I figured I was out of luck, and decided to walk through the rest of the store on the way out. I will begin with the good... I was in need of new shoes, and other stores were short on inventory. I remembered how comfortable the Skechers shoes were, and decided to get a pair from here. I told the sales rep what I was looking for, and I was able to find the right pair of shoes. The shoes have a memory foam insole, which felt like I was walking on clouds. The shoes have a nice and stylish black leather and light brown stitching. In spite of the busy post-Christmas shopping boom, the staff here was pretty efficient at helping me. The reps were not too pushy, and the transaction went through smoothly Now for the bad... One month after my purchase, the left shoe tore. It was not the stitching, but the supposed leather tore and left an opening 1.5 inches across. It was not practical to repair these shoes, so I donated them to charity. These shoes I used in an urban setting, and I didn't put much stress on them at all. It shocked me that these shoes lasted so short a time. I'm also shocked at the lack of quality considering that Sketchers shoes were not like this before. I guess they are now cutting corners in material and craftsmanship. They just lost a customer. But I hope that they shape up, and that this not happen to anyone else. Get it together, Sketchers! read more

We are big Skechers fans ( I own 4 pairs and my wife has three) and we have always had good customer service. This day the manager, Anna helped us. We had a small problem with one of my wife's shoes. Anna listened to our story. She really listened to us and made some suggestions as to what we could do. We ended up getting another pair of Skechers (with an up sell). So when I walked in I saw some shoes I wanted to try on, I had to look for an available sale person. I found Brandon and asked him if he was available, and asked for him to get grab a 13 for me to try on. He said, pretty much all our shoes only go to size 12. I would really like to understand why you would even bother having a shoe store and shoes that only go up to 12? Every store has standard amount of sizes and 13 isn't out there as a size that is odd. Fan of Skechers Shoes so checked out this new store located in a renovated section of DelAmo by the new food court. Not greeted at all upon entering store and had to flag a salesperson to be able to try on shoes. Not very friendly. Staff seemed cold and unwelcoming. read more

I've bought many pairs of shoes here over the last few years, but after going in yesterday, I doubt I will go back. I was in the store for 8 minutes and observed the following: One employee was helping a woman and a couple was sitting on a bench, looking as if they were waiting for help. And employee was standing behind the counter, not sure what he was doing but sold them locked up. I picked up several shoes that I was interested in, looked at the man behind the counter and looked at the woman helping a customer. Neither acknowledged me, made eye contact with me or attempted to help. I do love Sketcher shoes but not poor customer service. I left and went to the New Balance store down the street. read more

Went in to Skechers for the third time within the past month and the experience was the same. Everyone there was very cheerful, energetic and helpful. I created a problem last time I was lthere by putting two right shoes in the box before I left the store with them. When I returned to exchange for the correct shoe, they didn't have another pair in stock. Monique made some calls and located the shoes at their big outlet store. She then spoke to someone there so the shoes were waiting when I arrived. She also arranged for a nice (large) discount for my trouble on the shoes because I had to return the first pair and repurchase at the outlet store. I went into SKECHERS today looking for some comfortable shoes. Although I saw a few pair of shoes that I wanted to purchase, the customer service was HORRIBLE! The Assistant Manager "OK" was walking around the store snapping his fingers and dancing to the music while the other salesman merely walked around like he was busy. Not ONE of them asked if I needed any help (I was standing next to the counter to checkout). My husband walked in and they asked him if he needed help, but for 20 minutes, never acknowledged my presence. I ordered some shoes for my daughter but her foot had grown a bit so they were too small. She was disappointed so I begrudgingly offered to take her to the closest Sketchers to see what they had. I absolutely hate malls, but figured if we went first thing on a Saturday morning, we could get in and out before it got too painful for me. We walked in and headed to the counter. Monique was there and quickly helped us find the shoes in the right size. She brought out a few sizes just to be on the safe side and helped my daughter try them on. The cut on the second pair wasn't right for my daughter so we found a different style and Monique found them for us too and we were set. I have excellent service at all the Sketchers Stores leave visited. The shoes are priced right an re good quality. My son has a double wide foot. I only regret that they don't make a shoe wide enough for him. I am a supporter of Sketchers because the support the Special Needs Children and Young adults in our community. This is the store where I entered and showed the store manager the defect in my crappily made Skechers sandals. He agreed there was something wrong with them and directed me to contact Skechers, Inc. When I did, they refused to refund me my money. So I dropped the sandals off with a letter to the CEO. Mr. Greenberg, the CEO, does NOT stand behind his products. I'm still waiting for a full refund on glorified slippers. The 3 stars is only because the manager of this store works his butt off on the weekends, yet maintains his composure when having to deal with crappily made shoes that the CEO doesn't want to stand behind. read more

I usually don't shop at sketchers I stopped by to look at the styles and an employee kalin introduced himself to me and asked if I needed help. I asked for my sons size and he told me they didn't have it. He didn't check in the back. How can an employee know if there's a size 6 for a style without checking? I don't know about you, but high pressure salespeople really turn me off. Went to get my daughter some sport shoes, and the salesperson brought out 8 pairs of shoes, half of which were the wrong size. (Yes, we told you her size. Twice.) We decided on one pair (sorry, not three and a shirt, like you wanted us to buy), then he proceeded to tell us he was giving her a 20% discount for her "graduation gift". Says to her, "No really, I'm doing this for you." Dude, the other girl told us EVERYONE gets 20% off on Wednesdays. We later returned the shoes because the memories were too traumatic. Great great experience at Skechers in Del Amo Mall. I've been looking for the Skechers GORun Ride 7's, without much luck. It seems they are much more popular than I was anticipating. From my initial contact on the sales floor, to the manager and everyone in between, my experience was absolutely great! The salesperson, a very energetic and helpful young lady, made calls to stores all over (even offered to call a store in Chile) to locate the shoe and size I needed. Once she located the shoe, after many calls (she could have easily told me it was not available), she meticulously went over all the details with me to make sure the shoes was delivered to my house (free shipping!). The manager was also helpful and very informative. The next day, Matt called me multiple times to update me on the status of my delivery. Within two days from my initial visit I had my comfy new Skechers on my feet. I was very impressed with the whole staff, and how each piece of the chain went above and beyond what they needed to do. I know many retail employees are tired this time of year due to long holiday hours, and countless angry customers...so I appreciate the kind, and thorough customer service I experienced on this purchase.
