I just sat and stared at the wall for a solid 2 minutes trying to think how I can explain how good my skin looks after this facial. "The best facial I've ever had"... yeah but everyone says that on Yelp "listen, I get a lot of facials, they are my one vice, and this one beat them all" ... eh, I mean it's true but it sounds so Yelpy. I want you to stop and think of a 37 year old man for a second, ew gross, basically a dead person, tell that walking corpse to lie down in a casket. That is me. But when I walked out of the spa and saw my reflection I actually had to double take. It was like I was looking at a living breathing 20 something (ok probably 29 not 22, God himself does not work here). What I actually said out loud was "I didn't know that these kinds of results were possible from a facial". And yes, of course, everything else was amazing about the experience. Margarito may not be God himself but if you told me "no, for real dude, a member of the holy trinity works in skin care" I would think "yep, Margarito is the Holy Ghost or some shit. Wow. Came here to use a microdermabrasion Groupon and left so impressed. Eddy was extremely knowledgeable about microdermabrasion--the benefits, risks, and aftercare. And did a great job of imparting that knowledge. Eddy took his time and made comfort a priority. The procedure was painless and thorough, and ended with some applied serums, which wasn't even part of the Groupon. He's also a great conversationalist and has some interesting experiences under his belt. That was awesome...because as a decidedly mediocre conversationalist, I enjoy the company of people who can make conversation effortlessly. He also has great restaurant recos for every cuisine. One thing I also appreciate is that he paid specific attention to how the procedure would affect me as a relatively darker completed woman. Any person of color knows that products and procedures don't always have the same results across the melanin spectrum. So it's nice to know that he was conscious of this, and wasn't applying a catch-all regimen to his clients. Definitely will return! During the Covid-19 outbreak, I was able to contact Eddy, send him a selfie of my concerns. He talked me through different options. He knowledgeably answered my questions and concerns; ultimately, he helped me decide on product. Then, after the product arrived, Eddy took the time to explain its use. He realized that I did not have a hydrating mask that was essential to reducing redness. He literally walked over a sample to my condo (masked, gloved and six feet away) and hand delivered the hydrating mask. I came here about a month ago. It was really my first experience doing any kind of "self care" procedure much less any kind of spa treatment kind of thing. I've always had a few weird dry patches of skin on my face and my girlfriend has oh so subtly given me hints that I should use moisturizer. "Paul. Put this shit on your face every day" like I said subtle. I came in and I was a little confused. I was sitting in what looked like a photography studio made from someone's old apartment. I relaxed and eventually I got called back. I really had no idea what to expect. I was literally expecting cucumbers on my eyes and mud on my face. Anyway I was very wrong. He talked to me about what's up with my face. Took a look at my skin under some big light. And then started a very strange-- shooting steam at my face, then all sorts of different topical creams and goops were applied to my face. It was relaxing and I left feeling great. It's been about a month and I've done a good job keeping up on scrubbing my face every few days and applying moisturizer (some times! Located on the second floor, this space is an actual 4 bedroom home, with 4 different businesses in it, kitchen included! Each business rents their own room to run their business out of. (Kinda like the Galleria only business, instead of crafts). His business is growing so rapidly that he is going to need to relocate to an area in Andersonville with at least 3 rooms. My Service..... FUCKING OUTSTANDING! OMFG! GURL.... I got a microdermabrasion & Nose wax (I hate my nose hairs). This man pulled so much dead skin off my face, you could fill all the pot holes in LakeShore Drive. As for my shnoz, most places stick a Q-tip up there and give er a good ol pull. One and done. Not Eddie. He got EVERY LAST HAIR! walked me through it and was gentle. Not only is he good at what he does, this fuckers knowledge surpasses information that I have gotten out of most doctors. I am going back in just a few weeks for a few other services.
