I patronized this merchant eight times for hydro facials I bought via Groupon. For my first two…read moresessions, I saw Evelyn "Eve" Alvarez, the merchant representative and President of O Beauty Services who replied to my emails which are attached here. After that, I saw Jennifer and began requesting only her to give me hydro facials (which I scheduled in person with Jennifer immediately after each session). While I previously had no problem with Eve, Jennifer was my preferred esthetician as she was much more thorough and other little touches created a more comfortable environment. I saw Jennifer for five consecutive months...that alone speaks volumes. But on my last visit on September 4, 2025, Eve switched the booking I made with Jennifer on August 6, 2025 to herself without calling to inform me so that I could choose how to proceed. (Interestingly, Eve called and left me a voice message after seeing my subsequent, negative Groupon review.) Eve failed to perform the hydro facial service I bought and reasonably expected. She applied an enzyme mask to my face and used the hydro facial wand to remove it. That is NOT how a hydro facial works as the wand must touch the skin directly in order to properly perform its suction and serum delivery functions. In my four years of receiving hydro and HydraFacials at various merchants, no one has done this to me before (including Eve). Her actions gave my sensitive skin a negative reaction, and it's my understanding that an enzyme mask should not be applied during the hydro facial procedure, as it greatly increases the risk of irritation. Eve also rubbed a rough, DRY towel on my face upon removing product. Towels should always be warm and damp unless gently patting the skin dry (which didn't happen). Furthermore, during the light therapy portion, she said she'd leave it on for "about 10 minutes" which ended up being about five (I usually received red light therapy as my acne-free skin is naturally very dry, has mild hyperpigmentation, and I've always articulated that I want to reduce specific wrinkles but Eve chose blue light this time). In one of her replies, she lied and stated that my face "had quite a bit of congestion" (she never performed manual extractions or mentioned this on site) and that "the enzyme can create an accelerated purging and healing for 24/48 hrs, but then cools off"...another important piece of information which she conveniently omitted during my session yet stated in her email to rationalize her actions. I had no idea what I had yet to endure due to her willful negligence. On September 23, 2025, Eve denied my refund request. She stated that my account of my experience was an "exaggeration" (curious to know what the "exaggeration" is), I was "unable to acknowledge anything positive" (a wild exaggeration on her part or perhaps she forgot about OBS' positive replies to all the rave reviews I posted on Groupon before my last one), falsely claimed that I didn't communicate who my preferred esthetician was, and had the audacity to accuse me of an "overuse of Groupon vouchers," (yet another exaggeration of hers) despite Groupon's notification that customers "can purchase this deal an unlimited number of times." For the record, Jennifer is an exceptional esthetician but for whatever reason, Eve chose to sabotage my session and grossly overstepped boundaries by making decisions for me without my prior knowledge or consent. Not only did I pay for a service that she intentionally failed to provide but I suffered a breakout as well, which is something I haven't experienced in over 15 YEARS. My skin wasn't smooth, bright or moisturized the way it had always been after previous hydro facials at OBS. If you want to pay to be a guinea pig, have your trust violated and waste your time for poor service that breaches the basic protocol-including ethical etiquette-that licensed professionals like Eve are supposed to follow, and then have the offender minimize your ordeal and chastise you for calling her out on her egregious behavior, you've been warned. This nonsense wouldn't have occurred if Evelyn "Eve" Alvarez was transparent from the start. I deserve a full refund as the service I purchased was never rendered. *I've attached the correspondence I had with the merchant regarding this catastrophe. While the attachments may not have uploaded in order, please refer to the captions where I've numbered them in the order they should be read. There are 10 photos showing our email correspondence plus 5 additional photos for informational purposes. *On October 9, 2025, I received a "Cease and Desist" email where OBS' rep, Evelyn "Eve" Alvarez" has seemingly threatened me for sharing what occurred during my final visit.
