held to a different standard than other customers while still paying the same prices. A return policy is only useful when customers can reasonably rely on it, and in my case that trust has been lost. I hope REI improves the transparency and fairness of its customer account review process.
