Whenever I'm in Naples, I look forward to breakfast at Skillets! I travel constantly for work, and am always on the hunt for a delicious, unpretentious breakfast spot and Skillets fits the bill perfectly. The service is always some of the friendliest I've had anywhere, and the environment is bright and comfortable-- a great place to begin the day! Today I had their stone ground whole wheat waffle with berries, and their scone of the day (chocolate chip). Both were excellent! Skillets is the first breakfast spot I went to in Naples. I heard good things about this place and decided to go. I noticed the restaurant did not serve their food in skillets. I personally think that is a marketing misstep. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and helpful. We ordered pancakes with chicken sausage and potato skillet with grits on the side. The pancakes were flavorless and the chicken sausage was disappointing. I don't think I will be back to this restaurant and definitely do not recommend. read more

Me and my mother walked here and met up with my brothers and their friend for breakfast. Such a wide variety of food and every single thing looked amazing! Our waiter was super friendly, welcoming, and willing to help anytime! (Gave him a great tip) We got a seat outside and it was a great place to eat. I got the turkey energy wrap in the picture below and it was so filling I couldn't finish the other half so I took it to go. It was wonderful! In town for a conference and decided to leave the resort and try a local spot. Arrived here at Skillets for a quick breakfast and was disappointed. First off the service was great and the waitress was very cordial. I ordered the pancakes with bacon, eggs and a side of cheese grits. Nothing had flavor...I repeat nothing had flavor. The eggs tasted like the eggs I'd eaten when I was in the Marine Corps...you know the powder stuff they mix. The pancakes were fried hard, which had nice crunch but the inside was kinda mushy. The grits were cooked perfectly except, there was not even a pinch of salt for taste. The bacon and side of fruit were ok which was to be expected. Wondering where we were going to go this morning and this was the closest. Mmm great pick! I had the pecan encrusted French toast plus two poached eggs. I'm just into French toast lately..! It was delicious and way too much! I took one slice with. They have the smaller order and should have had that. It's larger side bread that is one n half size of normal toast! But good. I used the yummy Marionberry preserves that was on the table and it was perfectly fruity and nutty, no syrup. Hubby had Salsilido half salad with a side of choc chip scone and a side of corned beef hash. He just had to try it! It was $7.50 and a good side to try instead of the regular order which was $12ish. Our waitress was great, Sylvia. Brought the carafe of ice tea on the side after the boys first glass! Nice. May come back this week again while here! Yep back again. We had a great experience again. The short: Small chain of breakfast/lunch joints that don't feel at all like a chain. Loved the food and will be back for sure. The long: Was looking for a new breakfast spot while on a weekend trip to Naples and stumbled upon this gem. Was greeted with some friendly faces at the front door and seated quickly. Our server was very helpful and friendly. She guided us through the menu which ultimately led me to ordering the Sunrise Benedict. It was similar to a traditional Benedict but instead of an english muffin, they use potato pancakes as the base and instead of ham, they use bacon. The total package was delicious! Their hollandaise sauce was soooo good and the bacon was nice and crispy. It also came with a side of potato casserole which was also really good. I also tried the waffle that someone else on the table had ordered and it was also really good(especially with their maple syrup). All in all the entire experience was excellent as well as the food. I have this placed saved and will make it part of my normal rotation on future visits up here. Make sure to make a visit whenever in the area. read more

Went here because a trucker recommended it and I was here helping a friend move some stuff, so I went and this place is very clean and the waitress was very nice and right on cue, food was above average, I ordered the cranberry pancakes with nuts and they were so so, eggs were good. Service is typically good. Breakfast food of eggs, bacon, omelets, pancakes are good although the "side" fruit cup that comes with a platter could be larger - simply charge .25-50 cents more for the platter. Scone choices should have strawberry more often. I don't care for the waffles or French toast as the waffles are tasteless and the French toast is also uninteresting. The worst part of the ambience is the constant smell of burnt toast. It happens every time we go there. We were told there has been a request for a new toaster for over a year. The toast does not go where it should and slides to a spot where it has to get fished out before it burns and when the staff is too busy then it burns and the smell fills the air. We often go elsewhere rather than face that smell which gets into your clothing or even your hair. Prices are reasonable for Naples. read more

Just had a wonderful breakfast. Our server's name was Jillian and she was so pleasant! We had so many questions since the menu was rather on the larger size. Had a cup of coffee and the french omelet which was loaded with ham, goat cheese, chives and topped with sun dried tomato hollandaise sauce. The goat cheese was perfect, not to over powering and the hollandaise sauce was so delicious! My side was hash browns and a grilled biscuit. It was the first time I've ever had a grilled biscuit and I loaded it with whipped butter and jelly. So so sooo good. We had a very short wait to get in on Sunday. Everything was typical Skillets. Layout, coffee served in a thermos jug, and friendly but not exceptional service. I would go into great detail about Mrs. K. breakfast but for the eighth or ninth time in a row she ordered French Toast. Mrs. K. says Joe's has the best French Toast. I ordered there monster breakfast burrito. It was huge and it had everything pork one could imagine in the burrito. Just to make sure no one can possibly finish this monster they served it with a side of their hash browns which was almost as big as the burrito. I was going to take a picture of burrito but I don't want anyone thinking I was a glutton. It really was that big. Skillets is on the high side price wise for breakfast especially in the Naples area. We have been to this location twice. Both times unfriendly service by waitress. Hostess was nice. (Off Immokalee and 75, by Publix) The food tasted off... When asked what was wrong with the biscuits and gravy we were told they think the cook was adding too much chicken base. What?! Was no effort made to replace or substitute this inedible dish. (What?!) Normally I'd say it was an off day- but twice now? No excuse for inattentive, I'm friendly service at a restaurant who specializes in breakfast. First time out for breakfast in ages! The food is fresh, but way over priced! My 10.95 avocado toast breakfast came with one piece of toast. Never would have ordered if I knew that. Picture is deceiving. But I splurged for fresh OJ - $3.95 a glass!!! Wow! I should have held off on a side of sausage-$4.75! Yikes...I'm sinking as I write this. I understand you're closing in 40 minutes... but I don't want to hear you throwing stuff around - floor mats literally being tossed up onto a cart with a big thug! Dishes being clanged into a bin...I understand you want to get out of here and go home, but some respect for your patrons still dining is necessary!
