Will definitely come back for a pedicure Gel X Manicure - 3/5 Although they did last a long time and the shape was good, the polish wasn't all the way to my cuticle. I have relatively flat nail beds and instead of filing the nail down she used what seemed like an inch of glue. This made the nails incredibly chunky and not natural looking at all! I wish it were possible to get a refund. 4 days after my gel polish appointment and the top clear coat is peeling back and polish is loose around the edges. The pedicure (same color different technician) must have used better quality top and base coats because my pedicure is fine. Ultimately, I won't return because longevity is super important. I'm not willing to chance it if only 50% of the service I paid for lasts. I normally don't write reviews like this, but I felt I should share my experience. I recently paid $80 for a set of nails that unfortunately looked nothing like the reference photo I showed. I specifically asked for a coffin shape, but the shape wasn't done correctly and the edges were extremely sharp -- sharp enough that I was worried about cutting myself. The appointment took about an hour and a half, and I left feeling really disappointed with the result. I did try calling to see if they could be adjusted, but I live about 45 minutes away and right now my family is going through a difficult time as a close family member is currently battling cancer, so it isn't easy for me to make the drive back. What made the situation even more frustrating is that I've tried to be understanding with this salon before. In the past I mentioned missing my birthday discount because my father had passed away, and there wasn't any flexibility then either. I still chose to come back because I wanted to support the business. For $80, I expected nails that at least matched the shape requested and were finished safely. I would have really appreciated some effort to make it right -- even a partial refund or credit. I hope this feedback helps them improve their service and attention to detail for future clients. In addition, I'd like to point out that I arrived around 11:45-11:50 AM and left the salon around 1:40-1:45 PM, so I was in the chair for nearly two hours. read more

I used to frequent this salon often. It's clear why I stopped going. I let them know at the salon that I didnt like the "chunky" white look. I was met with a laugh, smirk and a "im very busy now". This is the type of salon that takes more people then they can handle and then rush through the polish process. I had three seperate people work on my toes. I paid, left and did the survey that they automatically send you. When I expressed my dissatisfaction on the survey, I was told to call the location. Called the salon and was told "what you want". Then another associate told me she was a manager and that "they were busy and I had confirmed the color so what did I need?". It's unfortunate that after I expressed TWICE that the service was done poorly I was still met with attitude and complete disregard. I was SO excited to visit after reading the many positive reviews and seeing how many detailed designs they offer. I was beyond hesitant to pay so much for a set of nails, but thought it was just be a one time thing with such a time consuming design. Tutu does a great job at nail design. I just left feeling scammed. 125$ for a French tip FILL! Not even a brand new set, a three week fill. This is in response to your comment. Since there's "no way" I was charged 125$ for a French tip fill here's my receipt. I received a normal pedicure no gel, regular polish so that's why the price is higher than 125$ I gain literally nothing from lying about my experience. I asked about the price and the woman charging my card broke down the price for me and said she'd give me a 3$ discount so my pedicure would be 47$ instead of 50$. read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I wanted to get a full set of acrylic nails for my engagement and anniversary. I called and set an appointment and let them know exactly what I wanted. I get to the salon a little early, but I had to wait 30 minutes before they even started. The nail tech Lisa took 2.5 hours to do my nails. I watched the other tech get 3 clients done before my nails were done. Lisa did not listen to me tell her several times to cut the nails shorter. She also took the dremel to my nail bed and scabbed it multiple times. Lisa also kept pushing on my thumb nail bed where she scabbed it the worst. I told her to stop so many times. She barely cleaned up the acrylic glue all over my fingers. There's still glue on my skin. The coffin shape is really wide and not filed properly. Every nail should have gotten another layer of green polish. They did the blue ombré by dry brushing on dip powder. So the powder went all over my fingers and it's speckled all over the green side of the nail. She forgot to put cuticle oil on my left hand. To top the whole experience off, I got charged double what I set the appointment for because Lisa used green gel polish and blue dip instead of acrylic. so disappointed, i had a good experience in the shop and loved how they turned out but every nail had chipped by the 3rd day of having them. I got a gel manicure so it would last longer but now at day 5 the full top layer is also peeling off. i always get gel at other shops so i know how long it is supposed to last without chipping or peeling. getting my nails done is a treat and not something i'm able to afford to do very often so i'm definitely sad read more

Price is over the moon. Payed $160 for a SHORT set of acrylic nails about a month ago. I did have a simple French tip design ( so I'm assuming they charge $10 dollars PER FINGER per simple French tip design because there's no reason a short set should be over $120) Only writing this review because nails lasted about 1 week until they started lifting. Try Neo nail spa they have been great and gave me a fill for the lifted nails 1/5 of this places price. First nail salon I've ever gone to, consistently! Tutu is the sweetest, and most talented nail artist I have found here in Marin county. She truly takes her time making every nail perfect. It's obvious that she really takes her work seriously and also loves doing it. I get short gel nails now which are perfect everytime(and I'm a perfectionist with what I like). I've had acrylics by Tutu before which I also loved. She gets so creative but also is very thorough and makes sure she's giving you exactly what you want. I wish I could gatekeep Tutu as my nail artist because she's incredible but she deserves all the clients she can get:) I will include some photos of simple nails I've got, that she created.
