So far the aftercare and process after the service are Exactly how she described. They also provided me with an aftercare card so I would not forget anything. Both of my eyes have lost their shape and rounded. His fat repositioning he performed is lumpy and caused bags I never had. In fact, my normal human anatomy and contour is distorted with random lumps of fat at the top of my cheeks. I had really tiny herniated medial fat pads that I wanted removed. And lastly, his co2 laser (that I'm sure he pushes bc he has a quota to fill with Sciton) left me permanently discolored. I was 28 (and getting married in 6 months post op) with absolutely no skin issues or fine lines and he "highly recommended" a FULLY ABLATIVE laser on virgin young skin. This laser should never be performed on someone with tan/freckled skin and I am left with white and transparent skin where the laser was performed. All other occuloplasts use chemical peels or other less intense lasers. Dr. Straka treated me with his one size fits all surgery that he performs on 60+ year olds. He does not customize surgery for anyone and will suggest the exact same thing for everyone, regardless of their anatomy or age. I will have lifelong issues because of this. Any doctor that communicates via social media and provides medical advice via instagram DM is someone to be cautioned about. Please do your own research and never get surgery for a small issue - the risk is too high.

She apparently had time, so she tacked those couple minutes on to the end and I got as many minutes as I actually paid for - that's always super appreciated! It would be nice if the room was a little more soundproofed or located further back in the building away from the road; I could hear lunch hour traffic rushing by on the street about 20 yd away. But other than that, this was a great massage, and I've had plenty over the decades. A lot of therapists these days slop through the motions, but Karen really has a pinpoint, accurate understanding of the human body and I give her full props for 90 minutes of targeted, firm pressure body work. Me having slightly arthritic hands, I greatly appreciate her stamina! I left the appointment, amazed with an amount of flexibility in my neck and shoulders I haven't felt in probably 10 years. My 82 yo mom loves it here, too. There's a plethora of skilled service providers and lots of face, body, general wellness treatments to choose from.

The reason why I'm leaving a review though is to mention that the experience wasn't what I'd hope for. Being naïve with my first ever lash lift, I paid for my session and tipped. I'm sitting in my car trying to feel myself and these new lifted lashes, but all I could see was black residue from products she used. My lashes were also clearly unevenly curled which was unfortunate. I feel like Kay was not taking care of me, assisting other people while it was seconds from removing product from my lashes. I was never in a private room like the other clients, but sat in the main room where people entered and left the building. I'm not sure If I'll be coming back, but I'm desperately looking for a reliable place in Columbus still. Also I wanted to mention that she did tell me that if I called within the next week I could get them redone, but this was only if they had visibly fallen. As much as I hoped they would fall a little so I could get them redone, the lashes stay intact for the most part! It was the experience during and the results that really bummed me out!
