This is my favorite sketchers location. Since we were eating lunch next door, we decided to stop by. They had a huge selection of women's shoes. They are, by far, the most comfortable shoes. They had a buy one get one 50% off sale. I found two pairs of shoes in no time and tried them on. They fit perfectly. There was only one customer ahead of me at the checkout. So I didn't wait long at all to purchase my shoes. The young man that helped me was so sweet. I purchased the two pairs for a really good price. I recommend coming here if you are looking for comfortable stylish shoes for a great price. read more

First off I would not be doing this review if it were only 1 incident, but it's not. The woman working the floor is clearly not happy with her job. I understand she has some mobility issues, but so do I, due to having a few strokes 6 years ago and as much as I hate doing it, I have to ask for for help. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. My daughter came home from work last night saying her shoes fell apart at the seams! They are slip resistant for her job, and I was shocked they fell apart just after only a couple months of wear. I did a quick search online, called this place to make sure they carried slip resistant shoes (they do, tons of options!) and we came here fast (just a short drive from home). My daughter tried several pairs before finding one she liked. We got a good deal which was on sale and our experience was quick and easy. The 2 guys at the register were friendly and helpful. Usually, when I write poor reviews about an establishment I try to highlight the positives, but I honestly have nothing good to say about my shopping experience here. The customer service here is horrible. This place is clearly understaffed, and the employees on shift are miserable and treat customers poorly. I work in customer service so I always try to give service workers the benefit of the doubt when it comes to behavior, but it is ridiculous to me that these employees are so comfortable with being rude to strangers for no reason at all. YOU signed up to work here and you agreed to the pay you received. you applied and interviewed at a customer service job, so the BARE MINIMUM, is to treat people decently. I am disgusted, and I seriously hope the employees here get retrained. And according to other reviews, I'm not the only one with a bad experience here at this location. Last year I introduced my Mom to this Skechers store and she was thrilled to find three perfect pairs of shoes. The only downside is they do nor come in Narrow width. She bought them anyhow and has worn them successfully for a year. I recently bought 6 pair of Skechers on the fill a bag promotion with 40% discount...I love them all. Initially I thought my instep was too high for the slip ins; however, the shoe and my foot have built a beautiful relationship . Well that was almost a waste of time. Very typical warehouse shoe store. Well lit and clean, so those were pluses. Shoes displayed on top of shelves of boxes, and often the boxes under the shoe didn't match the shoe on display. Boxes were in random order, likely due to customers rifling through them. There was no place I could find where a person could sit and try shoes on. Salespeople were friendly, but there weren't enough of them for any of them to leave the registers and help customers on the floor. I could count the number of shoes in my size on one hand. I did eventually find something I like in my size, but I doubt I'll return. read more

I went to Skechers on April 1st, located in the Northridge Mall in Salinas to buy a pair of tennis shoes. I was helped by Kristiana and Miguel. I tried on many different styles and sizes. They were both so patient and helpful in finding the right tennis shoe for me. Skecher shoes are so comfortable and the very best and so were Kristiana & Miguel. LOCATION easy to see on El Camino Real. Plenty of parking. INFECTION CONTROL there is an employee at the front door with hand sanitizer to give you some on the way in and on the way out. Mask is required. The employee also points out arrows down each row that way customers only walk in one direction. SHOES I feel like this store has a good selection. Everything was in place and not in a mess. They even have a selection of shirts on the wall on the right. The shirts are only $4.99. They had a buy one get 1/2 off deal so I couldn't resist and ended up buying two pairs. CHECK OUT was just fine. Nobody asked me if I needed anything but honestly I didn't need anything. Monday I bought a few pairs of shoes for work but my wife grabbed black shoes and I grabbed white shoes. We are the manager and supervisor of Silicon Valley Capital Club. We have to look good and when we wore them for a couple of hours, at least 2-3 hours, my feet hurt, they were not resistant. to the falls we went to exchange for a larger size the rude cashier lady told me rudely and threw the shoe box she said you can't exchange a used shoe here we don't make exchanges she was so rude and we gave the receipt and she didn't look at the receipt we gave We had barely bought those shoes a couple of hours ago and we felt humiliated. How can they treat customers like that when we spend money more than $218 plus taxes? It's sad that they have employees so insensitive to customer service like that!! read more

Drove over from Palo Alto because I heard they had a large selection. When I got there, I was disappointed because they didn't have any shoes in my size. I finally found an employee and he told me they didn't have hardly any shoes in 12 or 13 so it was a waste of trip for me. read more

