Been going here for over a year and I can say the results are slooooow, but are there. All of the ladies here are super sweet and nice. Their schedule is rigid if you're running late, but I have simply rescheduled for another appointment if something is available within the hour of mine. Otherwise, I have to reschedule to a later date. Overall I was planning to cancel because I did not think the sessions were improving my skin, they have I just wish it was much more than it has been. But I do understand it took time for my skin to become the way that it is, so it will take more time to 'turn back the clock' so to speak. read more

Skin Laundry's customer service is rigid, transactional, and frankly unacceptable for the price they charge. My appointment was canceled because I arrived 6 minutes late--their cutoff is 5 minutes. No flexibility, no attempt to accommodate, despite the treatment itself being only 15 minutes. They could have easily adjusted the session slightly, but chose not to. Policies seem to matter only when they benefit them. When it comes to supporting customers, there's zero effort to meet halfway. Meanwhile, they have no issue aggressively pushing for tips--on prepaid services--and then prompting for additional tipping again on follow-up visits. It feels excessive and opportunistic. Scheduling is just as bad. I was told they have hundreds of members and don't have time to assist with bookings--everything is on the customer. If that's the case, then invest in proper staffing or support systems. Hiding behind automation while charging premium prices is not acceptable. This business operates with a "take it or leave it" attitude, prioritizing volume and revenue over basic customer experience. For a service at this price point, that's simply not good enough. I am currently under a contract that includes three payments, each covering two visits. I believe I have already completed two payments, with one remaining. Please continue charging my card for the final payment to fulfill the contract. However, I will not be returning to use any of the remaining visits. Once the final payment has been processed, please ensure that no further charges are made and that my account is fully closed. Please confirm when this has been completed. read more

A $50 Introduction to Skin Laundry--and a Lesson in Why Transparency Matters Skin Laundry offers a $50 introductory laser treatment, which sounds like an appealing way to test the waters. Unfortunately, my experience left me questioning what, exactly, I was being asked to invest in. The company is clearly steeped in technology. In fact, there seems to be so much emphasis on technology that it comes at the expense of something rather important in skin care: personal care. From the automated phone system to the highly standardized aftercare instructions, the experience feels more like interacting with a sophisticated algorithm than receiving individualized attention. To be fair, Skin Laundry is very upfront about one thing: "one treatment isn't enough to achieve the full effect." They make it clear that a series of treatments is required. Fair enough. I appreciate knowing that before spending more money. What they are not clear about is how long those results can reasonably be expected to last once the recommended course of treatments has been completed. I asked a very straightforward question: not for a guarantee, not for an exact number of months, and not for a promise that my skin would behave like everyone else's. I simply asked for a "broad range." I fully understand that longevity varies depending on age, lifestyle, sun exposure, skin care, nutrition, genetics, and other factors. They were unwilling to provide even that. That goes beyond ordinary caution or CYA. It felt like a deliberate refusal to disclose information that a prospective customer reasonably needs in order to evaluate the value of the treatment. If a treatment produces meaningful, lasting results, wouldn't a legitimate business want to talk about those results? Wouldn't longevity be something worth highlighting rather than avoiding? The issue isn't that Skin Laundry can't guarantee how long my results will last. No reputable provider can. The issue is that they couldn't--or wouldn't--give me even a general sense of what customers might expect. For me, that's a red flag. I'm willing to pay for effective skin care. I'm considerably less willing to pay for a treatment when the business is forthcoming about how much I'll need to buy, but evasive about how long the benefit will last. Based on my experience, I can't recommend Skin Laundry. Unless, perhaps, you're interested in being taken to the cleaners. read more

