I had my first facial with Carla and I was so impressed. I've had a lot of facials before so I'm quite picky but I've been out of the spas for a few years while I went through cancer treatments. Carla was the perfect reintroduction to luxurious self care and my skin really needed a boost! I've felt like facial massage has become a lost art lately, and often times estheticians are so focused on gadgets/tools/lights/etc that the soothing benefits of manual facial massage have fallen by the wayside. I was so so pleased when Carla give me a wonderful face/neck/shoulder massage while under the LightStim. It felt wonderful and it gave the impression that she cared about her clients relaxation in addition to results. So when it was time for the mask, I hoped she would continue that level of warmth and she did. She did a hand/arm massage while I masked, and that was so nice too. I've had so many technicians either do their dishes during that time or leave the room completely and I appreciated her care for the full treatment. Her products were all great quality, facility was clean, I was offered water and never felt rushed. It genuinely feels like Carla cares for her clients, and sadly I think that's not always the case (especially in LA). I left feeling relaxed and refreshed and had a healthy glow. Thanks Carla! It's tucked away off the street a little so it was very nice and quiet inside Lulur Spa! Only negative is parking can be a little tricky in the area, it's right on the busy part of Robertson (but near a bunch of the Vanderpump Rules landmarks if you're a fan!) so give yourself extra time for parking. read more

I have been seeing Carla regularly (1x/month) for over 5 years now...which should attest to how amazing she really is! Went in originally because I was suffering from hormonal/cystic breakouts due to PCOS. Never had acne my entire life, then this hit me in my late 20's. Part of my plan to fix the problem included regular deep cleaning facials (along with better diet/exercise/supplements/etc) During the first year, Carla noticeably decreased cystic breakouts overall, along with the scarring marks I had along my jawline/cheeks (caused by those breakouts). She put me on a new facial regime using iS Clinical products - which I continue to adhere to religiously to this day. Basically, she helped my skin recover from a traumatic 2 years of hormonal acne. Today, I RARELY breakout. I can't even remember the last cystic blemish I've had - it's that seldom. TLDR: Beware their upsell!! I am going to start off by saying my overall experience here was on the positive side. I came in for the hydrafacial I keep hearing about. When on the table, Jocelyn, said I should get the Diamond Glow instead after she looked at my face and my skin concerns. I agreed and overall it was great, although the whole pimple popping experience is pretty painful. I left with a very red face (as to be expected), and my skin was veryyyyy soft. The softness remains a few weeks later. :) And the staff were fairly nice throughout. HOWever, I came in to relax and get away from the consumerist beatings of in your face ads and media only to be bombarded with Jocelyn wanting to "put me on a treatment," after my already expensive facial was over. The products she told me to buy were pretty costly. She didn't ask if I was interested but worded it so I felt obligated to buy it, which felt very used car salesmany. What I thought to be a nice treat yoself experience turned into what felt like saying "no" to people hounding you for money while vacationing. She of course gave me the largest bottles of the cleansers instead of the smaller ones to try out since they were more expensive. I held off writing this review because maybe the products would've been worth it, but to be honest, I'm not too impressed. Theyre nice products but didn't make soo much of a difference in my overall skin texture. Overall great facial experience, but please don't try and upsell after we spend hundreds of dollars. I got a hydra facial and my skin looked honestly incredible but the results lasted only about a week :( Would definitely go back before an event for sure. Carla is the best! She does a HydraFacial using IS Clinical products (all cruelty free). The HydraFacial is a hydradermabrasion procedure that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates using a Vortex-fusion to induce antioxidants and peptides to give you an amazing glow! She can also do chemical peels, emulsions and masks - hydrating, toning, anti-aging and/or brightening, depending on what your skin needs. She is so good at what she does, and she comes to the rescue when my skin is freaking out (which it has been doing lately!).
