Yolie's towed my sister's car when she accidentally parked in a reserved spot (she takes responsibility for this error). She is the sole transport for her disabled daughter, and needed her car to drive her around (an SUV big enough to accommodate a wheelchair). She called yesterday asking if she could pick her car up, and was told someone would call her back. No one returned her call. She called again this morning saying she really needed her car and was told to call back after 12:30. She finally got her car but had to pay over $600 (over $300 per day). Really shocking, considering she tried to get it a day earlier and they ghosted her. Not okay! read more

My elderly hard of hearing mother stopped to see a friend at a facility and missed the sign. Being hard of hearing , she never heard them call for a car to be moved. Came out and Yolie's took her car. Luckily for my hard of hearing elderly mother, it was also after closing time for a holiday weekend, so her car got stuck overnight at Yolie's facility. But never fear for a total of $640 she got her car back less than 24 hrs later. Thanks Yolie's for taking advantage of little old ladies who made a mistake. These guys saved my life. Maybe a little dramatic, but still. A few friends and I were on the way to some hot springs past Yosemite. 5 hours into the drive from San Jose, my car's engine broke down and we found ourselves on an empty highway with little to no service, far from home. I called my insurance company. We spend 2 hours trying to figure out who can even tow around the area, how much it would cost, and where I could even tow to. The nearest Kia dealership was 90 miles north of us in Reno, but their service department wasn't open on weekends. There was a small auto shop somewhat nearby on the way to our campsite, but they did not have the resources to service my engine failure. Finally, we settled on towing to a Kia dealership that was on the way back home to San Jose. My insurance company hooks me up with Yolie's Towing. Insurance said they'll arrive in 2 hours, which was weird since Manteca was almost 3 hours away. I called Yolie's directly to clarify. The guy who answered sighed when I told him my coordinates, "Man y'all way the heck out there". No kidding lol. He said he'd look into it and call me back. A bit weird since insurance told me directly that Yolie's Towing accepted the pickup. Whatever, we needed to get out of there. Minutes later I get a call back, "We're on the way, ETA 3 hours". Relief. I thought I was set. BUT. I get a call from Mario and he's telling me one of the roads to my location was closed. My heart sank. It had already been 2.5 hours since we broke down. All this coordinating between towing companies, dealerships, auto shops, and insurance, for nothing. We were gonna have to hike to the nearest town or attempt to call CHP for help. Then Mario hits me with, "But we DO have a Plan B". Turns out Mario had been in talks with another, more local towing service who actually serviced the highway I was on (Shout-out to Lee Vining Towing!!). Mario handled all the background work and came up with this: Have Lee Vining Towing take us to the nearby town of Lee Vining, stay the night in a motel, and they take us to Kia of Stockton first thing in the morning. I'm elated. This was a fine plan B. Despite it being another 2 hours before showing up, the dudes (shout-out Damon and Eric!!) from Lee Vining Towing were all incredibly friendly and knew what they were doing. They even showed us places to eat and hike around the area! Long story short, we had a blast in Lee Vining + Mono Lake, ate well, and were able to be towed through Yosemite on the way back!! All thanks to Mario and his team at Yolie's. These guys are legit and went above and beyond for me. Thank you. read more

This tow service from Manteca to downtown Modesto was the best rate I could find. My car was on a flat bed and not pulled by the two front tires, like most cheaper tows. I wait was around 45minutes which was about the estimated time for the other places I had called. No complaints from me and no hidden fees. read more

Common courtesy is to inform the customer that you are running an hour behind the already estimated two hours, which would make it three hours of waiting time for the customer which could be a huge inconvenience. For that reason of not communicating properly and letting me know of the situation that they were dealing with in regards to their incorrect ETA and delayed time I will never use this company. read more

dude was restricting the owner from acquiring her documents to prove the car was hers, tried to charge her 130$ to get her registration out the car etc. long story short he was breaking the law police was called and enforced the law which was illegal for a tow company to revoke or restrict the car owner access to acquire their registration. after that they ended up raising the storage fee per day from 60$ to 120$ a day. weird company need to be reported to the the business bureau. These guys are awesome. When our very reliable and well maintained truck would not start we set out to get quotes to have it towed to the shop for repair. The 'projects' tab here on Yelp made it easy. Yolies responded quickly, they were very courteous, they asked us a few pertinent questions and then gave us the best quote (out of 3) so we went with them. Our driver arrived in a timely manner and he had an upbeat and friendly demeanor. He began to ask us more probing questions about the current state of our truck and how it came to be in the condition it was in. To our utter surprise, our tow truck driver gave us the same impressions that the car shop owner had given us over the phone, saying that it actually sounded like it might be something in the key chamber itself. Just when we thought he was going to begin the tow he pulled up two phone numbers and said that we might be able to save a few dollars by having one of these locksmiths come to our house to fix it, and then he said that he would be more than happy to come back and tow it for us if neither one of them could fix it. We already understood from previous experiences that the shop owner might 'subcontract' the work out to a locksmith (if in fact that was the issue) and then charge us what he paid the locksmith plus his 'markup', so it was worth a trying to see if we could avoid spending more. We got quotes from both of the locksmiths that he recommended and took the better price, the locksmith came to our house and lo and behold, it was in fact something inside the key chamber and it was fixed within a few minutes! This process saved us hundreds of dollars! We went from looking at up to 900 (per the shop owner) to fix it at the shop to just a couple hundred and having it fixed in our driveway. Yolies could have totally just gotten the truck up and towed, no questions asked, but they did something very unusual in todays economy and it helped us out. This kind of honesty and integrity are rare nowadays. I will definitely call them the next time I'm in need of towing services. read more

