To begin, I had cystic acne, red & very oily skin. I had breakouts constantly. I didn't use cleanser, toner, moisturizer, masks, etc. I laugh now thinking back how I used to just wipe my face in the morning with those makeup remover wipes. Skincare problems have plagued me my whole life. I have had acne since I was about 11 years old and have tried dozens of things, including two rounds of accutane (harshest drug there is for acne!) when I was 16 and then again at 20. It always came back. Out of desperation about 6 or 7 months ago, when my skin started fairing up again I spent an afternoon googling facialist's in LA and began calling random numbers. Ingrid was the first to answer, and she was so nice and understanding. She made me feel comfortable through the phone and even got me in to see her for a consultation the very next day. Woot! I AM SO GLAD SHE ANSWERED! After my consultation I signed up for a series of 3 of her signature facials/peels and then 2 silk peels. A combination of her peels, knowledge of skincare in general, and her AMAZING products, has completely reset my skin. Years of gunk and product abuse had taken a toll on my skin but she patiently (and graciously) spent most of my appointment time extracting every last piece of gunk out of my skin. After several of her facials and peels, I could really start to see that my skin was "resetting" , pores were shrinking, and my skin looks more soft, moisturized, and best of all, nearly blemish free.
