I came here to receive ipl from Sean! He is amazing! From his friendly demeanor to his gentle touch I would 100% recommend going to him! He did a full assessment, made sure I was comfortable, paid attention to detail, continued to make sure I was okay throughout my treatment, and educated me pre and post treatment. I was so eager and excited to try this place especially because it was a referral from my girlfriend AND I was desperately needing a skin treatment since delivering my son. It had been one of those things that I was really looking forward to doing but sadly I did not even get the chance to go here to get my diamond glow facial like I had wanted. A few days prior to my 3pm appointment, I get a text to confirm my appointment which I did. The day prior to my appointment, I get another text letting me know my esthetician had a few openings, to which I reply that same minute stating I'd take the morning slot. Later that evening, I get ANOTHER text informing me that slot was taken and to choose a different time. What? I thought I could come in earlier and therefore had planned my day around that? but instead her excuse was "Yes sorry so by the time you reached out the 11:30am was already booked we have 2pm or 4pm available" to which I replied a screenshot of our conversation stating that I responded to her text that SAME MINUTE requesting the 11:30am time slot. At this point, I was already so put off and didn't even want to go. You're scheduling system/process needs to be revamped. Unfortunately, you have lost me as a paying customer. read more

It's been about a year since I began treating my frown lines with Botox. Prior to coming to SkinSpirit and seeing Jenn Izzarelli, I had tried two other places. At the first place, my results quickly faded and I broke out at the treatment site and the second place was fine until the injector somehow messed with my forehead muscles and gave me a weighted droopy eye look for a few days - yikes! I decided it was worth going someplace that truly had an aesthetic eye and paid attention to detail. After researching Jenn's credentials I knew she was the gal for me! She treated my frown lines with 20 units and when I asked her opinion on whether she thought I needed to treat the rest of my forehead, she helped empower me to make my own decision by asking me if there were any lines at rest that bothered me. Had my first appointment at SkinSpirit on Friday and my skin is glowing!! It was my first time Dermaplaning and Angelina did both my dermaplaning and Diamondglow facial. Doesn't hurt at all and it was just fascinating to see my dead skin cells roll off my face! After feeling so disappointed by regular facial places I decided on SkinSpirit for more of a medical grade facial and it felt like a targeted treatment for my skin needs rather than just a fluffy pampering that doesn't do anything. Had a mostly unpleasant experience both times I visited this location. First of all, all the SkinSpirit med spas have a distinctly corporate feel. Front desk staff were a combination of fake "Newport Beach nice" and passive aggressive. Vibes were not fantastic to say the least. On the plus side, I will say the office is very clean, shiny and well kept. They also seem to have top of the line laser machines, etc. They're rescheduling/ cancellation policy is over the top in terms of strictness. I had received a text about an earlier appointment opening up which I agreed to switch to, both to accommodate my NP's schedule and because I had the flexibility that day. However, when entering the office 5 minutes late, I was informed that it was "too late" and that my entire appointment needed to be rescheduled. This did not make a whole lot of sense. I ended up returning on another day just to complete the treatment but I would not return due to the staff's tone in communicating their strange rules among other things. read more

Shawna is amazing! She is a true expert. I wasn't sure what filler to get for my lines around my mouth and she explained why I should get a certain kind of filler in that area. I took her advice and the results are amazing. She also wouldn't do more filler since I recently got it and suggested I come back in 2 weeks after it settled and see what to do then. I appreciate her honesty. Also, around the mouth is usually very painful, but they have powerful numbing cream that really helps along with Shawna's gentle hand. We had a great consult about a month before the appointment and discussed the different fillers and what would be best for what I wanted to achieve as well as what would work best with my lips personally when it comes to how thin my muscles are there.
