One of my favorite places to eat! The boyfriend and I love coming here and sitting at the bar or outside . The nachos are ridiculous good and you have to try their Monk's Mana beer if they have it available, I believe they only have it during the fall and winter? Anyway, the service can be a little slow sometimes on really busy nights but I still love it here because everyone is friendly and the beer/food are delicious. They had some nice happy hour options. I particularly liked the pita and flavorful hummus. I don't drink, but some of the people I went with loved their beer. What I found to be really spectacular and special about this place is the panoramic view of the mountains from the deck. We were visiting family in Corvallis and being up there on that deck, witnessing the view that surrounds the lucky people of Corvallis (Do you people in Corvallis know how lucky you are? We dined on the roof this last weekend. Absolutely wonderful time. They are doing a great job with adhering to all the unreasonable restrictions put on them, and flourishing! We had the Margarit Pizza, Tater Tots as well as a Prickly Pear Cider. The Tots were a little salty, however that could have just been our tastebuds as we have removed Salt at home. The pizza was delicious and perfectly cooked! The prickly pear cider was a nice pairing with the pizza. We greatly enjoyed our evening away from kids. read more

The bad first: what the hell with the wine glasses? I believe that they hold, maybe, 5 oz. if lucky but the shape (tumbler squat) has them looking like it's a thimble-full. SO TIRED of these Willamette Valley eateries - even if brew pubs - treating wine like it's way worse than second class. Pity! The place is dirty. And the sheer volume of food is insane. A weird complaint - too much - but the nachos will kill you they are so abundant and so when you eat something else you are wiped out and need to snooze. Perfect for college students on a budget! The good is: great fun on the rooftop with the bean bag toss. Looking out over the town. The view. The service is good, the staff fun and friendly. This place used to be one of our favorite places especially for their hoppy hour. The only thing is quality and service has been going downhill. When we were seated they were slow with a bunch of tables open. We were seated at the one table that had a wall blocking over galf the table. This time we ordered a burger without a bun due to a gluten allergy and seafood chowder. After seeing a couple of other tables seated after us served their food we received ours. With a bun on the burger, he asked us if that was ok. Then after we told him no he then offered to remake it if we want. He brought it back and supposedly grabbed someone else's, skeptical since he was back in a minute and she wasn't feeling well later. It was a super lovely evening so the idea of sitting outside drew us to Sky High. Being that it was a Saturday night and there were several events in town it was pretty busy. We were given a 45 minute wait time which was pretty accurate. After 45 minutes we were hurriedly seated and pressured into ordering quickly with something along the lines of "the kitchen is backed up so if you don't order quick it could be a long wait no promises." Our food arrived less than 5 minutes afterwards, which gave me a fast food/quick assembly vibe, instead of a "cooked to order" experience. The food was nothing special and was pricy for Corvallis. Love this place so much and so glad Corvallis has this place with the roof top. The only thing I would say I wish the menu was better for the top but either way, it's our spot after work several days a week. Playing corn hole, sunshine and laughs is part of what makes the atmosphere here so great. However I do not come for the beer being a spirits girl myself. This place is part of a phenomenon I've noticed in Corvallis since moving here: mediocre food (in my opinion) that gets really good reviews. I've been here maybe 4 times. The beer gets 3.5/5, the food gets 2/5. I've had the tacos, the standard burger, the chicken wings, and the flatbread & hummus appetizer. None of them were good. The food isn't awful, but it just doesn't taste like food that I want to pay for. They have a good selection of beers, but a lot of their IPAs taste the same and have kind of a metallic finish. I will say that the view from the roof is great and the service was fine. read more

Great to have another brew pub in Corvallis. They had 10 beers on tap when we visited. We tried the flight of 5 beers for $5. I liked most of what I tried, can't wait to go back for another round. The seating area is quite small. I'm guessing there is space for about 25 people to sit down. I like the intimate setting with the bullpen view of the brewing operation. Lots of stainless to gawk at. We didn't try the food, since the full restaurant is not open yet. I was a bit sad to hear that the place is owned by the American Dream. Would be nice to have some ownership diversity in town. I'm guessing this is going to become a really popular place as soon as the construction is complete. read more

