I've been going to this MedSpa for about eight years now, and it has consistently been my go-to place for aesthetic treatments. They handle everything from Botox and lip filler to RF microneedling with such expertise and care. My results have always been perfect--natural-looking and exactly what I was hoping for. Margaret, in particular, is fantastic with RF microneedling. She's been performing this treatment on me for years, and I've never experienced any adverse effects. She really knows how to administer it properly for beautiful, rejuvenated skin. I've also enjoyed a number of fabulous facials over the years, and I recently tried the DiamondGlow treatment, which left my skin glowing and refreshed. It was such a treat! Family-run business - and not in a good way. Really bad experience with the "matriarch" - overbearing, insensitive, and honestly felt in a rush to get through everything so she could move onto her next item. From what I can tell, most of the rooms are empty, and while the pricing is definitely fair, was not a great experience. Margaret Fink has been doing my PRP since 2022 and I love the results. Margaret makes me feel at ease, I have full confidence in her work and what she feels I need. I don't like needles! I've been coming to Margaret for quite some time now. My Mom has been coming to her even longer ;) and we love her! My Mom has always been a member or whatever the heck that route is, I just pay per visit. If there is one thing you will always get from me, it's my authenticity and transparency. I'm not here to say "Oh I get baby botox here or there", F that! I get as much as I need at any given time and that amount has changed over the years. I think I'm currently getting 15units. I get it right between the eyes where I tend to frown with my RBF and a little in those upper forehead lines. I've tried Botox, Dysport and Jeauvea and like them all. I'm typically up for whatever is currently at the best price, or on promotion. Girl loves herself a deal! Prices have always been some of the best around, and although they will be increasing this year - I have a feeling they'll still be tough to beat. So... if you're looking for a great deal on injections this is the place to go. I typically visit their Burbank office because this is closest to me, but they have a Pasadena office which may be more convenient for you based on where you live/work or play. I highly recommend Margaret, poke poke poke and you're in and outta there. I'm not the least bit afraid of a good stick but if needles aren't your thing... need not fret Margaret is super gentle, you'll barely know she gotcha' until about a week later when all of your fine lines are a bit smoother. Street parking on surrounding streets, this new office she is at also happens to be where my primary care physician is located so you can totally use the medical office parking structure directly across the street from the addy as well (same side of the street). I purchased a groupon $125 for 5 sauna treatment sessions of 60 min so that's what introduced me to smooth Aesthetics. Andy at the front desk is wonderful absolutely pleasant to talk to and super helpful/patient. Has that great positive energy and you can feel/hear it over the phone. I do apologize but I forgot the lovely lady's name at the front desk that helped me anyways everyone is 5 stars, really!! The facility is clean and nice everyone has smiles and said hello. The sauna was amazing bran spanking new, music inside, a cup holder for your cold cup of water and a magazine stand. I showered before and rinsed off after the products in the shower are not cheap by any means. They have lots of towels, slippers a rob... I can't wait to try the facial! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This place doesn't even deserve one! I regret coming here with a vengeance. I will never get a groupon again because places like this are being offered. I got the deal for 3 pampering facials or massages. I opted for facial. I go in expecting to relax and feel refreshed after so I look nice for the weekend. From the moment I go in, I notice the back area is unkept and very odd looking. In the room the esthetician wouldn't stop talking and starts cleansing and wiping my face with very hot wet towels, followed by pointless attempts at extractions (literally just squeezed nothing, I know where my 3 pimples were and you didn't go close), next applies one mask (ok no prob), then a peel mask( she asked if I use retin-a, I said yes, she ok but you aren't peeling. It's ok) and she proceeds. Within 10 sec I could feel burning and stinging and tell her right away, she says it's really strong and it's suppose to, just take it as much as you can. I said it is really not easy and hurts ( been 1 1/2 mins) she waits a bit longer, then again with very hot towel she wipes off the mask. That was like lava! She applied a calming lotion which also burned and I told her right away, she roughly wiped it off where