Still been coming here for many years. Dr. Skinner is still awesome but I was bothered by his answer when I asked about tint on my windows cause I commute to work and bright light and light in general has always hurt my eyes even with sunglasses on. His response was its a "myth" ... but I have read it helps to get your windows tinted and wish he had of been more open minded but hey he is the expert and he's been doing this a long time. Women at the front desk are still and always unfriendly and seem so miserable it's disheartening. Hope things are okay in their lives. Where you walk over to get your glasses. There is always one lady who is also super kind and seems to be the only one working over there holding it down. She is really good at managing multiple customers. I guess it has changed names now to San Bernardino Eye Specialist. I have been coming here for 4 years now. I will be as neutral as i can be. Yes the place needs an update/ remodel. However, I have always had a good experience here. One time they did mess up my contacts order but they corrected the issue and resolved it ASAP. I just had my first comprehensive exam at Dr. Skinner's. The receptionist, Ruby was kind and professional. The male technician was courteous during the process. I've been going to Dr. Skinner for over 15 years. He's a really good doctor, I've never had any problems with him. His staff is a different story. They never answer the phone! I've been calling for a couple weeks and they never answer the phone. I left a voicemail and I received one call back and they called after-hours. I missed the call by 4 mins, I immediately called back and they didn't answer. When I go in person, the staff are not welcoming and they are not nice. I hope Dr. Skinner makes a better choice in hiring and keeping staff. Update: I left another voicemail and received a callback again at the end if the day and I was able to answer. Worst place to get an eye exam. Went here because my brother referred me, but instantly regretted it after I went in to see the office, out of date. It was disgusting, the place really needs to be updated. Dr Skinner himself is a rude optometrist, he only took like 5-6 minutes to do my exam, not exaggerating it was quick. I don't know if he was having a bad day or for whatever reason explains why he was acting like a jerk but no need to take it out on his patients. I spent more time waiting then the time he took to examine my eyes. He didn't even want to hear me out, he kept talking over me. What professional does that!?? I've been coming to Dr. Skinner for my eye exams for over 10 years. My insurance allows me to go wherever I want but I would rather come here. The office is cute and old school which is located next to the Fontana Police Department. The office where the actual eye exam takes place is separated from the location where you choose your glasses which is located right across the way. Dr. Skinner's office has been in practice for a long time. But don't let the appearance of the office fool you. Dr. Skinner has many stylish glasses, sun glasses and a variety of contacts you can choose from. The employees of Dr. Skinner are all very polite and helpful. I will continue to come here for as long as I can and also bring my son when he's ready to get his eyes checked. read more

I have been going to Dr.Skinner for more than 25 years. He is a great Dr. However his office staff in the eye exam are not pleasant people. They are not personable at all. I have done customer service for thirty plus years. I would never be so unpleasant! Even when you call they are not personable. My family and I have been going to dr. Skinner for over 10 years. He has no interest in helping his patients. He seems like he just wants to rush and go home. This is the worst customer service I've ever gotten! And I work in customer service to me customer service is everything! I can choose what optometrist to go to the only reason I went to this place is because my husband goes there. it was my first time going to this place. There's two ladies that work there and work in the front desk a young one and the other is older there was no hello, and no good morning we apologize for being late as I was waiting outside. They unlocked the office they both walked in again no words to me me at all! Like to let me know I can go in or anything! The doctor is a great doctor but I don't think he realizes that the receptionist that are representing his office are putting a good face in there, I didn't see them too happy, I almost felt like they didn't even want to be there! Anyway that is none of my business but I do think that the people in the front of the office are the face of the business and they should be greeting their patients with a happy face and be courteous by saying good morning or good afternoon. Once I was done with my eye test the pregnant lady ( I didn't get her name) but there's only two ladies that work the front desk. She came to me and sord of lead me out to where I'm supposed to go select my glasses but didn't say to me she would take me or what we were doing.
