First time here, but definitely not my last! Merienne was fantastic and gave me a fairly relaxing facial. It did hurt a little bit when she was doing some minor extractions however that was to be expected with the facial. She said she could skip it but frankly I wanted to make sure that she was doing everything she could to clear up areas of my face. Leaving my face looks great with great color and tone and hydration. She recommended certain products for me to consider using in the future to keep my face moisturized but definitely didn't push any specific products or anything that they carry at that facility. Overall an excellent facial and one that will likely keep me coming back to this place. Can't recommend Merienne enough as she is nice, friendly and excellent at what she does. I'd tried everything for my acne and was feeling a little desperate when I booked an appointment at SkinCraft for their grand opening special. Was looking for a new place to get facials because I just wasn't really liking any of the other places I've been too. Let me tell you something, this place is like no other! Merienne, the lovely owner of this facial bar, is truly gifted at her craft. She was able to easily asses what my skin needed and recommended I get either get the classic facial or the anti acne facial. I decided to go with the anti acne facial since I was using the grand opening discount she was offering, 50% off for November!! Holy cow did this facial help my skin. I've been struggling with my acne for so long and I feel like I finally found the holy grail. She also recommended some products to me from this brand called roccoco, the same products she uses during her facials actually. The products were a little more than what I'm used to paying, but the price is definitely worth it. I've only been using the products for a few days now and my skin is clearing up the fastest it ever has. The environment of the room my facial was done in is very relaxing and I even fell alseep for a little bit. I'm not sure of this is weird to say but she has very soft hands that feel nice against the skin, which made the experience that much more relaxing honestly! SkinCraft Facial Bar is located right off of Maple Venue and has tons of parking. When you walk into the yellow door spa, go in your first door to the right. There you will be welcomed by a very quaint and comfortable sitting room. When I arrived I knew I wanted an 60 minute facial but couldn't decide on which one. Merienne the owner actually assessed my skin ( which was so great) and educated me on what she saw. She recommended the brightening facial to help with uneven skin tone mainly which I had from old teenage acne scars. The entire facial was so relaxing, I truly felt like a celebrity during and after. She took the time to explain the various masks, what I would feel and how they would benefit me. I've never felt so relaxed and reguvenated after a facial ( and trust me I've had plenty in the past ). If only this place was open prior to getting married because this is the ultimate must go to place before a big event! This woman is a god damn magician!! I swear. As a person who always had skin issues, I have tried several estheticians/dermatologists in the DMV. I gotta say... she is by far the most knowledgeable and capable one. She was able to walk me through and explain the WHY behind my breakouts and reasoning for using certain products. Her understanding of chemicals and ingredients makeup in various products gave me comfort in knowing I was being taken care. Rest assured. A friend of my told me about SkinCraft Facial Bar and connected me with Mereinne. She is the esthetician there. I have had about five facials in my life at other locations and this is by far the best one I've ever received. She is very friendly and great at her job. Mereinne was very attentive to my skin concerns which included some minor acne issues I had as a result of using a product that wasn't suited for my type of skin. Also, she explained and addressed the sun spots I have acquired throughout the years. She educated me on what she was going to be doing to help with these problems and also made some suggestions on how to better care for my skin on my own. I felt like it wasn't just a normal facial - it was also extremely educational. No other esthetician that I have had in the past was as thorough with me as she was. This helps a lot since I can't afford to get a facial every week! She is dedicated to teaching her clients and guiding them throughout the entire process. She is the best esthetician I have ever encountered. She is very knowledgeable about all the products she uses and what ingredients should be used or avoided for particular skin types etc...