For anyone considering coming in on their special $50 mini-laser facial, I want to share my experience so you know what to expect... I was wondering if one short treatment would make a difference, and I did feel refreshed and super clean when I left. My face felt a bit reshaped, moisturized, and revived, so it was worth it for me. The laser is not at all painful. I did feel pressured to sign up for a membership because the nurse & the person who rung me up kept talking as if I was going to become a member, without checking for my consent or telling me the pricing. They offer medical-grade serums for $50-$100 for one layer of treatment after the laser. Only at the very end did they tell me my package would be $250/month for 2 treatments per month, which is out of my current budget. They do have a $150/month package, but they said it's more for maintenance after 5 or so months of intensive treatments. I do wish they had more affordable options for different budgets. My child has been going there for a year. Results yes, but poorly run organization. Lots of ups and downs with communication over the year and my child denied service bc my signature expired? Where is the communication prior since they send texts constantly? Wasting people's time and gas to get there on time. This wasn't the first time it was denied. Their service is unacceptable. I was only late for 1 minute with the grace period of 5 minutes and they could not accommodate. I literally sprinted and when i walked in, they were like ohh sorry you were 1 minute late from our 5 minute grace period. Does 1 minute really matters? While service only took 15 minutes. Skin laundry should come up with better policies. The reason i was late because freeway was suddenly close and that what makes me late. But it seems like theres no excuse for this place. I got their special before Christmas for a regular treatment at $40 and just had to try it. Got the appointment, drove out to San Ramon and first got stuck in traffic and then couldn't find parking at their lot, had to park in the garage. Long story short, I was 8 minutes late. And they couldn't see me anymore and I had to re-schedule. Major bummer, especially after driving for 45 minutes. So, I tried again in the new year. Luckily, they honored the special price. The next appointment got canceled by them two weeks before the actual date, which I found to be very strange. The third time was actually the charm, I was on time and got seen by their technician. After a lengthy onboarding, I was prepared for a sales talk and of course it came. $250 per month for a membership (minimum 4 months) with as many treatments as you want. I wanted to see how the actual treatment felt first and then wait a few days to see how my skin reacted. Well, the treatment was over in 10 minutes, my skin did not react at all. I didn't see the tiniest change either, even though I added a $50 treatment which they called an "instant botox" treatment. Of course, you could say that it takes a few treatments to see any results. The staff are very friendly and informative throughout the entire process from check-in to the procedure and checkout. A signature laser facial for $50 was a lure for rip-off! 30 questions questionnaire at the entrance, expectation to repeat answers and skin concerns to the front desk agent as well as to the therapist as if they really care and are listening. 15 minutes was their talking, 10 minutes for product selling and locking attempts for future service plan. The appointment said 30 minutes, the receptionist said 15 min but the actual facial was for less than 5 minutes. In the middle of the facial, therapist asks "do you want me to apply $50 product or $75 product"!!! The treatment prescription is the same for everyone - $500+ costing future facials. Not over yet...they wouldn't not mention anything until you swipe the card - cash is not allowed, debit cards decline, credit cards have surcharge! I am surprised at the reviews on yelp versus google reviews because I shared similar experiences with the people who have felt like this place is a scam and it is. I went to Skin Laundry in San Ramon for the first time based off of the promotion of $50 for their laser facial. I should have known it was a tactic to get you to come in and sell you their memberships. The introduction laser for the $50 promo was used with the lowest intensity and I felt absolutely nothing special about the treatment. Then comes the sale pitch of contractual 4 months mandatory payments of membership for the price of $250 a month. I signed up for the membership and told them that I will be cancelling the membership if I do not see results. I showed up to the appointment today for my first power duo (VSL/VV) treatment and when I went to the room, the technician told me the treatment will be 3 days of downtime and I said okay. Then she wanted to start the treatment and I asked her about numbing cream prior to the treatment. She then proceed to tell me that they do not use numbing cream and that the laser treatment will hurt but most of the clients have high pain tolerance and does not need the cream! What? I told her that at my initial promo appointment, the technician said that i can use numbing cream as it will hurt and they are only using the lowest power laser for the promo. Then the technician proceed to say you can cancel the appointment and buy numbing cream and applied it on your face prior to your appointment. I told her no. I have had laser treatment done and the facility always applied numbing cream prior to laser treatment. Then the manager of the facility comes out and tells me that 90% of the clients are fine with the treatment without numbing cream. To which, i will claim BS on. In addition, she claimed that no one would have told me that they use numbing cream because they do not use it and they have been opened for 4 years. I told her that the technician that did my initial laser told me that i can use the numbing cream and she continued to argue that that cannot be the case. Mind you, that technician no longer works at the facility and i was told she was terminated by the front desk personnel when i initially told them what was being told to me at my first appointment. I told the manager that i wanted to cancel my membership because i do not want laser treatment without numbing cream. She said that i am under contract for the membership and it cannot be cancelled. Well, I called my credit card company to deny all future charges and I will be filing a claim with the business bureau. After reading the reviews on google, I feel like many shared similar experiences of this company's ruse to get people to sign up for the membership and forced 4 months of payments under fraudulent claims of what the services actually entail. Please be aware and do your research on other companies that might cost more but at least take the patient's comfort into consideration. read more

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Sadie who was super friendly and welcoming. She sat me down right away and took her time going through the questionnaire with me, making sure I felt comfortable. She was so warm and attentive and it really made a great first impression. SCAM alert !!! Skin laundry is a scam . The person at the reception told me they are charging me $250 for 3 months . On the other hand , I was charged $250 each month for 3 months . I texted them to ask about my membership and they did not respond back to it . Now i am charged again . the service that was given made zero positive impact on my skin and it negatively impacted my skin by making it bumpy on one side . what i got for $750 was 2 treatments for 10 min each ! This is definitely a scam and request you to take a week to read through their contract fine print before signing up and also record conversations if you really want to get treatment from them . But , what's even more scary is possiblity of skin burn from the laser , proceed with caution update based on the response from skin laundry - i was charged for December and i opted out of the membership immediately when i saw this charge which of course means almost a month and not even just seven days prior, so please do not try to sell this one as a favor again read more