it was burning with another lava towel and reapplied it, saying it will help. Then has get my stuff and go. No sorry, nothing. She just said wow your skin is sensitive. I go to the receptionist and tell her I need to speak to someone in charge. She asked why, I say here look at my red burning face. The nurse comes and takes me to back and washes my face again. It's raw by now. Puts on a cream and says that should help. And some ice she keeps putting on and taking off which actually hurt every time she lifted it. I go home and my face is red, burning and hurting. The next few days I am peeling badly and the one spot under my eye is getting darker and skin is cracking /stinging. For almost 1 1/2 weeks my face is peeling and now I have pigmentation and broken capillaries under my eye. It looks awful and I have to spend god knows what to try to fix the Smooth Aesthetics Medical Spa's disaster they created on my skin. read more

This is more of a ***warning** than a review. I was sold a package when I went in. I complained of some redness in my complexion. The salesperson/nurse, Margaret had the perfect treatment for me.I told her that I was apprehensive as I was throwing a large surprise party for my sister in a few days. She assured me I would be fine. She put safety glasses on me that closed my eyes. I could hear popping & other strange sounds. She continued to say all was fine. After, my face was red but she said that would go away. The next day I woke up to my face covered in blisters!!! I called and the woman at the desk told me, "sometimes that happens." WHAT??? I still have facial scars from that nightmare. I should have sued. Don't let that happen to you. Stay away!!! read more

I feel so guilty for judging this "book" by its cover! I drive by this spa nearly everyday & never had a desire to check it out based on the exterior. I recently purchased a Groupon for a series of four Lumi Facials actually thinking it was for another spa. Imagine my initial disappointment when I realized my error! HOWEVER, I obviously decided to use the Groupon anyway & I am so HAPPY that I did!! From my initial contact with Smooth Aesthetics Spa (Andy is wonderful) to just completing my 2nd treatment (love Kathy), I am totally impressed! As mentioned by a previous reviewer, this may not be the place to come if you are looking for a froufrou day at the spa, but it is the place to come if you want incredible service and treatments that work. The interior of the spa is very nicely decorated, clean & cozy. I figured that I would come in with my Groupon, they would sit me in front of some device & send me walking after the treatment & I would probably see little results. Boy was I wrong! With each appointment I have been treated to a mini facial with wonderful products, a thorough explanation about the treatment & absolutely AMAZING results! My cystic acne has cleared up, the scarring is fading, my pores are nearly nonexistent & my skin has not looked this good in 10 years! Used my groupon here for a pampering massage and facial and left feeling pampered. Don't let the outside fool you, the inside is clean and inviting and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had a great massage and a just ok facial, my skin looks great and the girl was really friendly and very gentle - I was just a little disappointed by two things: 1. she only focused on the face, no scalp or shoulder massage and no attention given to the neck. 2. I felt like she was selling me their product line while I was on the table, I'm ok with a soft sell while checking out but not while I am on the table I'm there to relax not shop. Sadly I always kind of feel like when I go to a spa with a groupon, I get a less than standard massage or facial, like they don't roll out the red carpet for you because you didn't pay full price. First time client. Don't know anything about Botox but staff was friendly. Nurse told me that I would need 20 ml for my procedure. I agreed and she took me back to the procedure room. I was a little grossed out. The sheet on the exam table was full of other people's hair. Didn't seem very clean. The procedure also was 20 ml. I only saw 18 ml in the syringe. I don't know if that was right but I don't like confrontation so I paid my bill and left. I will probably not be back. I expect honesty and cleanliness when I go to a medical facility. I love trying new places for massages, especially when there is an option for a body scrub. I was excited to see that there was a groupon offer from here for exactly that! Booking the appointment was easy and flexible so that was super convenient. When I got to the appointment, I came about 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork like is usually the case when you go to a new spa. There was no one up front when I got there. I waited about 10 minutes before someone came up to the desk. She was super friendly. Kind of awkward though she told me that if I were to ever see a groupon again