The dining room feels dated and worn out, booth's vinyl seats were peeling badly, which isn't the most comfortable or appetizing look. I came really wanting the beef kebab, but they were already out. I went with the chapli kebab instead, and it was actually pretty tasty, well-seasoned and flavorful, though it packed more heat than I was expecting. Spice lovers might enjoy it, but it was a bit much for my personal taste. My husband ordered the meat lover pizza and gave it a very "meh" review. He said it was just okay, but mentioned the meats tasted different from what you'd get at a typical pizza place, not necessarily bad, just a little unusual and not really what he was craving. Overall, the food was decent, but between the run-down atmosphere, the missing menu item, and the just-okay pizza, it felt like a miss. HIDDEN GEM in the San Fernando Valley We decided to stop here for lunch and so glad we did. It was an unexpected surprise! It's kind of hidden in the back of a shopping center. This was our first time trying this small family owned restaurant but we'll definitely be back! We didn't have time for the dishes that took more time since we had movie tickets. We'll definitely have to try them next time. The ambience could use some updating. There is no public restrooms. But, look past this because the food is really worth trying!! We absolutely loved the Beef Koobideh and Lamb Gyro!! Both were unbelievably delicious and packed with flavor!! It tasted authentic and absolutely fantastic! Don't miss out on the green chutney!! This is one of those places that I fixate over for weeks take a break for a minute then hit it again in full force. Complete hole in the wall but who cares when the food it this good. I will be fully transparent and say that even though I've been here many times, I refuse to get anything besides their chicken over rice plate (my friends tell me their other stuff is incredible too but I can't be separated from the favorite dish). The lettuce is always crisp and fresh, the bread is hot and soft, the garlic and spicy sauces are applied generously, and the chicken and rice are perfect always. I usually can get anywhere from 2-3 servings out of one order depending on how hungry I am. The people are so sweet and this is for sure a family run place, so come support! read more

While the area can get busy, this location has 2 designated parking spots in front of the shop (there could be more, but I noticed 2). Place is pretty easy to get to since the mall is so big. Food quality is great and fresh. I would recommend calling ahead to make an order so that you can pick it up if you're under some time crunch. Everything was great from the rice and protein to the pita and salad. Takeout comes in a Styrofoam container which keeps the heat for about an hour. Hospitality was great. I have been dining around this area of Chatsworth, including at a restaurant that uses the same parking lot, but never paid attention to this place. The Afghani owner said they have been there for around 6 years. The restaurant lists itself as Halal, Mediterranean and Italian (they do serve pizzas too). On entering, the place was empty. I ordered the beef Koobideh plate. It came with long grain rice, grilled tomato (or salad), bread (really fresh and good, made daily from Pizza dough) and cilantro sauce (which tasted like an Indian green chutney). After ordering at the counter I had to wait for the food to be brought out. Not an issue for me, I had no train or plane to catch. In fact, I saw the kebab being rolled at the back. It came in four pieces. And the freshness was easily apparent. Nice flavor, color, char taste and was juicy (a key factor for me). There is nothing worse than a dried-up overdone kebab. I asked for butter to eat with the bread. Service was accommodating and polite. I have to go back to try other dishes from the menu. read more

Curse this place for having such mouth-watering chicken and rice because I've never been able to order anything else, but I'll sneak bites from whomever else is with me. The chicken is spicy, savory, and salty; the rice is cooked to perfection; and the side salad is a refreshing bite after the chicken and rice. My mom is hooked on the gyro (also has never been able to order anything else) and my husband is the only one who has been able to explore the menu but his favorite is probably the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (at least that's what he's ordered the last two times). Get it spicy if you like it that way as the mild, although super delicious, wasn't spicy at all. French fries are cooked exactly how I like them: thin, crispy, and flawlessly seasoned. Portion sizes are big so you won't leave hungry. Everyone there seems friendly enough just be prepared to wait for a little while as they get lots of phone orders, it's worth it though! I've been here about five times now, and I absolutely love the Chicken Over Rice plate it's always so flavorful! The garlic sauce is an absolute must; it takes the dish to the next level. This spot was recommended by a close friend, and we don't mind driving 30 minutes from work just to enjoy it. That said, I'm giving it four stars because I did find a hair in my food on one occasion. I ordered the chicken over rice which came with delicious chicken, basmati rice, ice cold lettuce with garlic sauce and hot sauce all over the top! Oh and don't forget the delicious homemade bread! Found this place from Yelp on my way back home and I am so glad I came across this!! Soon as we walked in we were greeted by this pleasant sweet lady who made us feel so welcomed!!! We ordered half garlic chicken and half bbq chicken jumbo pizza, Chapli kabab burger and plate, chicken over rice, and kofta sandwich. We literally loved everything extremely fresh made but my absolute favorite was rice over chicken and kofta sandwich super juicy and delicious!!!! My family loved the pizza especially since we were able to do half n half. The side of bread that comes with the plate was very soft soo fresh I can't even explain!!! Awesome place. I was heading to the sushi spot in the same property and I saw this place and without think I pulled over in their parking spot and walked in. As i walked in a nice lady with the friendliest attitude greeted me with a smile and she was helping decide on what to get and a customer came in after me and she was also super sweet and friendly and she suggested go me to get the NY STYLE PLATTER which is beef and chicken over mixed rice. Parking is free in the plaza. We came here for beef koobideh, 2 dishes with rice and 2 waters pushed a little over $30 before tip. After we ordered, paid, sat down, we were unapologetically told they only had one order of beef koobideh. My husband is easy going so he choose something else without making any issues. The food came, tasted mediocre and we were short one salad. (That's bc his new dish didn't come with a salad, even though he wasn't too keen on ordering that in the first place.) The restaurant felt grimy and unkept in the dining area. There was no available bathrooms for the customers, which I didn't even think was allowed at restaurants. read more
