But, based on the tangible product, increasing your prices for this tourney is unethical if you cannot provide a clean $640 room with working ac during crazy hot weather. For the broken AC, your staff said: "I guarantee it was working" when "said staff" was not in my room at 1 am, 2 am, 3 am and 4 am when I was up trying to get the ac to work. For that, this is why I came here to let future bookings know ;) Lastly, espresso was great, but breakfast was Mid and tiramisu was rotten from the cafe.

The room has a nice size mini fridge and a small microwave in it. They have a ton of pamphlets in the lobby for places to check out in the area. The included breakfast here is excellent! We spent 2 nights here so we had breakfast both mornings here. They have a pancake machine that pops out 2 fresh pancakes in a minute. They also have cereal, bagels, toast, their cinnamon rolls, yogurts, hard-boiled eggs, juice, and hot options like eggs or egg omelets, bacon/sausage, etc. They were doing well in keeping everything stocked. They have coffee available in the lobby 24 hours also. I would absolutely stay here again the next time visiting Cooperstown.

As I searched through possibilities, the first-floor suite at The Phoenix Inn caught my eye and made my decision very easy. This Inn provides everything you need, but there are no frills - the decor and accommodations are pleasant and clean. The beds are very comfortable, there is plenty of hot water, and the wi-fi worked great. There were power strips throughout the room, so we could plug in and recharge our devices. Vicki made the beds and changed the towels daily. There are daily newspapers in the common room and there is always fresh coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available. The guest fridge in the Inn's kitchen is great for chilling the goodies you get at Ommegang Brewery or the local wineries. The food is excellent. Each morning Vicki provides a buffet featuring fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, cereal, freshly-baked goodies from the Inn's kitchen, and a hot dish. The stand-outs during our visit were the Blueberry French Toast and the Raspberry-Cream Cheese Coffeecake. Vicki was amenable to special requests and was happy whip up a few scrambled eggs for my diabetic husband and she made sure to have the appropriate foods for two pregnant vegan women who were guests during our time there. The Inn is within 10-15 minutes of most of Cooperstown's attractions, but located away from it all. We had no trouble sleeping. I'd return to The Phoenix Inn.

My kids enjoyed the pool and small arcade. They also had a small laundry room which was so helpful. Staff were so kind and accommodating. We loved our stay and cannot wait to visit again someday!

The prices can really fluctuate depending on whether or not the Cooperstown Hall of Fame games are going on or if it's Parents' Week for the SUNY colleges. Reading previous reviews we were on the lookout for a gravel unpaved road leading up to the lodge. To our surprise, the gravel road folks grumbled about in previous reviews has been paved into a proper road with lights on the left side of the path to guide your way in the evening. as it was a Friday in August most of the families that stayed for the week for dreampark had checked out and I believe there were 20 rooms booked for the weekend. We were greeted by a friendly young man who was courteous and enthusiastic. The lodge was more than accommodating with an early check in (we called ahead to confirm it was ok) and we were given a room with 2 king sized beds, a kitchenette and a spacious bathroom. As our experiences with hotels this summer was less then spectacular I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room and that the filters in the air conditioning unit seem to be regularly cleaned. No musty odors, cobwebs or dust to be found in the room. the kitchenette was spotless with 2 electric stove burners, microwave, sink, and mini fridge. I checked in with the yelp app (they have free wifi) and noticed there was a 15% discount upon check in. I went back to the front office and asked the young man who seemed confused and said he'd inquire. Quite honestly at this point I couldn't care less. If we got it, great but the experience and the lodge already proved themselves to be worth the price. Our next stop was the hot tub and pool. Outdoor and overlooking a stunning mountain view it was hard to pry ourselves away after a couple of hours to shower and go eat. We talked with the young man at the front desk regarding the dinner options in the area and decided on the red shed. I would have checked in at the red shed but there was no reception in the area. After dinner, we came back to a lighted path leading us to the lodge and found another equally as pleasant young man on the night shift. we inquired about the fire pit and if there would be one that evening. He jumped up and led us outside and got a fire going! Sitting outside in adirondack chairs sipping wine in cooperstown on a clear night has got to be one of the most awe inspiring view my eyes have ever witnessed. There isn't a constellation in the sky that hides from your view. You feel both amazed and a part of something much greater than your own existence. We were truly grateful at the chance to witness such a beautiful site atop the mountain. Our beds were as comfortable as they appeared and the room was equipped with directTV for our viewing pleasure. In the morning we woke up early to see the sunrise over the mountains (pics posted), had coffee and a continental breakfast in their main area behind the check in area. it was quaint, relaxing and had a screen room with rhododendron chairs that were comfortable and funky. I couldn't recommend this place more for a relaxing stay. Side note: they do have a game room with a couple of coin operated games and an air hockey table along with a swing set for the kids out front. We didn't get to utlize the spa, but heard the masseuse was good at her craft. *After leaving we received a call from the sister of the young man who checked us in. She figured out the yelp discount and applied it to our account. Thank you August lodge for not only the great relaxing stay but the follow through. worth the visit, just make sure there's availability as it fills up during peak baseball season. highly recommended for dreampark families.

We came here on a Wednesday evening at 6pm and there were fewer than 10 people seated (not including a half a dozen or so at the bar). We had two young kids with us so we ordered quickly in hopes we could get the kids settled, fed and back in the car before they started acting like kids. We ordered chicken fingers and fries for the kids, wings and French onion soup for ourselves followed by a cheesesteak and a cheeseburger. We did not see a single piece of food until 7pm. Literally - one hour from when we ordered until even the kids food showed up. We asked the waitress to check on everything about 45 minutes into the evening and could hear the chef say, "you tell them it'll be out when it's ready". Two stars rather than one because when the food did finally show up it was mostly good. The wings were great, the cheesesteak was great - the burger was tragic, borderline inedible. It tasted like it had been grilled directly on charcoal that was doused in lighter fluid. I'd have sent it back if I wasn't 100% sure we'd end up waiting another hour for a replacement. I'm fairly certain this place won't care about this review - but I hope if you're reading this you'll be dissuaded from wasting your time, money and energy and look to any of a number of other amazing restaurants in the area that serve great food and provide amazing service.

There's a courtyard bistro on site where one can purchase breakfast etc. One morning I ordered the bistro egg sandwich and I don't think that I'd order it again. The scrambled eggs and bacon on it were very good but the handful of dressed arugula was a little off putting. The bottom of the bun was super soggy and it really could not be picked up to eat.

Due to the unreliability of a "corporate" company charging excessively high prices for a motel room in the middle of absolutely nowhere where there's absolutely nothing to do for entertainment, shower was not in proper working order, your "continental" breakfast choice severely limited, front desk girl hanging up on me because she didn't want to work past her allotted time, one would think they, corporate, would not only take their job responsibilities seriously but would actually do their job and in a timely manner. I live on a very tight strict budget wherein I get paid once a month. This money is detrimental for me to survive. Being that 3 weeks have passed payroll has to have been written and given so why couldn't a meager check be written and mailed? If this is how a corporate company operates they obviously do not take their job seriously enough to put a customer first then this corporation deserves to be known for their irresponsibility and I have absolutely no problem exposing them. BBB has been notified and my experience noted.
