They offer expert consultations and can provide the whole range of all the latest and best non-surgical cosmetic procedures. I finally got lip filler and Dr. Esfahani is an artist! She did such a beautiful, delicate, natural job. Her prices are always fair, and in fact competitive with the best prices I have found in San Diego. But the very best thing about Atossa medical spa is that every Procedure - from filler to laser to PRP to Botox and much more- is done by a medical doctor. I never worry about a new technician who may be nice but unskilled. At Atossa, I know I'm getting a true experienced medical professional with a wide range of experience who uses the best and safest techniques with the latest equipment. Give it a try and you'll see what I mean. It's unique, caring, affordable, and professional. Look no further! You've found your cosmetic spa home!!!

She is wonderful to talk with, she explains everything step of what she's doing and is SO knowledgeable. You can feel her uplifting spirit immediately. What a beautiful soul she is, I actually can't wait to have another procedure done by her! I wish I knew her a long time ago, but I'm so grateful to have found her!

I love Dr. Fabi so much. I've been seeing her for 10 years, and I genuinely look better now than…read morewhen I started. That says everything. She listens to my concerns and I have complete confidence that when she recommends something to me, she has my best interest in mind and the results are always natural. I always look like myself -- just better. I've referred multiple friends to her and they've all had the same experience. Highly recommend without hesitation.

I contacted Cosmetic Laser Dermatology because I was interested in a specific cosmetic filler…read moretreatment and wanted basic pricing before scheduling. The experience was disappointing and, in my opinion, not transparent. I asked multiple times for pricing on a clearly defined request: two syringes of cheek filler, including common options such as Voluma, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Contour, or RHA 4. Instead of a meaningful estimate, I was told the price could range from $400 to $3,000. That range is so broad that it is almost meaningless. The real concern is that the practice then expects patients to pay a $250 consultation fee just to find out what the service may actually cost. I fully understand that a physician needs to evaluate anatomy, goals, product choice, and treatment planning before giving a final recommendation. But for common self-pay cosmetic injectables, a medical practice should be able to provide baseline pricing, including consultation fees, per-syringe pricing, and realistic treatment ranges before asking someone to pay for a consult. The staff member I spoke with was polite, and this review is not about the doctors' clinical skill. The physicians may be excellent. My concern is with the business policy and the lack of upfront pricing transparency. As someone who has worked in healthcare for many years, I found this approach troubling. Patients should not have to pay $250 just to get basic pricing information for a commonly performed cosmetic service. It creates mistrust and makes the financial side of the practice feel opaque and unfair. I chose not to move forward because I did not feel comfortable with the pricing process. I would encourage the practice to publish clear pricing ranges, train staff to answer basic cost questions, and provide patients with useful cost information before requiring a paid consultation.

This review is so long overdue! I live in Los Angeles and wouldn't pick any other surgery center!…read moreIt's so worth the drive! The office is beautiful and clean. Most importantly, Dr. Smoot is amazing! I could not recommend him and his team enough! I feel a sense of connection to him because his brother (Dr. Wendell Smoot) did my very first breast augmentation 20 years ago at LJCSC so who else better to choose as your surgeon! I went to his office for a consultation regarding removing my 20 year old saline implants and replacing with silicone. I still wanted a very natural look but at the same time go a little bigger and be able to notice it. He took the time to listen to my concerns and my hopes for the outcome of my procedure. He recommends what's best for your body type so you have the best natural results as possible and I LOVE how absolutely honest he is. I trusted him 100% and he gave me the exact results that I wanted. From my initial consult, to my pre-op, to my surgery day, to my post-op's, everything just went so smoothly! In terms of pain and the procedure - I was nervous about the pain that would be involved with the recovery, but I truly felt little to no pain. I didn't have to take any intense pain medication. I was up and moving around (with caution) the day after surgery. The techniques that Dr. Smoot uses to prevent pain post op is so amazing and my scars are barely visible! The team and the office staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable throughout the whole process and you leave feeling like family. I just love the level of service they provide! I am now 2 months post op and I couldn't be happier! I'm so happy with my decision to switch out my implants, and even happier that I chose Dr. Smoot to be my surgeon before he retires.

