I was a but nervous because of my truck being a bit larger than normal but his experience showed pretty quickly. He got the truck on no problem and towed it to the shop. Was super polite the entire time and held great conversation the entire way. I checked with multiple tow companies in the area and he was about 30% cheaper than others. He has a larger tow truck that could seat 4 people which is great for an emergency while with family. Would recommend as anyone's first call.

When he finally got there he was screaming and getting into my husband's face with a bunch of threats. We ended up paying for the tow "service" so that we could get the vehicles back. It was very early and I had a business appointment coming up, so my choices were limited. I spoke to an unfriendly dispatcher or receptionist and was quoted 1 hour and $140. I felt $140 was a bit steep but I haven't needed a tow in a while and didn't have time to shop around. After an hour and 10 minutes I called back to see where the truck was. I was told it should be about 20 minutes more. When they finally got my car to the shop, they tried to upcharge me $10 for using a debit card. The same card they asked for over the phone when they gave me the quote. When I objected, the driver said they always charge $10 extra for cards. I pointed out this charge was never disclosed and it's illegal to charge someone a fee after the fact if it wasn't disclosed. The driver said it wasn't his problem so I called the company back and the guy that answered also insisted they were going to charge me the $10. He was rude and tried to talk over me. I told them that if the charge on my card is over $140, I will dispute it through my card company, and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I just looked at my account, and sure enough, they overcharged me.

His reason was that I hadn't canceled my insurance tow yet. I told him that I tried calling them but they weren't answering so I would have to keep trying to reach them in the mean time. He still refused saying he was going to "pass" because he wasn't going to "race" another tow truck there. What kind of shady business are they running here?! Why would they collect my card information only to refuse me service with some BS excuse like that? He truly was a hero rescuing us and making sure, personally, we got back safely to where we could get a replacement. He not only did the heavy lifting expected with a tow, but also did the time consuming and frustrating task of working with the rental company to secure our transport where we got the replacement when the rental agency only offered a $10 Uber credit - to an area where no Ubers exist essentially not caring if we were stranded or not. Sam intervened and personally drove us the hour+ trip to where we needed to go in his own vehicle the next day. We cannot sing his praises highly enough - personal care that was a blessing if not a miracle these days.