Please note, Sky High Brewing is in the midst of building their brew pub. The place is currently "open," but the main restaurant/bar/outdoor areas will not be finished until June, 2013. Atleast that's what the server said; it sounds a little optimistic to me. First off, Sky High lists the alcohol content and IBU's for each concoction and it is a great way to eyeball a brew. Prices were very reasonable, and their $5 5-beer sampler is a great way to taste their selection for a reasonable price. Personally, I thought the Stratomärzen Festbier was the best; fruity and lively but not overdone. The building itself is also quite nice. With a warm quality and beautiful full-grained wood bar tops, I definitely prefer the atmosphere at Sky High over other breweries in town. The service was top notch, which is (sadly) rare these days. Overall, I highly recommend checking out Sky High Brewing for their beer and warm, inviting atmosphere. I can't wait until the place is finished. read more

Best beers in Corvallis and the Valley for that matter. All their beers are stellar, the food is awesome and the happy hour is great...pepper jack mac-n-cheese with bacon....yum!!! Servers are happy and friendly and great. Bartenders Amber, Joey, Jason, Tory, Jessie are the absolute best. Sky high is great as long as you go in knowing what you're getting. It's loud, more than the average loud. Usually busy but they turn over tables quickly. They have good beer, great if you pick the right one (Jingle Balz is crazy good for the holidays). Service is solid but not wildly inspiring. Food is good overall. Best margarita in Corvallis. Four-story nachos are delightful. Waiter was accommodating when we asked for extra guacamole instead of sour cream. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot. We recommend the pulled-pork as a topping. One of our party got the Queen Mary - think Bloody Mary meets smorgasbord. Sausage, string cheese, vegetables. It was a meal and a cocktail together. The Sky High burger is the go-to comfort food, though. We recommend sweet potato fries and fry sauce. The wait staff are amazing. Keep it up, Sky High. Good quality ingredients and interesting food. Sky High is an awesome place to spend a sunny day at. It consists of four-ish floors: when you first enter, you'll be greeted with stairs and just walk on up (or take the elevator). The second floor is the brewing area with side tables. The third floor is the restaurant where you can put your name down for either and indoor or outdoor table. They also take your number down so they can text you when your table is ready. Lastly, the fourth "floor" is where the rooftop bar is at. There's a limited selection of beer and mixed drinks up there. There are a lot of tables and space, as well as, some games to play. The prices are super reasonable and affordable. I tried their High & Outside IPA and LPA (Linus Pauling Ale - shush, I know I'm nerdy), and they were both great! My friend had the sangria, but it just tasted like a cocktail (she didn't complain cause it still tasted good). The food was great and our server was attentive and friendly. Fun fun fun sky high for sure and fun. Wine comes in stupid short glasses. Wine list sucks and they pour short and all of that is the reason for only four stars. Don't expect wine miracles, but come on, offer something decent and pour 5 - 6 ounces as it takes a while to get a refill. That said, big fat bar food with a great big sky and the bean-bag thing on the roof top and beers and big fat fun. We come play here every time when in the area and love it and everyone is fun and friendly, good service. Only thing really wrong here is almost the snub to wine and as a wine maker, grower and drinker would like to see this pub try a bit harder to appeal outside just the beer thing. read more

Not a good experience. They misled us on the wait time for a table, intentionally I believe, took 40 minutes! That there was the wait for drinks and food... It was more than an hour all together before we had our beers even! The waiter forgot one of our drinks the first time he came and was off so quick I almost didn't catch him to ask for it. They seemed very under staffed and stressed out. They also ran out of several dinner entrees and we didn't find out until at least 5 minutes after the waiter took our order. They were out of both the entrees my two dinner companions ordered. I got their Porter and it was a little warm, not memorable at all in flavor and very weak by alcohol content (5%). I drank most of the pint on an empty stomach and felt very little effect. Then the food came... Mushy, hard to digest fries and a dry, mealy burger patty that had pulled into a ball from being so overcooked and dry, and a very chewy, sweet, indigestible bun. Just damn disappointing food. Add in the service, noise level, and outrageous prices, that awful burger cost over 13$, and it made for an anger inducing meal that I WON'T repeat. Extremely disappointing. read more