Dr. Johan Brahme performed surgery on me on April 6, 2022. The procedures included a facelift,…read morebrow lift, and mastopexy with subpectoral silicone augmentation. During the pre-operative meeting where Dr. Brahme was marking up the areas for my surgery, he said something like 'don't be nervous, I will see you in there' indicating to me that he was done, but he hadn't marked anything on my breasts yet so I asked if he was going to do the marking on my breasts during surgery. He then got the marker back from the nurse and proceeded to mark my breasts for surgery. The surgery was scheduled for 8 hours; per the surgical records from LJCSC, the surgery took 5.5 hours. The after-care nursing service I had hired (I came in from out-of-state for the surgery) had to be called in early to pick me up. I have been left with several unresolved complications: Visibly uneven eyebrows A visible scar at my hairline from the brow lift Pixie ear deformity on both sides (earlobes attached to the side of the face) Animation deformity of the breasts (implants distort visibly when pectoral muscles contract, a condition clearly visible through a sports bra and shirt at the gym or a bathing suit in the pool or at the beach) I raised the eyebrow asymmetry at three separate appointments in 2022 (April 20, May 17, and August 4). I was told it was swelling that would resolve over time. It did not. At the August 4 Zoom visit, I was told by Dr. Brahme that the eyebrow issue was "fine because you have bangs" and that the breast animation deformity was "just your pectoral muscle, nothing can be done about that." Neither comment is documented in the visit notes which simply say "Other than that she has a line in the lower part of the breast she's doing really well". I also paid for a full mastopexy (breast lift) which was recommended by Dr. Brahme. I was told to expect a vertical incision from areola to inframammary fold, joined by a lateral incision along the base of the breast. Post-op I had neither. When I asked, I was told the doctor had performed the lift through the areola alone, and this required no additional incisions. This explanation is not in the visit notes either. When I later consulted with two other plastic surgeons, both told me that what was actually performed was a nipple repositioning rather than a true lift of the underlying breast tissue -- a different and less expensive procedure (a price difference of about $3,000 later acknowledged in email by LJCSC). No one from the practice followed up with me after the August 4 Zoom visit. No check-in to see how I was doing, no call to schedule the one-year follow-up appointment that was part of service I purchased. I followed up with the practice in August 2023 and made a return visit in November 2023. At that visit, I saw a different physician from the practice, Dr. Smoot. Dr. Smoot told me that my eyebrows were no more uneven than before surgery, something directly contradicted by the practice's own notes from my first two post-op appointments, as well as the pre-op and post-op photos taken by LJCSC. This was also a change from the previous explanation that the unevenness was due to swelling. Dr. Smoot acknowledged that the full mastopexy procedure I paid for was not the procedure that was performed, but said that Dr. Brahme determined during the surgery that the full mastopexy was not needed (although this is not mentioned in the surgical notes). Dr. Smoot was unable to explain why this change to consented procedures was not disclosed to me post-operatively. He also told me my pixie ears were "not that obvious," but when I asked whether he would normally leave a patient's earlobes attached to the face, he said no, and offered to repair them. I declined further surgery here. I consulted with two other plastic surgeons about corrective work. LJCSC offered to give me money toward the corrective surgery, but I told them I did not think the amount they offered was fair given the actual cost of the surgery, the work time I would miss (I am self-employed), care costs (I live alone) and having to go through a whole second surgery and recovery. They told me they were unable to offer anything additional. After spiraling further into depression over the surgery result, I decided to accept the offer anyway and just eat the additional costs, but when I reached out they told me sorry but their offer had only been good for three weeks. They wouldn't even refund me the $3,000 they overcharged for the mastopexy that wasn't performed. Prospective patients: request copies of your visit notes after every appointment and compare them to what was actually discussed. If you feel an outcome isn't what it should be, consult immediately with another physician outside the practice. Make sure your doctor takes the time on the day of surgery to thoroughly discuss the procedures with you so that you have a full understanding and know your doctor is focused and prepared.
