Liz is AMAZING, very down to earth, she makes you feel comfortable and at ease especially since it can be a bit apprehensive having someone manage your goodies down below. I have been going to see Liz for years for facials, waxing etc. She is excellent at what she does and also is super sweet and fun to chat with while she's working on you. She does several different services and now does lash perms and tinting. I will not let anyone touch my eyebrows except Liz, EVER. She can NEVER move or retire. NEVER. After a debacle with my daughter accidentally shaving off half of one of her eyebrows in her early teens, I let her know to grow it back and I would take her to get them done professionally. This was more than 10 years ago, we found Liz and she fixed it right up, and I got mine done for the first time, all I could say was WOW! Having extremely light hair my eyebrows were actually there but looked invisible. With the shaping and tinting it totally enhanced my look and still looked natural. Oh dear.. that's gonna.... HURT. Yes, getting a wax down there isn't the most pleasant experience ever, but Liz made me feel so comfortable getting down to my skivvies and the whole process in general. She did the most difficult part first; ripping it off was an eye clenching, I think I'm gonna die, brief moment experience. But through the good conversation we had (she's like a homegirl.. an athletic one), those 20 -25 minutes flew by. For those stubborn hairs, tweezers were used. Liz also reminded me to relax at times and take deep breaths in and out. Another perk is that Liz provides you with small chocolates prior to your wax, including Ghiradeli chocolates. I like to think these are some prewax relaxer. Although I'm not a chocolate person, I took some to distract myself. Overall, I'm satisfied with my baby smooth skin. Brazilians are $55 ladies (or gents who like to fancy themselves with this). To maintain it, Liz recommends coming after your monthly, mother nature visit and get the Brazilian maintenance for $39. Other tips: -parking is free on the side streets for 2 hours. -this place is across the street from Chase. -this place is across the street from Portos! My Brazilian Wax looks so good I want to post pictures, but I'm not ready to be kicked off of Yelp. Food porn is one thing, actual porn another. TMI? Obviously not. We ladies know, when it comes to maintenance, we want to know what it is we are getting ourselves into. With Liz, she owns her own studio, and takes appointments by request (online too!). After seeing the Yelp decoration and hoping it wasn't a sham, I made a 7:30PM appointment last Friday night. Liz herself is a delight - an easy going, funny and warm person who immediately puts you at ease. Her work, the combination of hard wax and traditional wax and skilled application yields results like I've never had. The hard wax minimizes the irritation, and I have to tell you, I used to get waxes regularly in college in Beverly Hills and dreaded every single visit. It caused me to take a three year break. This single experience has brought me back to the regular waxing camp. If you have never had bikini/brazilian before, or are a veteran, I suggest your first (or next) time you make an appointment with Liz, take about 25 minutes out of your day and $45 out of your wallet (before tip) and walk out a new woman. read more

I waited until the last minute to, um, "prepare" for my trip to Maui, and Liz was able to fit me into a very tight schedule. I was in a rush to leave the house and unfortunately hit traffic on the way over there. To add to my misery, when I finally got there and went to pull out change for the parking meter (there is a parking lot, but I just thought it was easier to pull in front), I realized I HAD LEFT MY WALLET ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER! No ID, no credit cards, no cash, no nothing. I wanted to just leave in tears, but I couldn't leave her hanging so I went up to tell her what had happened. Miraculously, she took me anyway and performed BOTH services on trust alone. Her next client was thankfully running late! We were in the area for a weekend cruise and I was due for a Brazilian and didn't have time back home, yelped this place and it was the first 5 star that popped up. I must say; I was able to book an appointment the night before-around 11:30p- online. Her prices are super cheap for her service! I can appreciate that. Her style of hair removal is equivalent to someone working at a day spa for $85-90 a pop. Overall: she did a great job and makes you feel super comfortable. I've been to waxers from Santa Monica to Pasadena and all over the Valley, and she is the BEST. My eyebrows are always flawless. I get tons of compliments, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with them. I've had a few Brazilian experiences in the past that left me psychologically -- and physically-- scarred (in the past I had signs of lifted skin and near instant infection). A friend of mine convinced me to give it another shot, so I found Vanity Private Studio on Yelp and booked after reading the great reviews about Liz. Her bedside manner is super easy-going and she's definitely not at all like the pretentious, snooty estheticians I've experienced that made me feel like I didn't belong there. Her technique was the first I've seen first-hand with mixed uses of soft and hard wax, and while there's still pain, it's less than what I've gone through in the past. She did a thorough job at tweezing stragglers, too. Afterward, I grabbed a lollipop and took her advice and applied arnica gel (arnicare bought at Sprouts) to help ease the residual pain/swelling. I used this for two days, and it helped a lot. I also Made DIY Tend Skin (mix 70% alcohol, witch hazel and crushed, uncoated aspirin) daily and I had virtually no post-wax bumps/irritation. All said and done, I plan on booking an appointment again next month, and am 100% confident about referring my friend. read more

I have gotten a facial and I have bought several products from Lisa. She is a pro, she is easy-going, and very cool. I'm so loyal to her! I've been to several places around LA, but this is the only place where my face has improved. I've tried so many products from Proactiv to Neutorgena to expensive french brands (Sothys) to Raya to Dr. Mary Lee Amerian to stuff I dont even remember cuz my mom or my friends just told me to use it. When I heard of Liz's organic products on yelp, I was like...well, that's something I definitely have not tried cuz it sounds so weak sauce...Nooo way! I can feel softer smoother skin,and my pimples wanting to get out (instead of staying hard and stuck underneath the skin). The products seem strong enough to clear my skin but sensitive enough to hurt my skin texture (other products are so harsh I get super dry and bumpy like an allergic reaction). I heard of those facials where your face actually glows like days later. And that's seriously what's happening to me now!! And Liz sees every detail. She will get all those pimples. I actually fell asleep and when I woke up I was so embarrassed. Liz had let me sleep for awhile on purpose! And she had applied organic sunscreen and mineral powder to my pleasant surprise ... so thoughtful! I trusted all the 5 star reviews on yelp. Go meet Liz now! I AM SOOO PISSED...that I didn't read MORE awesome reviews about Liz. It's not usually the case that you read a review and people are not only right but it almost does the person no justice. Let me just start by saying that Liz is A-MAY-ZING!!! I don't think anyone ever cared about the "details" of a B.W. I mean seriously!! Usually you lay there, waiting for it to end, but time just flew and before I knew it, it was time to go home, I was almost sad. Usually "it" is sensitive until the next day, but Liz made it so much less painful than any other and I had almost no sensitivity. That just tells me she knows exactly what she's doing. If any of you found Liz before ever going to anyone else, consider yourself LUCKY! I have to see her again for something else and I am sure I will not be dissapointed.
