Melissa is a GEM! This review is long overdue as I have seen Melissa for several sessions now between lash lifts and chemical peels (my first time ever getting into these, and so far so good!!). From the very first session with her it was clear how knowledgeable she is about her craft and her products- she clearly cares about her client experience and only chooses the highest quality, healthiest, non-toxic yet still very effective products possible to use on her clients- something I truly appreciate when navigating the beauty industry and all of its pitfalls these days. I always leave there having gained a deeper knowledge of the treatments and what different products do, which I love. She also makes sure to be realistic with what can be accomplished with the treatments and really works with you to figure out the best plan to work towards your goals. Her lash lifts always last a long time and she makes sure to keep note of the curl styles you like the best. The chemical peels (I've had two now) have been gentle yet effective, I felt super prepared for the after care, and results have been great so far! First issue, WHERE IS YOUR MASK?! Working inches from stranger's bare face all throughout the day during a global pandemic. So unprofessional and lack of care for your customers. Spent more time trying to make me feel inept about my products than actually working on my skin. Money down the drain. Won't be back for the 2nd appt. Was totally rushed and looked like all I did was wash my face. To top it off, was super pushy with selling products. Probably why she was bad mouthing all the "great" products she said were the best but then actually are horrible and should use hers. Just not the vibe I am used to. read more

WARNING: Hair still all over my face after dermaplane and small cuts on my forehead! Strongly regret my decision to go here! :( This is how the whole day went.... I showed up to this appt and the door was locked. I texted Melissa that I had arrived and got no response so I waited some more and then called her to no answer again. I waited until 15 minutes after the appt to call again and left a voicemail, this time she called me back and told me to come in. When she opened the door, I realized that the appointment would take place in her loft where she also lived. It was messy and didn't feel relaxing. There was no music playing and there was a cat meowing the entire time. The dermaplane she gave me felt really hasty and I regretted my choice not to make sure she had dermaplane certification. When I got home I noticed that there was still hair on my chin, cheeks, lower and upper lip, chin, and all across my jawline. I asked Melissa if she would consider giving me a refund because I didn't feel comfortable coming back in and she sent me numerous texts arguing about why she wouldn't and even bullied me about personal information I had shared with her. If you're looking for a good dermaplane, I recommend Evolve aesthetics. I took a chance going somewhere else because of the discounts offered on and I strongly regret my decision. EDIT: It's the next day after my appt with Melissa and I've noticed that there are tiny cuts on my forehead. I'm praying that she didn't permanently scar my face. In response to Melissa's response: I felt pressured by Melissa to do the tinting service on my brows, I told her I didn't like the way it looked when I had it done before but she insisted that it would bring out my eyes and be so light colored. Before I could respond she was adding the paint to my brows. I was not "ungrateful". I was uncomfortable. The 25% off of the dermaplane she gave me is what is offered to all new clients so this is something she does in fact normally offer. Because of my experience I did not want to go back to her for the dermaplane again, I asked nicely for a refund for only the dermaplane service and she argued with me defensively. read more
