This was one of the most bizarre experiences I have ever had. Jane was unprofessional and very intense. After meeting her, I was not comfortable with her administering botox. She rents a room from another medical office and due to a scheduling error, the room was not available at the time of my appointment (it happens). She suggested that she administer botox in the kitchen of the medical office. I was truly horrified and the staff at the medical office were clearly very uncomfortable with her presence. They openly argued in front of me. It was bizarre and uncomfortable. When I said I was not comfortable and tried to leave, she harassed me outside the office as well as via text for hours following my appointment. read more

I found SkinTight MedSpa on Groupon when I was searching for the Lumecca for a IPL Facial. The IPL (intense pulsed light) Facial was recommended by my dermatologist for my sun damage on my face. ***I didn't know at the time, but SkinTight MedSpa will match Groupons price for the treatments! Better to go directly through them.*** I initially had some trouble locating Fox Vein where she is located inside their office. Construction outside the building. I found it though. Took elevator to second floor. Fox Vein receptionist told me where to go and I found my way no problem. I was greeted by her P.A. Huy. He gave me forms to fill out and answered any questions I had. Very knowledgeable and kind. I was waiting for Jane Scher, RN (business owner) to arrive. I didn't know she was running late at the time. Communication could improve there. She was late for her first appointment that was there before me too. My appointment was for 3. I went in the room at 4:11pm. I didn't mind waiting. Just wish I knew why. They offered me bottled water. Waiting are is small, it's in a hallway in fox vein waiting area. Jane called me in and assessed my face. She recommended her Clear + Brilliant laser along with the Lumecca laser to repair my skin. I appreciate it, though I told her I couldn't afford both. The Clear + Brilliant is more pricey than the Lumecca. Though I'd love to have done more, it's not affordable for me. Licensed veterinary techs don't make much. She understood and used the Lumecca. I appreciate her professionalism and honesty. She is very kind hearted. I loved her little Maltese dog, Botox, who slept in her purse! So cute! Well groomed, you can tell she loves him. The Lumecca laser felt just as they said, like a rubber band snapping on your face lol. It was a hot rubberband snap! She used a gel with it that cooled it slightly. Could take up to two weeks for results. I will update when I have my results! Took before and afters. :) Can't wait!!! I highly recommend Jane Scher, RN!! She also does Botox and fillers along with the IPLs. So it's been three weeks and I didn't notice much of a change. Maybe a slight improvement. I think she could have done better and did my whole face, as I had scheduled. I've gone to another place for the second treatment and she did my whole face for half the price I paid here. And the laser was stronger. Not sure if my setting was too low on purpose so I'd need more treatments. But I won't be returning here, sadly. read more

Highly recommend Nurse Jane. As someone who's experienced my share of unscrupulous injectors (including plastic surgeons) I can honestly say Jane is not only highly skilled but she has a conscience and a heart. Her skill set includes being able to address disturbing asymmetries on my face resulting from bad surgery to address deformities due to a catastrophic auto accident; her conscience is demonstrated by advising me not to get a service she could easily provided and charged good money for; and her heart is evident in her consistent follow-up after service to make certain I'm good with services she did provide. I get tons of offers for services on Groupon at what appear to be incredibly cheap prices (come on now you've got to ask yourself why) but I wouldn't let anyone but Jane touch my face...so grateful to have found her! read more

Stay faaaar faaar away. I made an appointment with this business for microneedling. Firstly, this office is a tiny room in the waiting area of a doctor's office. I sat outside the "treatment room", next to a SkinTight Medspa employee unabashedly doctoring before and after photos on an ipad! I even asked him if those were before/after pics that he's editing and he said "Just fixing them up." My god!! That was my first tip off. The master injector was late to the appointment so I was brought into the room by a PA (physician assistant...nice guy) who gave me his cell phone to video chat with the "master injector" who was in the back of a cab. My face was numbed with numbing cream and the "master injector" arrived approximately 15 mins later. I asked simple questions regarding the differences in needle depth depending on the area being microneedled and this woman could not provide a cogent answer. I had researched appropriate depths for face/undereye/chest/thighs and she had no reql answer. I then said I did not want to go through with the procedure and she proceeded to berate a young "intern" for not collecting the $600 payment upfront. Stay faaaaaaar faaar away from this woman. I had three procedures done: Botox, IPL and the Clear and Brilliant. On the way to the appointment I worked myself up into a nervous frenzy because I've felt so much pain having these procedures done in the past. However, Jane and her team did the best job I've ever gotten. I didn't feel any pain at all. That's truly a first for me. I was booked for a peeling with Jane this past summer but I was convinced into getting a Fractora treatment for $ 1,200 the first treatment which barely changed anything on my skin. I was promised that this would get rid of my sun spots with patience and time. She offered a complementary light after the first treatment but I realized she was still going to charge me $1,200 for the next 4 or 5 treatments she estimated for the treatment to work meaning a total of $6,000 to remove sun damage. I was under the impression that first payment was the total treatment cost. I did my research and the Fractora cost in between $350 - $800 in Madison Ave NYC. I'm very disappointed because my whole budget is gone and I had barely any change. read more