Ordered online, before going to pick my stuff up on Sunday, order was cancelled, no email no sms, traveling tomorrow, this was a gift for someone with a health condition in their feet, now it is gone. They just send sms for useless promos but never for such stuff, called the store and their reason was "your order was not picked up in 4 days", really? I paid for it and there was no mention anywhere for the 4 day pick up, it was not even 2 business days, horrible experience, never buying again, I bought tens of thousands of dollars of sketcher shoes over the years, never again. read more

I did some research beforehand so I knew what I wanted, but couldn't find them in store. Went to one salesperson and she was very helpful. Couldn't find my size so she went to the back to look. No luck. I decided to order from them and have them sent to my home. Another salesperson helped me do that at the register and helped me get the 20% discount I was offered in an email which I accidentally deleted. Everytime I visit this store. I leave a very unsatisfied customer. No joke the employees look like they hate their lives. They are not there for customer service. They are not there to be retail employees. They're there to sit behind the desk with their heads down. Not willing or wanting to interact with their customers. No one has named tags, and they look at you like you're an idiot. I simply ask them if they could tell me what size shoe I bought last time since they had all my information. Last time I purchased shoes and I was greeted with. Are you kidding me? We don't do that. We can't do that. We can't tell you what you bought last time. One I think sketchers is way out of date. If they're asking for people's personal information, they should probably keep track on what they purchase. Last time just my personal opinion. Long story short? I just don't like going to this store. But it's really close to where I live. I have retail experience in the past. I've spent hundreds of dollars on shoes for myself and my family at sketcher online and at the store but today I was treated like I was a lying customer after I requested a refund on an online purchase because my son's shoes were defective. Less than three weeks after we received the shoes and used them, the insole of one of my son's shoes came off and it kept moving around and it hurts when he wears them. I read online that we have 30 days to return defective shoes, and 60 days if you are a sketcher member. I walked in today after having finally found time to come to the store and the female manager refused to refund me the purchase saying that the shoes were worn. Of course they were worn, how else would we have found out that the the shoes were defective? She said that it's defective because my son wore the shoes. I'm hoping she's kidding me because when she tell s me such a thing, she's telling me it's OK that skechers shoes are cheap shoes only last three weeks. Then hell I wouldn't even be shopping here if I knew this to be the case. I'm never going back to this store again and will not be spending my money at the online store either if it's going to be this difficult to return defective shoes. Shop elsewhere. read more

The manager at the Skechers store on El Camino in San Jose is horrifying. The biggest attitude I've seen in a long time. I was unable to get her name and she was not wearing a name tag that I could see... She's a young, African-American woman with very short blondish-gold hair and wears pink framed glasses. She was bossy with her staff, telling them what to do as if she was above them. I watched her for a while with customers... She hardly made eye contact, no smile at all and had a major disrespectful attitude as if she was "it". I had two encounters with her asking her questions where she barely answered my questions, never looking at me, and at the end when I checked out I told her she should look into taking a customer service course because she had horrible customer service... She just ignored me and picked up the phone while I was talking to her and gave me a dismissive look when I told her I was going to put in a review. The membership here is a scam For several years already every time we are at the register the sales person suddenly can not check what our membership balance is... Finally we insist and go to there website and see we have more than a thousand points and now we got a new excuse - we can suddenly not redeem your points due to a "maintenance"... how convenient. Anyway - seems like a real scam - I would complain even further - this is downright misleading - a store that can not check for membership points and then can not use them!!! read more

I must say I came to sketchers with my hopes of getting a couple of pairs of shoes. After about 15 minutes it started to occur to me that this store just doesn't carry hardly anything above the size of 11 for men. I asked a couple employees about larger sizes of shoes for men. The employee told me that he was sorry but the store doesn't usually carry anything hardly over a 12. Sometimes they'll get size 13 but that is the standard. I think sketchers is doing themselves a disservice by not having larger sizes. There are a lot of people out there that need them and have to be a slave to Amazon to get it. I bought one pair of sketchers from Amazon and unfortunately have been disappointed in this particular pair because the souls of this shoe pick up dirt and oil and I didn't notice it at first but It track it all over the house and floors. Now at the end of each day I have to clean the soles of the shoes if I would like to wear them inside. Unfortunately because of a few health problems it really helps me to have the support of the shoes on my feet. Don't get me wrong the employees were nice and polite. Their store is fairly neat and tidy. I am just rating them on their choice of sizes that they have four people. read more

So have been here twice and both times have been impressed! I had heard about this from my husband and when I went they had a huge selection and was impressed! I bought 2 pairs as they were having a buy one get one 1/2 off the entire store! SCORE! So fast forward after Christmas and I put on one of the pairs.. it has a huge glue stain right on the front - I went back and the manager exchanged it within minutes!
