We've eaten at Skillets at a couple different locations and this one in Founders Square is great, like the others. The coffee is always good, the prices are fair and those potato pancakes are off the charts good! The french toast is my wife's favorite and I'm big into the omelettes and the corned beef hash skillet. The service is always good here and I like how they give you the check right away and you can pay up front when you're good and ready - no rush. The location is good and convenient for us. We've eaten at the one up by FGCU as well and it is just as good although the menu seemed smaller. The waitress said all of the locations were getting a smaller menu now. I've been going to this Skillets for years and unlike many other restaurants I've been to, they have many of the original servers from when I started going (which is always a good sign as it shows me their management team is good). Went for breakfast and did not enjoy our food. It took about little over 20 minutes and our order was not complete, eggs were cold and service was not as it was on our previous visits. The hostess wasn't around when I arrived, so I just seated myself, and even though Pam wasn't my assigned server, she came right over, welcomed me, and took great care of me. She walked me through the menu, made excellent recommendations, and the food was delicious -- perfectly cooked, especially the bacon. Pam, you went above and beyond, and I really appreciate it. Delicious! Great service! Relaxed atmosphere! Get breakfast or lunch anytime at Skillets. This chain has several locations around Naples. The menu has lots of choices for breakfast and lunch which are served pretty much all day. This restaurant is at Founder's Square. The inside has a relaxed homey feel. The wooden booths don't have a lot of padding, but they are sufficiently comfortable for the time it takes to scarf down a delicious meal. Lots of large colored posters of the menu items hang all over the restaurant as well as a large electronic display that flashes the menu items. It's an interesting marketing gimmick. Food seems fresh and is served hot and according to the menu. Everything was delicious and hot. I live the vegetarian Egg Benedict so much, I got it again. It was as good at this location as the one downtown. My mom went for the cinnamon French Toast with almond slivers that came with the spiced apples. It looked scrumptious! She ordered crispy bacon too. Our server was wonderful! She gave us time to look at the menus and checked in with us frequently throughout to refill our drinks. The tab was taken care of at the table. She ran our credit card with the device at the table which I prefer. I definitely recommend this place for a filling, tasty breakfast or lunch. read more

The food at this location has consistently been excellent, and the cooks in the back deserve full credit for their hard work. However, the experience my mother and her guests had this morning reflects a serious failure in leadership--specifically from the General Manager. They were told the wait would be 15 minutes. No problem. Instead, they were left standing outside in the heat for nearly 50 minutes with children, watching other smaller parties of two and three get seated ahead of them. When my mother finally approached the General Manager to address the issue, she was met with defensiveness and excuses. Rather than owning the situation, the manager insisted she "didn't hear anything about it" and claimed there was nothing she could do. If that level of mismanagement is occurring during peak hours, then it's clear the front-of-house team is not being properly trained--or properly led. Host staff should be communicating realistic wait times and managing the list with integrity. If the location is unable to handle high demand, then the team needs to be transparent instead of overpromising and underdelivering. My family ultimately decided not to dine there, and the impression left behind was extremely disappointing. It's unfortunate to see such a gap between the quality of the kitchen and the lack of accountability at the front. Respect your guests' time. Honor the order in which parties arrive. And if the leadership can't manage the flow, it's time to rethink who's running the floor. read more

Food was good. Service was exemplary. Chandler was great. Very attention and very happy. I had corned beef hash. My go to for most my life. They said homemade corned beef and it was good. Wife had greek omelet and really enjoyed it. Coffee was a little weak. Not the best cup Ive had. Outside seating was pretty crowded and a few times guests jumped when sport car owners that backed into their spaced started up there extremely noisy engine. At 118 decibels that is loud. A conversation is 60 db and a motorcycle is 110. Not sure how to keep them from there. A plus I couldn't hear street traffic. read more

The sandwich was an easy order and the waitress completely messed up two orders at our table. While staying in Naples, and on the way to a dog beach in Bonita, we decided to have breakfast at Skillets and we were not disappointed. A very varied menu available for breakfast, excellent service, a quick delivery of freshly prepared food and fair. pricing makes this place very appealing. Shortfall is location. It's convenient enough, but when compared to a place that offers waterfront, dining and equally appealing food and service, that would be the only shortcoming. I truly, truly enjoy this little place. We were there the 1st week it opened and found it a bit wanting but as time progressed, it all smoothed out. Either with my wife, with a friend or just by myself, I go there most Sunday mornings. I find most anything on the menu to be truly very good. Award winning, 5 star cuisine? Nope, but it ain't bad. Their bottomless coffee is perfectly balanced and don't skip the Skillets Potatoes (shredded potatoes, milk, cream, cream cheese and scallions) as they are the star of the show for breakfast plates. Was very excited going to Skillets at noon. I was not busy like it normally is. We got great parking and were sat right away. We sat outside on their nice patio. That is we're we sat for 15 minutes with no one acknowledging we were there. Asked a server who was working the patio if she could help us. She said she would ask the mgr. Asked a second time and she apologized and said it wasn't her section. She was very nice and seemed like a good server. After about 10 more minutes we walked back to the host stand and said we were leaving. Host asked were we were sitting I pointed it out to him. No excuse or concern from him at all. I know labor is hard to come by. We accept that and alway try be patient. It's not the end of the world. We went to yolk's across the street and had a great meal with great service. read more

In the area for a baseball tournament and had high expectations for this place. When we got to the place it was not very busy and got sat right away. My family and I sat, looked over the menu, and chose what we wanted to eat, without one person saying a word to us. We sat and talk amongst our selves for another 5-10 minutes and still nothing. All the while I saw many people walk by, count their receipts at the host counter and also bus some other tables. And still got nothing.