My insurance provider contracts with YOLIE'S. They CHOSE to take a tow for me BUT cancelled AFTER the arrival time. Which then led to another 2 hour wait after waiting 45minutes for YOLIES already. Don't take the tow if you aren't going to fulfill your obligation. Bad service. I will be contacting my insurance provider about this and hopefully you get pushed down or removed from their list. I've had some not so stellar experiences with other tow companies in the past, basically treated like I was a complete dunce and an inconvenience. Thankfully, I had the complete opposite experience with Yolies. Last night when I had arrived to the gym, I had noticed smoke or steam coming out from under the hood of my Grand Cherokee. I parked and popped the hood and saw coolant sprayed all over the inside of the engine bay (was diagnosed today that the hose from the water pump failed/ruptured.) I called Mopar Protection this morning to have it towed to the nearest Jeep dealership, Cabral (highly recommend them as well) and they dispatched Yolies. I was originally given a wait time of 120 minutes (2 hours.) To my surprise, they arrived in 45 minutes. Scott was very nice and treated me and my vehicle with complete respect, cracked a couple light jokes, and made be feel completely at ease. Terrible Service from start to finish. I requested a jump start on my Range Rover. Before the woman even started working on it. I asked if she had experience with foreign cars. She lied and said yes. By the end of her visit. My battery fuse was blown out and my car still was not working. She made it worse. I call the owner of the business and explain to him what happened. The owner promised to come personally look at my vehicle on Friday. He never came. I called back Monday morning and Tuesday morning to see when he would come out. It is now Friday, I never received a call back from the owner. At this point I felt ignored and that they weren't trying to help me anymore with my car that their inexperienced driver made worse. Worst service ever! Tow truck driver told me when he picked up my car that if shop was closed he'd take it to their yard & deliver it next day. Never happened. I called & got the runaround. I called insurance company, who contacted them while I was on hold, told it would be delivered. 2 days later body shop called, my car was not delivered. Again I called them & insurance company. A week later, I get a email or text my car going to shop now. I called body shop later in afternoon, my car was not delivered. Ran over highway debris coming home to Sacramento from LA and was super stressed out (tears and all) when I had to pull over on freeway shoulder. My insurance dispatched Yolie's towing. I requested a tow Sunday to the shop because my car got into an accident. They told me that they would ship my car out Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. My car is still at their yard and they keep giving me an excuse saying that my insurance didn't pay them. but when I called my insurance, they said that they were left on a long hold. And never heard back. Prior to them picking up my car. I told them if my car cannot be shipped out Tuesday morning do not pick it up.(I didn't want my insurance to pay lot fees) They were adamant about saying it will be shipped out Tuesday morning and It never did. I was assigned this tow company through Geico ERS and had a great experience. I was in Stockton at the time, and did not know this company was based in Manteca. The driver arrived right on time for the ETA from Geico (which was 90min), and gave me a call 10-15min before arriving. He took a look at my car once he arrived, and once we realized it was not going to start he got it loaded onto the truck very quickly. He even helped push the car back into my parking spot once we arrived at my apartment complex. I'm very grateful to the driver who helped me, Mario, for his assistance in a tight situation. Got into a car accident, luckily there was a tow truck near by. Before he even put my car on the tow truck they gave me a price which was $260 or $280 for 2hours, so we agreed on it. Once the tow truck was in my parking lot and I signed some paperwork they changed the price on me saying that $280 was like for some weekend till midnight thing. The actual price was $580. Geico sent this tow company to pick up my husband's disabled Ford F-150. The tow truck driver arrives late, can't find the key, and can't tow the truck. She calls my husband for the location of the key, which was submitted to Geico as "under the driver side mat". Then, she states that she needs the neighbors to move their cars to gain access to the front of the F-150. My husband calls me and I go outside to grab the key. The driver asks me if I can talk to the neighbors about moving their vehicles. I go next door to bother my elderly neighbors who tell me they can only move one vehicle and that wasn't enough room. At this point, I'm over it. The driver made no attempt to jump the truck or winch it. I tell the driver I'll contact another company for a tow and she tells me, "Any driver will need access to the front." Even the customer service rep from Geico knew that wasn't true and I'm no fool! Does every tow truck company expect vehicles to be in ideal locations? No, cause the very next company towed my husband's truck with no issue. read more
