Was taken to Eno Vino as a surprise. It is exactly the kind of establishment I go to when I want to…read moreunwind and enjoy myself. It's luxe and well maintained and it's romantic, family friendly and trendy at the same time. The food was superb, I love the family style that everything's served in. I'm excited to go back and enjoy their extreme wine selection. The dessert was creative, expressive and delicious. It was unique but flavorful and I love how the ingredients represented different aspects of the desert. Service was friendly and helpful. They were patient with our questions and we never felt rushed or like we extended our stay, so much so we ordered a second entree after our first . We will definitely be back! This place is quickly placed in my top 5 for Madison!

Nice complement of sweetness added by the bourbon, apple & rutabaga hash with coconut parsnip purée. My favorite was the smoked salmon bruschetta. The crème brûlée had a nice crunchy sugar top with the surprise of a brownie base complemented by a topping of raspberry jam. Oh, and did I mention the Truffle Fries? Gotta get the fries! Crunchy and salty outside, soft inside. There is just the right amount of truffle added to bring the fries to another level. Great place to go for a date night.

Second visit -- first time at the new location -- and unfortunately a disappointing one. I was…read moregenuinely excited to bring a friend and support a local spot I've enjoyed in the past. The décor and overall aesthetic are lovely, but the food and service didn't come close to matching the first time. The biggest issue was temperature. Majority of food on the plate was not hot and not warm -- not the chicken, not the rice, not the beans. At the previous location, you could see the chickens roasting on the spit, and the food arrived hot and fresh. Here, I'm not sure what's happening behind the scenes, but the food temps indicate it had all been sitting. The only item that was freshly prepared were the plantains. I didn't bring it up to the server because she was checked out the entire time, and honestly, I can't expect her to remedy the kitchen if she can't bring waters. Why is the kitchen sending out food that clearly isn't hot? Is it being held in a steamer? If so the temps are not being checked and that becomes a food safety issue beyond quality‑control issues. Service itself also missed the mark. The pretty glasses are small -- though pretty-- and I had to flag the server down for refills. Same with the sauces that are supposed to come with the meal; they only arrived after I asked. To be clear it was 1:00 on a Monday and there was one other table in the place at arrival, and one table after our arrival. I had been planning another visit to introduce a different friend, but after this experience, I don't think I'll be returning. I hope things improve, because the new space deserves better execution than what's currently coming out of the kitchen.

OMG this place - it felt like getting a home cooked meal in a tropical wonderland. I came here with…read morea group of friends after it came highly recommended. This place has such a fun atmosphere, it's bright and cheery and full of greenery and bright colors. Just what was needed in the midst of March snowfall. We came for lunch so I didn't have a chance to try and of the fun sounding alcoholic beverages on their drink menu, but it's on my list to come back here. I ended up getting the arroz con pollo. Perfectly cooked chicken over cilantro rice with a bunch of yummy stuff in it! There were two different sauces on the table, I don't even know what they were, but I used both on my rice (even though it didn't need any help) and they were delicious. If I had a complaint, I wish there was an option (charge me $2 extra?) to have the chicken taken off the bone... probably one of my least favorite things to do but I feel I'm in the minority. It wasn't super busy when we went, but our server was still very attentive and kind. Can't wait to come back.