from them, to call them directly and ask if they could honor the groupon deal in house since groupon takes 50% of each sale. I thought that was unprofessional and kind of random. I hadn't even undergone the treatment to know if I wanted to come back yet or not. The therapist came to the center about 5 minutes after my appointment time to set up the room so I didn't get started until about 15 minutes after my appointment time. She didn't introduce herself, I have no idea what her name was. She began the session, didn't ask me what pressure I liked, and just did her own thing. At some points I felt like she was petting me it was so weak. To top it off, as I exited the room the door swung so wide that my finger got jammed between the door and the wall. A warning would have been nice. She gave me half of a cup of water, went to a cabinet to get her purse, and left from the back. I didn't even have a chance to tip her. My friend and I bought a Groupon last Fall and finally cashed it in this past week - such a great experience I wish I had gone a lot sooner! The Groupon consisted of a facial (via Stephanie) and a massage (via Lisa) - both were incredible. I don't think I've ever been treated so well at a spa from initially making the appointment (thank you Andy for your patience with the dates!) to walking in for the first time to interacting with the professionals who work there. The place is clean, relaxing and the prices are reasonable. For me, one of the things I appreciated the most was having Stephanie take the time to explain all the details of the facial (I've only ever had one before...a LONG time ago) and, based on what I wanted for my skin, what the best products would be to use. One thing I want to note is that I was never made to feel I had to buy any of the products specifically sold there. I really appreciated that because when places do that you can't really tell if it's because the product will help or if it's because they are just trying to make a sale. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to pamper themselves a bit. In fact, I already have my next appointment set. :) read more

Groupon brought me to Jen for a detox footbath. I've been curious about this for years, but never had known the wonderful benefits of the footbath. First off, Jen is AWEsome! She has the best disposition, always friendly, cheerful and so knowledgeable. I walked in assuming it would just be a detox through the pores in my feet. Little did I know it would take care of me in ways I would never know. Almost 20 yrs ago, I had a knee injury that left me with damaged cartilage. The ER at the time just gave me pain killers and no PT. I tried electric acupuncture, which gave me movement back. It eventually healed and what I thought "got better". Knee pain emerged about 5 years ago, saw an orthopedic surgeon, and he couldn't diagnose it or help me fix it. It was starting to affect my lifestyle. I started the detox footbath (Feb 2011). I didn't feel the results to my knee right away, but the detox was targeting the scar tissue in my knee. Almost a year later, the pain is about 90% gone. I've also had other services, facial, peel and will be using their new amazing sauna soon. I love this place. Everyone is super friendly, they remember me every time I show up (and I know they see lots of people all the time). I visited Smooth Aesthetics for a 50 minute pampering massage. The whole experience was nice from start to finish. I arrived about 1/2 hour early to enjoy the sauna and was greeted by a very cheery Andy, who was running the reception. He informed me that he would have to turn the sauna on, and it would likely take about 20 minutes to heat up. I told him that was fine, as i just wanted 10 minutes or so to relax my muscles before the massage. The private sauna was in a small room with a sink and shower and utilized internal heaters rather than the normal hot stones to warm the sauna. The massage itself was divine. Massage therapist, Shamane, asked the obligatory questions about what areas I wanted her to focus on and if I had any recent surgeries, then went right to work. She was very thorough and used the right amount of pressure. After the massage she greeted me with a cup of water and demonstrated a couple of stretches that would keep some of my tightest muscle areas a bit more loose and gave me her business card, indicating that I could email or phone her if I had any followup questions. I have driven past Smooth Aesthetics for years and have always wanted to check it out. I came in two weeks ago and I'm so glad I did! I had the best facial with Donna! She is so knowledgeable and very skilled. She has magic hands and my skin looks amazing. I'm also a licensed esthetician so it's always nice to find other professionals who do amazing work. The rooms are clean and organized. I really like that they use Glo Therapeutics in their treatment rooms. It's a great line, so I highly recommend this place for a facial.
