So I found Kristy back in Oct 2016, and followed her as she moved locations. The first time I called, Kristy was so nice to be able to squeeze me in last minute..for my first ever Brazilian ever.. Like the reviews said, which is why I came, it was quick, not totally painless cause it is my first time, but she did a fantastic job. She used to be at quincy center, at the back of the skincare studio, but have moved to Braintree on the 2nd floor in the 1604 Salon & Spa. Just take the stairs right when you walk in to the left. Very comfortable room where they do the waxing- very clean. You can actually pay in card and tip as well which is very very convenient for me! Unfortunately, Braintree was a bit hard to for me to get to, but if you have a car or live in Braintree it's quite easy to get around. There's always some sort of parking behind the house. read more

I was in town and thought I'd get a facial while I'm here. Found Kristy on Yelp and gave her a call. Her vm said to send a text which I did. Got an appt for the next day in seconds. *thumbs up* The SkinCare Studio is in the same house as the 1604 Hair Salon. There is parking behind the house; and, street parking as overflow. The salon was super busy as it was a Saturday after all. I think the SkinCare Studio only has two small rooms because I was in one and I saw other doors on the same floor but anyways, it's small. Small is fine by me as long as it was well kept and clean which it was. The spa room was clean and set-up as most spas are - dimly lit with neutral colors. Spa music was playing and I heard everything happening downstairs and in the hallway. Hence, the one star deduction. I'm used to extractions and told Kristy to have at it. She was conservative so I'd don't have any redness afterwards. Skin was smooth and actually dewy. My sister actually paid a compliment and she's so stingy with those! Lol This isn't just a basic skincare salon - there are options for microdermabrasion and infrared lights. I'd recommend but don't expect a posh spa experience if you go on the weekends. read more

I had an appt with Kristy today, she is very professional and able to address my needs. I bought a groupon for this and its easy to redeem. I had facials before at Chinatown and they were very pushy to sell their packaged deals. Kristy also had a little skincare tips for me. LOVE HER SO MUCH! Will definitely recommend ppl going to her place. She takes appts only, so try not to walkin. Easy to find her place...right next to Molly Moo's handmade ice-cream. Met Kristy today after purchasing a Groupon for a bikini wax. First, it was great to be able to get in during a Groupon. That has not been my experience with other Groupon deals where they oversell. Had a seaweed facial as well. I had asked if there was time for a facial when I booked and there was not at the time, but she texted when there was a cancellation, which was great. I got a Groupon a few years ago for a facial with Kristy and I have been going back ever since. Kristy tailors my facial to my current needs every time I go in, which is about every 2 months. My skin always feels smooth, soft, supple and new when I leave. I usually schedule out my appointments at the end of my session, but I can work with Kristy via text if one of us needs to change the appointment. Kristy rarely changes the appointments though.. I think the only time was due to a snow storm. I started going to Kristy in the Quincy neighborhood of Wollaston, then I followed her to Quincy Center and now I have been to the new location in Braintree. She's that good that I'll keep following her! The new location in Braintree is really nice, and there is parking. However, the parking lot was pretty dark when I got there and with lots of snow and ice on the ground, you could easily slip.. So be careful and go see Kristy. You won't regret it. read more

Kristy is wonderful. I went in yesterday for a wax. I was nervous because I had never been and didn't know what to expect. The office was beautiful with nice lighting and candles. Kristy was upbeat and friendly, but quick, knowledgeable, and professional. She was also really funny and had some funny stories, which distracted me and put my mind at ease during the process. She was flexible with scheduling appointments and got it done in under 30 minutes. I have gotten brazillian waxes at other salons before, so I can tell the difference between a good waxer vs. a mediocre one. Kristy definitely knows what she's doing. I have recently started going to Kristy for waxing and all I can say is that I will never go anywhere else. She uses high quality wax that does cause you to break out or turn red after having it done. I have very sensitive skin and I normally have to wait about 3-4 hours before the swelling and redness goes down and I don't have to wait anymore. I got my eyebrows and lip waxed and then went out immediately afterward and you couldn't even tell I just got them done. Her prices are very reasonable and I will continue to go back and see her. As other people have said Kristy only has one client in her office at a time so that made me feel better.
