OWNERSHIP!!! This place should be out of business for many shady business practices!!! Stay as far away from this place as possible!!! The Owners have been underpaying their staff for at least the past 6 months and they penalize their employees (make them pay) if silverware is missing and glasses are mistakenly broken. If an employee loses a ticket regardless of price, they charge them $80 per ticket even if it's for a cup of coffee. They charge their servers 7% on tips that use a credit card even though the rate is usually less than half that...Cooks drinking on the job and it goes on and on...And I hear that the son is harassing the waitress staff sending them weird texts and pictures of him, even though this cannot be 100% verified. The portion size are huge. I ordered the steak and eggs. I think the steak was 12 ounces?. I had two eggs and I had this potato cake that I'm sure was 2 cups of freaking potatoes. I also had two slices of homemade bread. I got two mimosas in my entire bill was less than $36!!! My friend ordered the bananas foster French toast and it was heavenly!!! For less than $10!!! The recently opened one on Collier Blvd. is different on some things and wasn't crazy about it. My only complaint here is the parking lot is too small. They've been there a very long time and I understand it, so I wait and so far it's only been about a minute before someone exits the restaurant. Worth the wait. I really like the vibes here, it reminds me of like a cleaner Waffle House. Like old school America vibes, their hasbrowns are the best I've had in town. My husband is obsessed with their gravy as well. Their bacon isn't great, and as usual they don't know how to make an over medium egg (why is this true of every single breakfast place in Naples? They're always over easy and the only thing they do if you try and correct it is serve you a fully cooked egg with no yolk). Anyway I disgress, the service is usually pretty good but a few of their servers aren't very friendly. I don't care that much about service though as long as they're not rude. Why do they have to be 30 mins away from my house? I was at the courthouse getting fingerprinted and while I was in the courthouse Mrs. K. found this gem on the Yelp app. A little hard to get to the first time but since we missed it the first time the second time we were good. Parking can be a bit goofy but if you pull on the lot all the spots you see are for the Country House East. I ordered their rise and shine breakfast with ham, eggs, whole wheat toast and hashbrowns. Huge portions. While ordering the whole wheat toast I was asked if I would like homemade. Well of course I do. The whole wheat was huge and fabulous. A great big plus for this establishment.
